Hotels near Cruzeiro Serra do Morião in Terceira Island

My partner and I stayed at the Angra Marina Hotel late November 2023. The Hotel was located in Angra Do Heroismo overlooking Mount Brazil and the harbor. IT was a perfect location for our walking adventures and we took in the beautiful city of Angra Do Heroismo enjoying the local beauty of the town, the cafes, shops and of course the wonderful Christmas lights displaying the festivities of what was to come later in the month The front desk staff were wonderful, accommodating and the hotel's comfort and restaurant and breakfasts were great and we began our day in the beautiful dining room and end of day the comforts of our very nice hotel room. We could not have found a better place for our stay in Terceira as we journeyed from there to Lisbon and Porto but retained the wonderful memories of or stay at the Angra Marina Hotel! IT was wonderful!

Nice, modern hotel, and we had a very nice updated room with lovely views of the ocean and the Fort. Pretty good breakfast too. Free parking so you can walk about 10 minutes to get to the heart of the old town for shopping and restaurants. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The only very small thing we didn’t love was that to get to our room on the 3rd floor we had to walk by the open door of the gym - typical gym smells emanating so wish they would have left the door to the gym closed. Other than that, a great stay!

Very spacious with a living room and associated small kitchen, sleeping room with very spacious beds, bathroom and terrace with ocean view. 2 TVs available. The hotel is located just over the ocean. The hotel is located just over the ocean. There is a 'walk' along which you come on about 10' steps in the centre of Praia with the O pescador restaurant. This is how you can leave your car at the hotel and have the opportunity to try the Azorian wines. It was far from our best residence and breakfast of our 6 visiting islands (Sao Miguel,,Terceira, Graciosa, Sao Jorge, Pico and Faial). We would have liked to stay there for a day, but our planning for inland flights and boat connections was not allowed, because there are not all the days. flight and boat connections with all islands (after Terceira, Graciosa). If we come back to the Azores, it's first Terceira, With Atlantida Mar. We stayed in a junior suite for just 2 nights on the 7th and 8th of June. Very spacious with a lounge and associated small kitchen, sleeping area with very spacious beds, bathroom and terrace with a view of the ocean. 2 televisions available. Made use of the outdoor pool and hot tub. Very friendly reception. Excellent buffet breakfast with a large choice, including fresh fruit. The goods were constantly replenished. The hotel is located just above the ocean. In between there is a 'walking track' along which you reach the center of Praia after about 10 steps, including the O pescador restaurant. For example, you can leave your car at the hotel and you have the opportunity to taste the Azorian wines. It was by far our best stay and breakfast of our 6 islands visited (Sao miguel, Terceira, Graciosa, Sao Jorge, Pico and Faial). Normally we would have liked to stay there one day longer, but our planning for the internal flights and boat connections did not allow this, as there are not all days flight and boat connections with all islands (after Terceira, Graciosa). If we ever come back to the Azores, it will be Terceira in the first place, with the Atlantida Mar.

A superb hotel for our stay in Terceira for 3 nights. We stayed in a large one bedroom apartment which had a small kitchenette/living area and huge bathroom. The free garage parking was appreciated in an area with limited parking. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the old town. Our apartment was on the second floor with a large glass fronted balcony which overlooked the boat yard and sea beyond. The staff were excellent from the moment we arrived with reception providing directions to the secure underground parking for our car, the restaurant staff who were friendly, helpful and professional and housekeeping. The breakfast was superb it included a large buffet with everything from local cheeses and cold meats, bread, pastries and even fresh honey draining from the honey comb. There was also a cooked breakfast on offer but as the buffet was great we didn't go with cooked option. We also appreciated the option to have a barista made coffee with breakfast if desired.

Hotel numa localização privilegiada, mesmo em cima da praia. Já se notam alguns pormenores que precisam de renovação mas mesmo assim é confortável , asseado e tem um staff simpático e diligente. Ficamos num estúdio virado para o mar que dá para um casal mais 1 filho uma vez que possui uma zona de estar com um sofá que se transforma numa cama confortável e um quarto com uma grande cama King size, isto para além de uma casa de banho com duche e banheira e de uma pequena cozinha completamente equipada. Fica situado numa zona central, a 4 km do aeroporto, a partir da qual se pode aceder facilmente a qualquer ponto turístico da Ilha. O pequeno almoço e bastante bom. Possui um pequeno parque de estacionamento gratuito de 4 lugares que só conseguimos usar uma vez, mas há bastante espaço para estacionar gratuitamente a 150m do hotel.

I was offered a 'quiet' room to the back as by receptions own admission front rooms were noisy due to cobblestone roads. The room was directly over aircon system, generating a constant hum even with windows closed. The bathroom is badly designed, with tight toilet situation. Despite rooms appearing available on booking websites, reception stated I could not move for first two nights. I was told I would be moved further along corridor. On my lateish return, I was then allocated a room to the street - even noisier than before. In addition, despite the manger originally claiming all bathroom designs were the same, this turned out to be inaccurate as the room I was moved to had a well-designed bathroom. Basically, I feel I was just messed around by reception, creating stress and spoiling the last days of the holiday and for the above reasons would not recommend.

What a lovely hotel! It is found on the main square and stepping out into a UNESCO area each day is special. The hotel were very quick to add a topper to our hard bed - I wish I’d asked for one before our first night. The rooms on the 4th floor looking out onto the botanical gardens are quiet and it’s a great view - choose numbers 401-411 The AC works quietly and well and even though it was 27C outside one day our room cooled to a pleasant 22C and allowed us to have a break from the midday sun. They do give you a kettle but if you’d like coffee bring your own as they only provide teabags - not a problem but slightly unusual. Breakfast is a bit of a scrum but once you find your way around the dishes it’s ok. The dining room seems a bit functional to me and doesn’t suggest a 4* hotel - we decided it was not a place for us In the evenings. Swimming pool and gym both lovely and towels easily accessed. The terrace is very sunny and a pleasant place when it’s not quite so hot! Very happy here and can recommend it

Very nice, new well careful, breakfast with natural orange juice

We spent two weeks at the hotel and we really liked it. It is a three-star hotel but I have visited many four-star hotels which did not have such good services. We enjoyed our stay very much. Location: right in the centre, near the port and the center of the town. Rooms: spacious and clean rooms. The bathroom accessories should be improved but anything else was really good. Service: extremely friendly and helpful staff who made our stay more convenient. They helped us anytime we needed, they were always smiley and ready to help. Atmosphere: 5/5

This is quite the best hotel-adjacent experience the Azores has to offer, and you won't regret trying it. The individual cabins each offer an escape to the trees, and the sights and sounds of the forest are really something to wake up to. There are a few design quirks, most notably the lack of a bathroom door, but if you travel with a partner with sensitive ears there is always time to admire the view from the balcony. Breakfasts are faultless - seriously, you've never seen such a spread - and if you're getting up early to go whale-watching they'll deliver a pre-packed version to your treehouse fridge the night before. The staff know all there is to know about the island, and although you will certainly need a car (not too wide in the chassis, preferably) they can show you where to drive it for the best views. A daily dip in the salt-water pool seals the deal. Book it now before it becomes impossible to get a reservation!
