Pullman Stuttgart Fontana

Stuttgart|2.1km from Informatik Uni-Stuttgart
My daughter is based in the Army in Stuttgart, so I stayed in the hotel for 5 nights. I have to say that except for one young woman, the Reception staff was the most inhospitable that I have ever encountered. It started with my arrival. I had a confirmed reservation, had checked in on line, and had informed the hotel that I would be arriving late. When I arrived, the reception clerk spent 10 minutes working on the computer and mumbling something before finally informing me that they had no room for me. They did offer to send me to another hotel and then I could either move back to the Pullman or stay at the other hotel. Of course, I had no idea how close this hotel was or any other information. I insisted that there must be a room there -- and they finally said that there was a suite available for one night and that I would have to move the following morning (which I did). Through all of this, there were no apologies for the inconvenience nor any offered compensation for the inconvenience of having to change rooms. They acted like I was being unreasonable for insisting on a room. During my stay, if I needed anything from the front desk, I frequently had to wait while they finished not one -- but several tasks and took a new phone call while I waited. Not once did I see a smile on anyone's face. I was not alone in receiving this treatment -- and noticed that other customers were treated equally as rudely. The room was comfortable, although the carpet always looked dirty. The housecleaning was undependable -- some days they came and some days they did not. I have stayed in other Pullman hotels, and this one did not meet the standards of the chain for cleanliness, and custome service.

The friends we went to from the airport were very convenient. It would be great if we took a taxi directly. Then the front desk service was very friendly. We stayed in so many hotels and felt that the price performance of the hotel was very high. Recommended

In the nearby highway, it's nice when you're on the transit. Furthermore, there was too little staff and too many guests to eat in the restaurant. That's why we were treated shortly and unfriendly. Eating was very good. After dinner we were ignored. When we wanted to order coffee with apple strudel, it couldn't be closed, the kitchen could be closed, the coffee could be closed, and when we wanted to order a drink after the coffee, it was briefly replied that it was the last round. They were going to close at 22:00, no one had told us. The room was good, beds were fine, bathroom simple. Our friends had a much smaller room somewhere in the corner of the hotel with a bathroom where you could hardly turn around. The shower cord that sticks to your body when you douche, not hygienic, near the bed, there was little place to stand, this room was not worth the money compared to our room.

They have been here occasionally in recent years. Under new name has not changed so much. The reservation works perfectly as always. If no major events are taking place in the area, cheap prices and offers are available. The car route to the deep garage is good, but then you need to find the right outlet in the huge deep garage of the shopping centre. The hotel is not central in Stuttgart, but in the foretown, the connection with the S-Bahn (5-10 min walking distance) is also good in the evening. Reception and check-in quickly, polite, uncomplicated. Rooms and bathrooms are clean, and functional, but no luxury. Some rooms on the main street can be quite loud at open windows. On the other hand, you can sleep very quiet. In summer it can also warm in the rooms depending on location and sunlight. The breakfast buffet was always very good, at the moment the choice is significantly restricted by the health situation, but the quality is still acceptable. Whoever is aware of the situation, for whom stay here is worth its price.

I had a pleasant stay in Rioca 6. My room was beautiful and clean, the staff was very helpful, especially Marsilda was nice and friendly. The hotel area was mainly office buildings (15 min walk to nearest supermarket), but U-bahn to the centre of Stuttgart was near, only a five minute walk away.

Husband and I went out for dinner and as left a vulgar man insulted us and demanded we pay for his door. We started to ask what was happening but immediately realized this was someone swindling us and walked off. He was a regular white male with a lot of tattoos. When we returned this unidentified man in street clothes was behind the counter and an argument ensued when he demanded payment (of which he could even show a picture). He refused entry and we called the police. Police said there was nothing they can do if we are asked to leave. That employee cussed at us, refused to retrieve items from the room, wore no uniform or badge (everyone else had on red ties and suspenders). His appearance and unprofessional will ensure I never stay near this place.

Different. Very relaxing ambience, not brightly lit. The young staff are all very pleasant and can speak to you with a warming smile. Lots of seating in foyer and if you can play the guitar there’s a couple there for residents. The bedroom are different but everything there that is needed. Our first night was very peaceful but on the second night we were awakened @ 1.30 am to the sound of a French couple who stormed into their bedroom next door to us arguing and shouting at each other very loudly. I put up with it unto 1.45 and then thumped the adjoining wall quite loudly when they quietened down a little, for a while. The room has no phone so I couldn’t ring down to inform them. The bed and pillows were clean and comfortable . We didn’t have any food so can’t comment on that. Lovely wee spot and very central.
