Nice boutique hotel in quiet area. Good for a short stay but a little problematic without a car rental if you want to go to Amalfi.

Had such a great experience staying here. Angela was superb from our arrival right to our check out and the waiter Antonio could answer any questions on the menu in depth and also the wines with recommendations. Our room was very clean and well presented with a private pool on the terrace with a stunning view of the coast. We cannot recommend this place enough and will definitely be back

The staff here is absolutely incredible! Everyone has been so kind & helpful. We got here feeling sick & left feeling well. The staff working the last 2 days … Angela & the other 2 male manager & all other staff went above & beyond to help us. I hope they all get recognition. Our room was absolutely gorgeous with the private pool outside …. Very spacious & beautiful design. The view is also beautiful. This is a good resting place before going to Rome & fly home.

The hotel has large comfortable rooms and is small so the pool terrace feels quite exclusive with lovely views (it was never busy). Staff could be more attentive, getting a coffee with breakfast meant always flagging someone down despite having plenty of staff on who didn’t seem busy. The biggest issue is despite being in walking distance to Vietri, the road to reach the hotel is winding, fast moving and there’s no pavement/lots of rubbish and broken glass by the side of the road. As a result the shuttle service they offer is essential, but is poorly run - simply booking on at a set time seems to be a challenge for the staff and the bus is shared with another hotel. When we realised we couldn’t walk with bags from the train station on this road, the hotel were unhelpful and eventually sent a very overpriced taxi that we think was the hotel shuttle bus!

I found the staff arrogant. They seemed bothered by every request. They told us the pool was closed and when we checked, people were swimming in it. We asked for the quickest lunch because we had an appt. They said 10 min. But it was actually 30 min.

Firstly, I’m probably being slightly harsh with an average rating. However, there isn’t a good rating option and very good would be overstated based on our experience. There is lots to like about this hotel. The views are stunning and the amenities offered in our room were excellent - internal hot tub, his and hers vanity, a variety of external sunbathing options plus the jacuzzi on the balcony. The welcome was warm and the receptionist took time to escort us, and our luggage, to our room. Breakfast offered a good variety for a continental offer, with service also good. The location is on the edge of Vietri Sul Mare, with the only way of walking along a very busy road with no pavement. However, the hotel offered a shuttle service daily to enable you get in and out of the centre safely. Just watch out for how busy this can get as it’s shared with a sister hotel and despite booking in advance, we regularly had to wait for the next pick up. The reason for our overall rating relates to the room facilities, which haven’t been maintained like you would expect from a quality 5 star hotel. Even though we booked an Exclusive Suite, one of the highest tariff rooms, the walls were scuffed and scraped, we had light bulbs out, loose plug sockets, and stains on the internal sofa as well as on the external sun beds. The wooden planters and bed bases were also well beyond their best. The biggest issue, however, was the external jacuzzi where a large number of the mosaic tiles were loose and some chipped and broken, leaving a real risk to injuring your feet. I appreciate it’s the Amalfi coast and prices are at a premium, however we have twice stayed in 5 star hotels in Sorrento that were so much better overall value than the Relais. On check out we weren’t asked about our stay and even when I mentioned the issue with the tiles in the external jacuzzi, I wasn’t offered any apology or confidence the issue was taken seriously. Overall, it’s a lovely hotel with great views. However, I wouldn’t recommend visiting here until they complete some much needed basic room maintenance. A real shame they have failed to invest in what is a great asset.

On arrival our room wasn't ready, not an issue at all. Although I had said our arrival time before checking in, I had expected the cleaning team would have been told we had arrived and made an effort to clean our room first (there are only 12 rooms there). Seeing as nobody else was checking in. At the very least for 5* I would expect a member of staff to come and find us to say "your room is ready". The hotel is very small and smaller details are what creates the overall experience. We headed up to the pool to order lunch, no member of staff around. Funny they want €3 cover charge for bringing you food and I was the one that had to go and find a member of staff. We ordered a hamburger it was either that or a salad for lunch (the only 2 offerings on a menu) - again far from 5*. The hamburger was dry, mainly salad and bread with no sides, no condiments offered. The guy that works at the pool is also the waiter - other than put towels out first thing and serving breakfast he was never around. For 5* I do not want to be walking around the hotel trying to place an order from a very basic menu. Our room smelt very damp, the chlorine levels in the mini pool on our balcony pretty much destroyed my swimwear. The mosaic tiles in the splash pool were also coming off, easy to cut yourself on! I noticed there were some discarded cigarette butts shoved under the greenery next to the mini pool. Poor standards of cleaning. There was no price list or menu for the mini bar. I had to go to reception and ask what the items cost, easy to make the assumption the items are free if there is no menu. We didn't sleep all that well due to a lot of commotion in the hallway. At breakfast the eggs were unseasoned one day and undercooked / runny. The second day beige and dry. Milk for cereals were warm. We sat on the terrace on the second day and the automatic doors to reception just opened and closed the whole duration, they needed oiling.. Not relaxing. A lot of building work seemed to be going on under the hotel in one of the roads below. Mainly drilling from 10am - 2pm, then a break and it would start up again. Would be ideal to advise guests of this when booking. We had ordered the free shuttle bus to collect us on the first night and it arrived 45 mins late. The second night we pre booked a shuttle then to be called and told it wasn't available. We didn't bother booking one on the return. Shoddy service to say the least. We paid €800 euros for 2 nights bed & breakfast with a poor lunch and a few extras from the mini bar. I would not recommend this hotel based on everything above. I rarely pen a bad review but for the money this is far from luxury and a massive disappointment. This was our third hotel in a week on the Amalfi Coast and by far the most poor in terms of service and for what we paid for I am truly disappointed.

We booked here for our honeymoon. Before arrival I asked whether we could add any specials onto the booking due to it being a special occasion, they replied to say leave it with them and when we had arrived nothing had been done. Also upon looking for the hotel the booking.con directions took us to another hotel, when we arrived at that hotel we were greeted in the car park, our bags collected and taken to the reception, very professional. Then when we were told it was their other hotel so we went to look for it. The welcome at this hotel was awful compared to what we had just had, so it was a bit of a let down from the get go. Room was average, we paid nearly £3,000 for it as it had the terraced hot tub, this was a nice added extra, minus all the tiles falling off it every day. But the room was not worth the money, the blinds in the bathroom were very rusty and overall it was just average. The food is another story, it’s so overpriced for what it is, super disappointing and I would encourage everyone to eat elsewhere. When around the pool there’s drinks service, unfortunately even water you have to pay for. The breakfast wasn’t anything special and was the same thing every day. All inclusive buffets are better then what we received. It also stated on my booking through *********** that the minibar is included, I checked and re checked and no where did it state it was an additional charge. As there was no price list anywhere and it was a very basic minibar I thought it must be the case that it’s included. There was Fanta, sprite, coke and a beer, turns out the Fanta cost £5 each, the water was £3/4 and the beer £6, when I argued this upon leaving I was told there was a price list in the room and it was our fault for not checking but this was 100% not the case. Location was a bit rubbish too, if you didn’t have a car you’d have to walk a fair way along dangerous roads. Overall would not stay here again.

What can I say!! Wow! From the moment we arrived till the moment we left, was an outstanding experience! Felt love a VIP, the service was just amazing, all the staff were just brilliant! Lucas and the whole reception team were incredible, and really cared and did everything to help! Amazing welcome experience! The bedroom was beautiful, room was fully equipped, very fresh and clean. Lovely jacuzzi on the balcony!! The breakfast was lovely, lots of choice and the staff were again amazing. Lovey breakfast! I Didn’t eat at the hotel restaurant, as there were not many vegetarian options to choose from and the prices very very expensive. For 2 people a 3 course meal including wine would have cost over €130. We ate out 2 times at the Best pizza ever at Divine vietri. Value for money and most amazing pizzas. Hotel shuttle was great, taxis were expensive for the short trip. 10 or 15 euros per trip, they just charge what they want. It would have be great to have tea and coffee facilities in the bedroom, I would expect this for a 5 star hotel. However it was the best experience we had, would highly recommend and be treated like royalty. Thank you to the team!

Perfect hotel, I can not fault it. Pool terrace was always clean and quiet with clean towels put out for you every day, perfect to just relax and read a book. Rooms are lovely and cleaned everyday. The staff were lovely, especially Antonio who served dinner in the evenings. 100% recommend this hotel.

Cannot fault this place. Service is incredible from all the staff members. Brilliant shuttle service to the main square and the sister hotel. Good location to access supermarkets and ATM, restaurants and bars. Breakfast was nice and views from the hotel are amazing. The rooftop terrace and pool are brilliant and maintained well too. Our room had a jacuzzi pool on the terrace as well which was a nice touch to the stay. Would highly recommend this place and we would definitely visit again.
