The environment is great, though the facilities are a bit dated. The small kitchenette was very convenient. It was easy to get a taxi from the hotel, and overall, I had a good experience. I stayed for three days, but hotels in the US are quite expensive.

I really like to stay in this area when I travel to DC for business, and this time I decided to return to the River Inn where I had stayed before. Location is unbeatable, one of the best areas in town. Staff is helpful and always smiling, very friendly. Something that imho could be improved are the room bathrooms - mine had a low bathtub shower design that is slippery when showering and not comfortable at all - old style knobs to operate the water, difficult to mix, you will have move around on the slippery surface etc. If the bathrooms could be renovated the overall quality and value for money of this hotel would go up several notches.

It serves its purpose, a hotel used exclusively for sleeping, with little else to offer.

The surrounding environment is elegant, and there is a supermarket 300 meters away Facilities: Overall good, the bathroom shower is a bit difficult to adjust Service: Very good, the front desk guy is very enthusiastic and the introduction is very detailed Hygiene: Not very ideal. The next morning, there was a big cockroach lying on the bathroom floor. It might be because the house is old and has a kitchen.
