Canopy by Hilton Washington DC the Wharf Reviews

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Canopy in February. The employees were very friendly and went above and beyond excellent service. One of the front desk clerks went out of her way to help us when we got turned around because of some construction work. She actually stood outside to look out for us. We highly recommend staying at The Canopy! It was very clean and met our needs perfectly! Great location and we enjoyed being on the water. There is a shuttle stop just up from the hotel which made it easy to get around. We enjoyed walking around DC! We LOVED our stay!! Thank you to Patrick and the wonderful front desk folks as well as the friendly housekeepers! We’ll be back!! 🥰

The hotel is located by the river, the scenery is very beautiful, double-sided floor-to-ceiling windows, and the breakfast is also very good. Although expensive, it still feels worth the money. The view from the room window. The transportation is also convenient, and you can rent bicycles when you go out.

Good location next to the pier

No bellman or other person to help with luggage. The Hotel's parking valet service is connected to a parking conglomerate that charges too much and increases their prices at a whim.

The front desk charged my credit card before I checked out, I wanted to pay half cash and charge the remainder, which I advised them upon check in, they could not undo the whole amount on my credit card. They said the credit card would not be charged it was just be on hold.

The view of the studio suite was beautiful! 😍 The valet parking is expensive ($65 a day) and they don’t offer to help you with your bags or luggage 😅 be careful with the front lady at the bakery, she’s rude and doesn’t help much when it comes to finding that you want to order 😂 but everything was nice, like the view. I give this place an 7/10.

Convenient location at The Wharf. We stayed on the 9th floor with a partial view of the waterfront. The room was spacious and comfortable for our week-long stay. The shower had a nice rainfall and handheld heads. In-room toiletries included body wash, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and hand wash. Having a mini fridge was a plus. The king sized bed was comfortable with plush pillows. The duvet could have been thicker/heavier but the room temp was easy to adjust for cooler nights. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. During daily complimentary happy hours, they served wine/cocktails. The main dining option served a nice variety of light bites and drinks. The bartenders at Whiskey Charley make great cocktails and offered local sight seeing recommendations. Overall, our stay was wonderful!

The location is amazing. The staff were incredibly friendly. I didn’t feel out of place for staying here with small children and there were so many places to walk to.

Great weekend stay at the wharf in DC. The staff members were very friendly and accommodating. The only downside was the small lounge chair in the living room could only fit one person and no doors separating the living room space and bedroom. Would definitely stay again at the Canopy!

Valet or garage parking is very steep but may be typical for DC. Staff was great - polite, friendly and helpful. Very quick room service

Really nice property with lots to do around. Gym needs a bit of a tune up but you can still get a good work out in.

The wharf is a great location for being away from the normal D.C. shuffle. The room had a few problems, such as a broken nespresso machine (they replaced it), bad USB port, burned out lights, and reverse labeling between Hot and Cold in the shower (really). Then, they were working on the elevators between 7am and 3pm and we couldn't get up to our room without climbing the stairs (to the 7th floor)! But overall the staff was friendly and we enjoyed our stay.

The hotel was comfortable. The service was great. Lots of restaurants within easy walking distance. Quick Uber ride to Capitol and Whitehouse.

We really liked the view from our room. We did not like the stains on the furniture in our room. We were surprised there was no room service and when we tried to get brunch in the restaurant we were "in between" service times at 10 am. There should be some type of option to get food at 10 am. Great place but not really focused on what the guests need.
