Hotel New Otani Tottori Reviews

Excellent location just few steps from the Tottori Station. Hotel has some history but still mantain in it's shape. Breakfast can be skpped as only limited food provided. Hotel is bit over priced with almost Yen 20,000/nite for a semi double room .......

The standard single room on the 8th floor of the hotel has a wall outside the window, no scenery to see, a bit depressing. The hotel is in a good location, just opposite JR Tottori Station. After exiting the station, cross the road on the left to reach the hotel gate. The hotel must be checked in after 3 pm. I arrived at noon on the first day and could only store my luggage in the lobby to go to Tottori Sand Dunes. The hotel front desk recommended a barbecue restaurant called "Dajiangjun", where the wagyu tastes good and the price is not expensive. The breakfast was OK. There was probably a group on the first day. I went to have breakfast at 8:30 in the morning. There was nothing to eat, and there was only one boiled egg left.

The front desk staff were very polite. The hotel is close to the station, so I was able to arrive at the hotel without getting very wet in the rain.

A typical Japanese hotel, the room is small but very clean, the service is attentive, and it is just opposite Tottori Station, with extremely convenient transportation. Perfect!

This is one of the best hotels in Tottori, just opposite the station. But maybe because the hotel is old, the room is very cold, and there is no way to control the air conditioning. I wanted to ask the hotel to give me a heater, but I think it’s better not to cause trouble to the hotel. The Japanese are an excellent nation that does not cause trouble to others.

I changed to a larger twin bed. The room is much larger and more comfortable. It is a standard star hotel with a good breakfast.

I was a little worried that the double room would be a little small, but it was actually quite good. The service was as good as always, and I will stay here again next time.

It's a better hotel than a business hotel. It's a quiet place to stay, and it's perfect. From this stay, the parking fee is 600 yen per day. I usually stay without meals, but for the first time in a long time, I chose a plan that includes breakfast. I went to the breakfast venue around 7:30, so I was able to sit down without waiting, but a queue was formed immediately after that. I would like to ask for improvement.

Just opposite the subway station, very convenient location

It's been so long that it's uncomfortable. This hotel has a vintage feel because the overall facilities are old. I recommend a renovated room. But this room is expensive.

Very close to Tottori Station, 3 minutes walk from the door is basically across the road, visible to the naked eye. This time I live on the 9th floor, which was opened after renovation in 2018. The room is Double bed with breakfast, the price is good. Although the hotel does not have a hot spring, the basic facilities are good, most of the Japanese, few foreign tourists. The carpet in the room was not cleaned every day, and the door detox juice was not replaced. The English skills of the welcome guests are limited, but the attitude is acceptable. Breakfast food is very good, basic Japanese and English requirements, Staff attitude is good.

The room was wrong at first, so I complained and changed it back to the original room, but it was too tiring to move around.

It is located right in front of the bus stop for Tottori Station and the sand dunes, so it is especially convenient for traveling without a car. The front desk staff and cleaning staff were also very kind to us.

Because it was just a transfer, I chose a hotel closer to the station. The hotel's decoration style is still a bit old, but the facilities are still very complete and the service is very good
