We wanted to stay for 2 days but we stayed for 11 days. The accommodation is a dream. Delicious food, clean rooms, and hosts to fall in love with. We fell in love. We would recommend the accommodation to any traveler who is nearby. On site it is possible to go on snorkeling tours at Mena and also go dolphin watching. A local guide who puts a lot of love into his tours and gives 110%. An absolute dream

Moon Isle by far one of the best places we have ever stayed in ❤️ The food, drinks and service are impeccable. You feel like you are a part of the family at a lovely and tasteful home right on the beach.. Mandy, Umesh and staff are the warmest, kindest people. No request is too much for them to handle. The kitchen turns out delicious Sri Lankan dishes suited to your taste :) the other cuisines are also super ( we had the BLT and the prawn pasta both excellent) To top it off Mandy arranged a whale watching experience which was just incredible …. So happy we got to experience this fantastic little gem and hope to be back soon.

The host, Maddy, is just fantastic. Not only the place is a peace of heaven but she will treat you like you are a family member. She runs her place with all her heart and her team reflects her mindset. If you are around Nilaveli, I would suggest you to stop there as you will definitely feel outside of time for a few days! Waking up to smile and with the feet on the sand, what else?! :)

We‘ve been at Mandys house for 5 nights and it was the best place of our 18 days trip in Sri Lanka. Mandy and her wonderful staff made everything happen and looked after us like we were part of the family. Thank you all for this wonderful time, hope to see you again! The food btw was also the best we had in all this time.

Let me start by saying we are not staying at Moon Isle. We are staying at the Cardamon hotel next-door. Although breakfast is included at our hotel, it is minimal and staying here feels like we are in the twilight zone. Greatly and thankfully, even though the manager “here” did not promote it, we wandered down next-door to Moon Isle. Sweet and unpretentious, they serve lovely, cocktails, and very good food. We gave up the free breakfast here just to go over there and have breakfast and privilege of sitting with our feet in the sand and being served by happy attentive staff. Shout out to owner manager, Mandy and her partner and cook, Umesh. Take photos of my girlfriend and I on the beach this morning. We will be going back there at lunch and dinner.

This is the best place to stay in Nilaveli. It's off the road and through a little jungle to this wonderful home stay on the beach. The rooms are very clean and all have their own private entrance. Good air con and hot shower. The food is some of the best we have had in Sri Lanka. Mandy and Umesh make you part of the family as soon as you arrive and cannot do enough for you. We booked for a week and wish we had booked for longer. Can recommend this place 100 percent. We will certainly return.

Great location and cozy place we love this place .We stayed 3 nights and food was amazing (BBQ )hats off to the chef thats exceptional .Mandy always with smile ,she always make sure that we are comfortable and make sure everything is okay. They always take pre order of our preference food and served which exceed our expectations . As a dog lover there are additional host you might love to entertain you while your on holiday ( bubbles) the fur baby of the house . They also arranged our trip to pigeon island which is magnificent view and amazing worth the money thank you and see you soon.

Mandy was a wonderful hostess and Umesh was a fantastic cook. We truly enjoyed our 4 nights there and it was very convenient to have the Poseidon divers next door. The ocean was simply fantastic and the beach lovely - unspoilt and not to affected by the litter endemic to the region. The rooms were comfortable, and clean. Mandy and Umesh are lovely, kind hosts. We truly enjoyed our 6 nights there. The ocean was addictive!! We caught little fish and starfish, and had a whale of a time! The rooms were comfortable, and clean. The staff were very obliging and helpful. The food was WONDERFUL! A lovely walk through a small jungle path takes you to the main road where there are small shops to buy biscuits and snacks :) Can't wait to go back!
