We had a wonderful time at this resort! It was me,my husband, our adult daughter and our 9 year old son. Everyone loved it and we are already planning our next trip! I was a little disappointed that there weren't any loungers on the beach,but when we asked at the front they said we could take a few down,as long as we brought them back. We did that and it was awesome, we especially enjoyed the quiet beach to the right,but they both were nice. I've stayed at a few all inclusive resorts and this was the best food we've eaten. It's definitely quality over quantity, there's not a huge variety, but everything was delicious! There were just a few things that could have made our stay better, but nothing that would prevent us coming back. A drink menu at the bar would be nice,especially for travelers like me that mostly drink on vacation. I never know what to order and it's helpful if the bartender can recommend something. We were on the 3rd floor and the elevator wasn't working, so if you have mobility issues,its probably best to request a ground floor room. We definitely got our exercise while we were there :) Also, our room was set up a little oddly. The main area, by table and chairs had the big bed in it and the day bed was in the room that had a door. It definitely was not a big deal. The room was very spacious and clean. The best part was the staff!! Everyone was amazing, from housekeeping (who layed out my son's plushies every morning--very cute) , the guys at reception (where you also get towels) , the bartenders and everyone in the restaurant!! We didn't encounter anyone even slightly grumpy,they were all smiles all.the time! Very friendly, helpful and worked so hard every day! They definitely made our vacation special, we can't wait to come back! The trio was also very affordable, a great value for your money.

This resort is newly bought back- the original owners are amazing. We met them by the pool, we didn't know they owned the place as they are down to earth, kind and friendly people. Their conversation with us guests didn't seem insincere, they are owners who genuinely love people and are excited to meet new friends. The hotel staff go out of their way to ensure the culture of the resort is welcoming, warm, and safe. I would definitely bring my kids here. There are tours (monkey adventure was amazing) that can pick you up, and Margot's restaurant is just up the road and has fantastic food! It's an easy walk into town- and you'll be glad to stay here as there is no road noise (Sosua main road has some loud motors). Enjoy this place- it has been my favorite place to stay. It's absolutely charming

A hidden gem in a tropical paradise, Sosua by the Sea Hotel is undergoing a complete renaissance. Having recently regained ownership, the family that built this 90-room, 3-story boutique hotel is infusing it with improvements inside and out. Only 15 minutes from POP airport, the hotel is nestled in a quiet section of town right on the waterfront. Sequestered from the noise of partygoers and motoconchos, at Sosua by the Sea there are no boisterous crowds or group activities, just a serene setting in which to relax and regenerate. The hotel is remarkably well run with a capable and caring staff to attend to your every need. Attention is given to each guest. The staff, including 24/7 security, ensures a peaceful, safe environment in which to unwind and enjoy the climate and the culture of the Dominican Republic.

We came to stay at this boutique hotel by means of a missions group experience. The room was clean & comfy, the buffet was sufficient enough to fill a hungry belly, This small resort suited the needs for a place to eat & sleep and provides a wild & calm sea experience on either side. What gives this place the boost of stars were the people that work here. The front desk manager Jose is excellent and was a great help to me when I needed it ! Ernesto the night desk manager was also extremely helpful. The support staff keep the grounds tidy, rooms clean and food & beverage wait staff are working hard to please. There a few local vendors selling their souvenirs just a few steps down; Anna, Rufino & Eppy are wonderful people deserving of our few $ to take a some gifts home. Make sure you tell them “Carmen” sent you !

One of Sosua’s older hotels, Sosua by the Sea is back in the hands of its original owners. The hotel is undergoing a refresh; suck as sliding balcony doors and windows and standing shower stalls. Aside from great service, one of the most underappreciated aspects of Sosua is its location, centrally located but on a quiet side street. The hotel itself is peaceful, no blaring music or huge crowds. I thoroughly enjoyed the serene nature of Sosua by the Sea and find it preferable to some of its noisier and stuffier alternatives.

Stayed here for a quick visit. If your looking for a luxury resort this is not it however the rooms were clean. Enjoyed the stay here. The views and the sunset were amazing! Ps jump off the small cliff there lots of fun !

Been here 3 times and got to stay one of my favourite places beautiful cheap locals are friendly hot relaxing and plenty of night life 👌🖒 I will be deffo coming back to sausa and its a lot cheaper then Mexico

wow ecelente hotel your super employee there is a guy in the bar called luigi in my opinion one of the best bartenders🍹🍸 in the drink that are at the level of a 5 star hotel cleanliness of the hotel super good super good food all years i will return😁

Beautiful resort. We arrived a few days after a heavy. The waves were so strong, the beach surrounding resort was closed the couple of days. For a native New Yorker city gal, the waves hitting the rocks was a spectacular sight to see.. Ocean view room, sleeping to the sound of the ocean. Great array of Caribbean cuisine.

The room, the pool area, the bar and the buffet were all great, and the staff were always smiley and helpful. The food was varied, and well-cooked, with plenty of fresh vegetables and delicious fruit. The wifi was good, and we loved the view from the restaurant area - watching a Caribbean sunset takes some beating!

Had an absolutely gorgeous corner room on the top floor that overlooked both the sea as well as the pool. Very clean. Very friendly staff. We ate breakfast and dinner at the resort every day and the food was plentiful and tasty. The bar staff was nice, however, two nights in a row they didn't have any rum or tequila. Didn't run out after a busy day, just didn't get it restocked with their shipment. How does a Dominican resort not have rum or tequila? HaHa! The beach was beautiful as well.
