It is a beautiful hotel. The outlets didn’t work. The lights were flickering. The staff wasn’t really friendly disappointing

The Line is my hotel of choice when in DC. It's unique, spacious, elegant and hails of a bygone era of hotel culture where other guests greet each other as neighbors, not strangers. I love it. Will say this time 3 times out of 4 the front desk wasn't as warm as they normally are. Except for check in, they all but ignored guests, which is odd for a hospitality business. Let's just hope that was a snag. Otherwise, lovely hotel, restaurant, coffee shop. (The 2 dinners I had there were delicious! Reco staying in & enjoying the beautiful lobby & divine food.)

This was the first time we stayed at this hotel. The room was not the typical hotel room which we found refreshing. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We were able to park our car at the hotel and they charged it for us overnight. They have a great gym. The only problem we had was with the shower door which allowed water to get all over the floor., which was a mild inconvenience. I reported this to the front desk as well as the cleaning person. It was not fixed while we were there, but the staff was very apologetic and explained why they could not fix it immediately. They offered us another room, but since we were only staying two nights it was not worth the hassle. All in all I would stay here again..

The hotel has great character (I believe it is an old converted church). The mix of old charm and updated amenities made my (business) stay enjoyable. Amazing water pressure! Tons of restaurants and coffee houses within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again!

Felt like an unmanaged hotel. Poor service. No friendliness. Fees for parking given the service provided (which was terrible) was insane. Had stayed a few times. Will not stay again.

I stay at the LINE LA almost every 6 weeks for the last 9 years and had never had a single complaint! The DC Line rooms are poorly kept up, receptionist are almost borderline rude, restaurant staff is mediocre and are not well versed in their jobs. Aziz

The large common area serves as coffeehouse, bar, and restaurant. People come and sit all day. It’s incredibly festive, like a town square.

One of the light bulbs in the room flickers (this has happened in other rooms during different stays). A knob is missing from a desk drawer so you can't open the drawer. Food from a previous guest was left by the front door for more than one day.

Beautiful historic property. The rooms that are updated while still keeping the character of the original building.

A very nice hotel with the character in a well-renovated older building. Spacious rooms and windows that open! Great cafe and bar. FYI: I will not give 5 stars to any hotel that charges a resort fee especially when it has no resort amenities.

We seem to be at this hotel for some holiday every year. Fabulous place. But would like cotton balls. Q Tips and better advance info @ gym. There was a mandatory facility fee but no one could tell us if the spin bike was clip in or just sneakers. So we had the wrong shoes

The good: Great bathroom, large room, beautiful furniture and hardwood floors in the room. Perfect location. The bad: Be aware there is a $150 a night resort fee. This almost doubled the price of my stay and I didn’t find out about it until I showed up to check in. That’s definitely the most exorbitant incidentals fee I’ve ever seen. My room had privacy film on every single window because the windows faced another building. The type that lets light in but blurs everything so much you can’t see out. It felt like I was trapped underground, pretty awful. I would much rather a view directly into another building than have every window covered up.

Beautiful property. The room was immaculate with sweeping views of the city. Coffee, room service, the staff—everything was top-notch. Will be back for sure.

We love the location, near our family & convenient. We stayed here before & like the space. Our major complaint was place is dark, therefore hard to work in the lobby & to press the correct buttons in the elevator!

It was a horrible stay. There was so much noise coming from the outside and when I complained I was told there’s nothing they can do about the bars in adams Morgan. Atleast warn people if they are being assigned a room that will be so noisy that they will not be able to sleep all night. The noise did not stop until about 3 am and then loud construction noises began a couple hours later. There was no sound proofing on the windows. The room temperature would not budge even when I changed it, it was so warm but you couldn’t open a window because of the noise. Horrible experience.
