Comfort Inn

The sheets were crumpled like no replacement, the air in the room was not good, and it was not a taste. There is no elevator in the hotel, and seven or eight pieces of luggage are going to move upstairs. Speaking a little off topic, from Vancouver all the way to the east to the place, I found that the hotels here are generally very expensive, because it is almost 1000 kilometers to the east to find a slightly like hotel, all the way is a small motel It can be seen that this is a stop where driving must stop. The supermarkets, gas stations and restaurants here are very expensive! Come catch up with Vancouver.

When I need to clean and sanitize including dusting, I then don't recommend a hotel. The floors were not very clean, I clouding carpet, always double check, dust, and especially bathrooms should be spotless! Including doors, baseboards and walls in the bathroom. This was on the the pet floor and the carpet in the hallways, near elevator are dirty, not maintained, even the lobby should always be clean but it was not.
Best Western Plus NorWester Hotel Conference Centre

We tried many locations for a room for the night when we came into Thunder Bay on a road trip. After 5 hotels said they were full we called the Nor’ Western. Staff were very friendly and helpful from the first phone call to find out if they had a room and they did. Lana in the restaurant was very friendly and so easy to talk to. We are so happy we ended up here for the night before going to Winnipeg. The patio area is beautiful. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We would gladly stay here again.
Best Western Thunder Bay Crossroads

One night stay on a Monday night. Room was nice enough, breakfast in the third floor breakfast room was good - seems to mostly the usual pre-made food but the ”quiche” and some nice sourdough bread felt a little bit nicer than at some other hotels. Location seems just okay to me - the things we wanted to do were a bit more ”downtown” but I suppose that depends on what you are doing while you are in town. Close to the airport, several restaurant options and two Metro grocery stores. Seemed like one of the better Thunder Bay options we had available given the corporate rate I got.
Valhalla Hotel & Conference Centre

We always book a room at the Valhalla Inn on our way through Thunder Bay, and usually look forward to staying. Unfortunately, this trip was a disappointment and will likely be our last. We stayed in a king studio drive up. Soon after arriving and settling in we found that a light in the suite wasn't working, and the sliding door from the suite to the parking lot was broken (both the latch and the charlie bar), apparently the result of a recent break-and-enter. We returned to the front desk and were offered a different room. The new room reeked of cigarette smoke and so we returned to the front desk again and indicated we could stay in the original room if someone would fix the door. A very plesant maintenance worker was in and out of the room a few times and ultimately secured the door with a broom stick. When we approached the front desk to request compensation for the poor room condition and disruption to our evening we were informed no compensation was possible as we had booked our trip with Expedia. Furthermore, the front desk employee was curt and unapologetic for the inconvenience. When we travel we opt to pay a little more to feel safe, comfortable and welcome. The Valhalla failed to meet these expectations and next time through the city we plan to explore the Best Western Plus Norwester.
Ramada by Wyndham Thunder Bay Airlane Hotel

Not the usual quality for a Wyndham hotel. Very disappointed. Building is an old motel. Entrance and reception area were redecorated quite nicely though. Room was small, shower curtain was filthy, one of the shampoo canisters in the shower stall was missing, was only given one set of towels for two people. There was something on the wall covered in a facecloth, did not dare look underneath the face cloth, peep hole in door was replaced with cardboard, carpet old and stained, dated decor, phone in room did not work, no fridge in room, no breakfast, no elevator. Restaurant in hotel was not open and desk staff was not very helpful in finding a restaurant near by. When we reserved the room we specified that we were looking for a hotel with restaurant inside the hotel they did not mention that the restaurant would be closed. Drunk young man in front foyer of hotel swearing loudly into cell phone for quite some time but hotel staff was not trying to deal with him at all. Would not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.
