Wendy and Steve are fantastic hosts, nothing is too much trouble. Fantastic breakfast, super comfy rooms and an ideal location for exploring Torquay. They even recommend places to eat and visit, we will be again soon.

Very clean and nice rooms, Wendy and Steve are very friendly and a good laugh. The breakfasts is first class with ingredients locally sourced. The Hotel is located in a very nice area with of road parking. We will defiantly stay again when visiting this area.

This is the best place to stay in Torbay. As well as being spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, spacious room and well equipped bathroom, there are the fabulous breakfasts. Great choice with many healthy options, fresh fruit and homemade yogurt, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options available. The hot food is cooked to order, all high quality local produce, so delicious. Other features include the honesty bar in the lounge, fresh milk and drinking water always available in the fridge, also homemade cake which was totally yummy and moreish. Located just a couple of minutes walk to the abbey and then 10 minutes along the sea front to reach Torquay harbour and some great restaurants. The high number of returning guests is testimony to Wendy and Steve and the thoughtfully considered detail that makes The Berburry feel like a home away from home.

We had a wonderful time at the Berburry. Wendy and Steve spoiled us with outstanding breakfasts, top-notch recommendations, and great hospitality. The room was clean and spacious. The location was quite convenient for both Torquay and for visiting the surrounding areas. Looking forward to our next stay!

Fabulous place to stay, our room had been renovated and the decor was gorgeous with quirky touches. Really lovely hosts, above and beyond. Great location, short walk into harbour. The cooked breakfast was outstanding, ask about the eggs!!

We stayed here at the end of March when we had some unseasonal sunshine. Torquay is quite hilly so we were really pleased to find the hotel was a short flat walk to the seafront and town centre. We stayed in a deluxe double room which was spotlessly clean and comfortable with great toiletries and plenty of fluffy towels. The hotel is small with only 10 bedrooms but had plenty of space and a really nice honesty bar. The service from Wendy and Steve the owners was exceptional, friendly but not intrusive. Best of all was the breakfast which definitely was a 10 out of 10. Lovely fresh fruit salad, homemade yogurt pots and best of all, locally sourced ingredients for a huge cooked English breakfast which was absolutely delicious. ( thank you Wendy in the kitchen). We would be looking to stay here if we are in the area again and would definitely recommend.

What a welcome! From start to finish this stay was a pleasure. The beds were comfortable, the breakfast fantastic and all done with a smile. Sometimes you stay places where you know you will go back, because the people and place were just so nice. This will be one of them. Thank you.

Great stay at The Burberry. We couldn’t have asked for more! Lovely welcome, great rooms, loads of local knowledge (Wendy even booked a table at a local pub for us!) Great breakfast too. We are doing the South West Coast Path - we’d walked from Teignmouth before our stay and then went on to Brixham on Sunday! Great place - we will come back!

From arriving to departure our visit was very welcoming, the team can’t do enough for you. Our room was perfect, facilities brilliant. The following morning we had the breakfast we booked and this was outstanding. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough, we are regular visitors to Torquay, and this will be the first place we check for availability.
