My friend and I were guests at Villa Angela from August 7th to August 18th, 2023. We received a very warm welcome. The duplex room was simple but very spacious and even equipped with a kitchenette and refrigerator. We preferred to have Giovanni cook for us in the evening because what he conjured up tasted great and was always freshly prepared. So we'll definitely be back.

I stayed a week at Villa Angela, in contact with nature in a clean and welcoming structure with a beautiful swimming pool where you can relax, sip a few drinks and rest at the same time. The staff is superb, very friendly and always available for any type of need. The hosts made our holiday unforgettable thanks to their friendliness. In particular, thanks to Mr. Giovanni and his son Pasquale, who made our holiday unique and special. Further praise for the food, as it is varied, always fresh, plentiful and of excellent quality. The structure is located a stone's throw from the sea (approximately 250 meters), an oasis of relaxation and tranquility, just 10-15 minutes from the center of Skiathos. Villa Angela is a beautiful green oasis a few km from Skiathos town, and just 200 meters from Asellinos beach. The Padula family welcomed us right away with kindness and helpfulness, and what won us over even more, in addition to the cleanliness and courtesy, was Mr. Giovanni's cooking, who prepared delicacies for us such as fried calamari, mixed roast meat , feta vegetables as well as a tiramisu as good as grandma's ☺️. Beyond the excellent refreshment, the quiet of the structure in the countryside allowed us total relaxation accompanied by its floral beauty and its swimming pool. Villa Angela is an oasis of peace in a beautiful valley with pine trees. It has a beautiful swimming pool, but the Aselinos beach, a ten-minute walk away, is also beautiful. The family is very nice and Giovanni's cooking skills are excellent. He is of Italian descent and Angela is Greek. There is no menu, but every evening it is a surprise what is for dinner. The rooms are simple but neat. If you are looking for peace and quiet in a friendly atmosphere, I recommend this place. Eric & Annemieke

One star for the great location if you like it quiet. The complex is run down and neglected, however. The room was only cleaned every 3 or 4 days, the floor was so dirty after a week that your soles got dark if you walked around in it without slippers. There was mold on the wall in the shower and the bathroom door handle kept falling out when you tried to open the door. Of the 2 lights on the ceiling, only one worked. The bed was rock hard and very uncomfortable. The walls are very thin, you can even hear your neighbors farting and burping. The complex is run by a family. But my husband and I didn't get a family atmosphere. Giovanni, the boss in particular, was unfriendly and ignorant. When booking, it was said that there was WiFi in the room and TV. There was a mini TV, but the picture was so distorted that you couldn't watch anything. There were only 10 channels anyway, 3 of which were in German. There was no WiFi in the room. We informed Pasquale, Giovanni's son, that our WiFi wasn't working in the room. He then lied to us for days. First he claimed he didn't know why it wasn't working. The next day he said it had been replaced and he didn't know the password. Finally he said that the antenna was broken and that he would call the technician to fix it. There was no WiFi in the room for the entire 2 weeks. We then found out from other holidaymakers who had stayed in the villa several times that there had never been WiFi in the rooms, only in the garden below. Breakfast was always the same and very little. 2 slices of cheese and 2 slices of salami with the same very thickly sliced ​​white bread. You had to ask for more, like eggs or yogurt, and they reacted to this in an annoyed and stressed manner. Coffee was always just filter coffee, even though there was a proper coffee machine. Often you couldn't order something extra because Pasquale wasn't there and his girlfriend did breakfast service, but she doesn't understand German or English. So I went to the kitchen to order to Giovanni, but he reacted annoyed and angry, even though I told him that Pasquale's girlfriend didn't understand anything and his son wasn't there. Often the yogurt I ordered didn't arrive, or fried eggs were brought instead. We ate in the hotel 3 times. On the first day I had a souvlaki, with a side dish of boiled peppers. The price was 10 euros, and the portion was very small. My friend had a sea bream with the same side dish. The food was good, but the fish was more expensive than in most restaurants at just under 23 euros. Then we took part in the barbecue evening, also just under 23 euros per person. Giovanni stood at the grill, Pasquale brought the food and served drinks. There was almost only meat, and the side dish for 2 people was 10 chips. You couldn't get the best salad.

We were able to spend two wonderful weeks in Villa Angela. The complex is wonderfully quiet, surrounded by forest and close to the beach. It is lovingly designed. The atmosphere is relaxed, laid-back and familiar. Giovanni cooks excellently, you shouldn't miss that. The studios are beautifully furnished and - of course - clean!
