Well above average. The service particularly was super. I am handicapped, so couldn't get up the stairs to the 1964 restaurant with its views of the lake - my wife did, and showed me a photo. As mentioned, it isn't ready for a handicapped person, but the staff went out of their way - way out of their way, in fact. The bed was extra-comfortable (better than our own). The food was pricey, but good. The downstairs restaurant was ok for me, but rather noisy. However, although it was a weekend, and a noisier crowd expected, we didn't hear a peep in our room. A/C worked well. I understand that the bulding was a bit of a dive before; today it is excellent - maybe not a 5-star place, but who would expect it to be. What it is, is very good, and the $7 milllion spent on it was well spent.
