Went for a family birthday as a group of 8. Small but nice variety on the menu, medium price range. But big issue, they were not accommodating to my dietary requirements. I asked for an alternative to green vegetables which I can’t eat due to the vitamin k. the waitress had to go back to the chef 3 times as he kept saying he “couldn’t give” me other veg as an alternative, even though the veg were offered with many other meals on the menu. I ended up having an ok burger which I did not want, with no vegetables.

Went for lunch and was amazing food was delicious and service was impeccable. When we got there it was empty but by time we left was really busy but staff was polite and welcoming. We will be back to visit again for drinks and to try the new court yard menu xx

Very good lunch at The White Hart with friends. The staff were professional and friendly, frequently checking that everything was OK. Also arranging a ‘happy birthday plate’ for our friend. The food was well presented and very tasty. The pie of the day was cooked when ordered, which was a good sign. The interior is inviting, although it did get rather noisy a couple of times with 2 very large groups passing through the bar area - a local club and a funeral party. Would recommend and will visit again.

Beautiful setting, very friendly staff. Absolutely beautiful inside. We went for Sunday lunch, it was very busy and loud, could barely hear each other talk. Once the rush had gone it was lovely and quiet. Food was average, I’ve paid less for a carvery and had warmer food that had more taste, so the price for me was too high. This was for a beef Sunday roast, beef was pink but no taste, roast potatoes could have been aunt Bessie’s, Yorkshire puddings were amazing, veg dumped in a heap mixed together, no offerings of horseradish or other condiments other than salt and pepper. Dessert was lovely, no tuile as said with the pana cota which was disappointing. Child’s burger was dry and hard, not much choice for children on a Sunday lunch menu.

Fabulous lunch! Visited on a Wednesday lunchtime with a friend. We were expecting it to be quite quiet but it was busy with a lovely atmosphere. The building is beautiful and very tastefully decorated and furnished. Food was delicious and Wine was cold served in lovely glass (always important!). Service was also great 😊 Although it was March and rainy, we will definitely be returning in the nice weather as the outside area looks gorgeous!

Fantastic Mothers Day Lunch at The White Hart. It was busy but we still recieved lovely service and delicious food. My daughter enjoyed her food too and she's a fussy eater! Very sweet touch of a bunch of flowers from the manager at the end, made a mum very happy on a special day.

Fantastic Mother's Day meal. The pub was very busy but service with very friendly staff, was excellent and the meal was very good value. Well done all. The pub is lovely, wheelchair friendly and very clean. Highly recommended and can't wait to go again.

What a great find! Beautiful country pub/restaurant with rooms. Food was fabulous and staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend. Stayed in one of the upstairs rooms, very clean and provided all the usual amenities. There are some lovely outdoor cottages if you don’t like stairs and will try and book one of those next time, as will definitely return!

This was way beyond expectation. A beautiful village just 4 miles from Stamford, boasts this delightful inn. There is a small bar and tabled lounge area that combines pub with inn. Locals and hotel guests mingle in this comfortable space. The restaurant is spacious (booking is advised) and the menu offers some very interesting dishes. There are old pub favourites available too in the bar. The ox cheek and truffle risotto dishes were perfectly executed and full of flavour. A ham hock terrine as a starter was beautifully made. There is a good wine selection nd the bar provides a range of beers. The room was in the quarters the landlord used above the bar up a steep narrow staircase. Staff will help with cases. Low ceilings abound but the room itself was spacious, warm and comfortable with all the facilities you would expect. The four poster bed (without tester) was very comfortable despite being short. I wondered how old it was considering its length. Staff were superb in every respect. The breakfast was every bit as good as the rest of the inn. We will return. Highly recommended.
