The setting is lovely, a typical resort hotel nestled in the mountains, next to a lake. The rooms are classic European style, rather basic, but clean and tidy. The surroundings are particularly nice. It's a shame I was here on business...

Beautiful, quiet location, exceptionally clean and well maintained. Very comfortable beds- we had a 2 bed apartment with kitchen facilities and a sitting room with a balcony. Good quality toiletries were provided also a good selection of teas, coffee and soft drinks free of charge. Breakfast was excellent and dinner reasonably priced.

Lovely hotel in a stunning lake area well worth exploring. Nice hotel - apartment style rooms with separate living room, hallway, bathrooms. Friendly welcoming staff. Swimming pool & spa facilities that were nice. Good traditional restaurant for dinner

Of all the places that we stayed in Bulgaria, all of them good, this was perhaps the best. High up, amid the tall trees and next to the beautiful Smolyan Lakes, with clear air and nature all around. The room was large, clean, well equipped and had a balcony. The staff were friendly, knowledgable and helpful, from reception right through to the hands-on manager. The restaurant and bar were easy going with tasty food clearly prepared fresh on the day. We are already missing the mountains.
