We embarked on a journey to Vythiri Village Resort, a property of Club Mahindra, generously sponsored by a friend who is a club member. Our route from Aluva took us through scenic, winding roads, passing through bustling towns like Thrissur, Perintal***na, and ***jeri. Google served as our trusty guide, leading us ***** the shortest and least congested path. Despite being labeled as a State Highway, the roads felt more like narrow country lanes. Our quest for a decent breakfast spot ***** the way proved challenging, with the towns just beginning to stir even at 9:00 AM. Finally, in Perital***na at 9:30 AM, we stumbled upon a vegetarian (Udupi) restaurant, our only option at the time. Although the food was standard fare, it failed to match the quality we've experienced at other Udupi restaurants. As we journeyed onwards, we were struck by the scarcity of roadside eateries typical of highways. We navigated our way through Mukkom and the 'Thazhvaram' before ascending through the Thamaressery Churam, where the scenery was awe-inspiring but the roads too narrow for overtaking slow-moving traffic. Upon reaching the plateau in Wayanad where Vythiri is nestled, we were greeted by the impressive, wooded expanse of the resort. While the reception and accommodations provided by Club Mahindra were satisfactory, other facilities within the Vythiri Village Resort seemed neglected and unoccupied. Our first meal at the resort's restaurant left much to be desired, with overpriced dishes that failed to impress. Undeterred, we explored the resort's 47-acre campus, indulging in activities like a short zipline ride and taking a dip in one of the two swimming pools. The following day, we embarked on an early morning ride through the forest to the Kerala border and beyond to Gundalpet. Although we didn't encounter any elephants or bisons, sightings of deer and a peacock added to the charm of the journey. Breakfast at a restaurant near the border was underwhelming, prompting us to forgo a second helping. Our return journey, marred by increasing traffic, felt long and tiresome. Disappointed by the lack of dining options in Vythiri, we decided to check out early the next day, opting for a longer route via Mepaddy, Gudalur, and Ooty. The scenic climb to Ooty was marred by potholed roads, but we found respite in a satisfying breakfast at Paradise vegetarian restaurant. The search for decent eateries continued in Ooty, highlighting the scarcity of dining options ***** hillside roads. Our drive through Coonoor was hindered by bad roads, with smooth sailing only after reaching Mettupalayam. Finally, after a long journey, we arrived back at our starting point in Aluva at 5:00 PM. Throughout our trip, the lack of quality restrooms and dining options, especially ***** hillside routes, was a recurring challenge. While the journey offered glimpses of breathtaking scenery, the overall experience left us unenthused about returning to these locales.

Visited the resort as a group of 30 people. The resort was luxurious. The staff were very courteous and made us feel very welcome and made us feel like royalty. The biggest USP according to me was the artificial water fall. It was beautiful. The resort's exquisite dining options surpassed our expectations, offering a diverse range of culinary delights that catered to every palate. The attention to detail throughout the property was truly impressive, and the well-maintained grounds and facilities added to the overall charm. Whether it was lounging by the pool, enjoying a spa treatment, or exploring the nearby attractions, there was always something enjoyable to do. The resort's commitment to guest satisfaction was evident in every aspect of our stay, and we left feeling rejuvenated and completely satisfied. We can't wait to return to this exceptional resort for another unforgettable getaway. If you're looking for a destination that offers luxury, relaxation, and impeccable service, we highly recommend choosing this resort for your next vacation.

Visiting to Vythiri was on my wish list for quite some time now. I had to cancel my trip twice earlier after making reservations, first due to Nympha and then due to the Kerala floods. Finally in May 2023, because I couldn’t plan any other holidays and bookings were available via Club Mahindra (I am a member), I didn’t think twice to plan for it. I had high expectations from the resort since it was showcased as a luxury resort with beautiful pictures of its hanging bridge, infinity pool, gifted with bountiful forest cover with a view of a mountain peak amongst so ***y other things. I was waiting to be pampered. Let’s see how it was: 1. Checking in (****)- The resort has roped in few highly energetic folks who do a great job and are actually looking forward for doing it, so full marks to them here. But then comes the Club Mahindra executive with a smile that makes you feel that he’s doing a favour by showing up, I think Club Mahindra has got its task cut out in the associate properties where they try to have a ***ager who does nothing more than saying a “Namaste”. This person brought an otherwise 100% experience to almost sub-optimal levels. Please listen @clubmahindra. 2. Rooms (**) - I was given a Delux room which had a twin bed arrangement, I was not asked for any preference it was just given like that. I was travelling with my wife and 7 yr old, so there was no way we could comfortably sleep in those beds. It felt like being in a dorm or some 3* business hotel. So much for being in a luxury resort. 3. Resort facilities (***) - I would have given it a 4* if they would not call themselves a 5* resort. The infinity pool, even though not a large one but is a good enough sized pool. Kids can have a good time. It has a rich flora, I enjoyed my walk amongst the chirping of birds. Spa is okay. 4. Food (**) - Again a clear case of over commit and under delivery. Once I’m in a resort I prefer to have food inside because I believe that the quality and hygiene are not compromised. So I’m okay with not great tasting food, for this we do a dinner once during the trip in one of the top restaurants as per recommendation. Saying the breakfast service to be below par is actually putting it mildly, I stayed here 4 nights (1 night extension) and got the same menu served every single day, well this has started in the bigger chains like Taj or Marriot as well but at least you have a choice. Unfortunately we don’t prefer a lot of South Indian food, unfortunately there was no option. They don’t have a live section for eggs, which is a life saviour on most times. Same goes for the Dinner and Lunch. I have to say don’t play to have any meals here, a la carte we didn’t try probably should have . 5 . Front desk (*) - Well they appear to be pretty experienced but IMHO what’s hampering the service is a big ego. I had to extend my stay for a day, called the front desk was assured of a call back never happened. Went in person was assured by a Senior sales ***ager it would

I went with my family for summer holidays in June 2023. One of my friends recommended this resort to stay so we booked the same although it was on a higher pricing side. First of all, I would like to start with positives of the property. The resort is located in the middle of Wayanad so going to other tourist spots is easy from here. The rooms are spacious with 2 swimming pools (one of them is almost an infinity pool), kids play area, badminton ground, archery ring, bicycles to roam around the property, nature walk etc. as the property is huge in area. However, the ***agement was very bad at the time of meal timings (breakfast and dinner). Since it was summer holiday, lot of people were staying there and the resort staff planned the breakfast for almost 200 people at one place where people were not getting the food on time, the wait time for all the food items is so long that we had to leave the breakfast in the middle. Same day, 3 buses full of tourists as one group came to their resort in the afternoon and the hotel ***agement planned their dinner ***** with other people who are staying in their resort too. There was a chaos at the restaurant as people were not getting tables and waiting for almost 20-30 mins. Overall, the experience was not so good considering the charges I paid versus the services I got. The property is great to stay but the resort ***agement is not able to plan things efficiently.

We being club mahindra members had booked hotel unit room which was not luxurious but decent enough for few days stay and bathroom was also good with all the fittings, our check in was smooth and were guided to our room by Ms Lubna with smile and all the room fittings explained, the rooms do not have balcony and are far from the main building so always need vehicle for transfer, the cars needs to be replaced as they are in bad condition, but the drivers are good and the security staff were also good and attentive, Mr Shyam has been appointed to look after the club mahindra guests, he is good and always happy to help, for breakfast, restaurant is on 3rd floor of building having club mahindra accommodation rooms, and the rest for lunch and dinner restaurant is at the main building, the food taste was good and captain Mr Jerin and his staff team Dolma, Joyrani, Jenifer and others were also good and Ms Avantika at the front desk was very sweet and always smiling, this resort is approx 300 mtrs walk able from resort to the main road where you can shop and dine at restaurants if you feel interested, we had booked cab from their travel desk with no extra charges, being monsoon season the resort had very less occupancy, the upkeep of the resort in monsoon is always challenging hence need to make some adjustments to enjoy the nature at its best.

Club Mahindra should be ashamed of taking this resort as an associate property. The Property has pathetic rooms which are given to CM guests, the room is charged as studio but is actually a Hotel Unit. The staff clothes stink of there sweat, the guts will spit in front of you all the time, the transfer cabs from Reception to Room are third class M***ti Vans with arrogant drivers. The front desk staff is not at all welcoming , they lie a lot and push you to pay a premium to upgrade from the existing room. There is NO activity for the kids to be engaged except a zip line which is in shambles and very risky to use, they have very limited safety features, more like a Jugaad kind of a thing. The food quality is utmost poor, you are served soups in plastic bowls with a cutlery that Dhaba walas use (rather even Dhaba walas will be using better than Vythri village). Half of the property is empty only the block given to CM seems to have occupancy rest no major footfall. The waitor’s are shabbily dressed with black pants and white shirts and they stink as if wearing same old clothes for days, no one has bothered to carry out their training and general hygiene. The food quality is so poor that they serve you cold food in buffet, because they have those old steel made hot food containers which are trying their best capacity to keep the food hot with a small candle burning beneath them, no electric warmers for the food to actually be kept warm. Overall an extremely low performing resort just wanted to breathe and hence tied up with Club Mahindra. I should urge the staff of Vythri village to visit club Mahindra Pondicherry, Club Mahindra Derby green ooty, club Mahindra Ashtamudi Kerela, Club Mahindra Lonavala, Club Mahindra Virajpet, club Mahindra Mahabaleshwar , Club Mahindra Madikeri, Club Mahindra Assonora Goa and understand what Club Mahindra is all about and how they operate….and then upgrade their vythri village resort to that level (which will take them years) And a note for Club Mahindra leadership - Shame of you guys, just for adding numbers to your existing resorts you have added such a poor quality resort to your chain as an associate resort. Your quality assurance team and Marketing team should be taken for task for approving this resort as an associate resort!! Lastly, my request to genuine club Mahindra members who are looking for a good holiday at Waynad please please please don’t go here

We had booked the Celebrity pool ville for our stay @Vythiri Village resort and were quite happy the way reception welcomed us. Things went south pretty fast after this. For this to be a 5 star property, the rooms are ancient and the pool happens to be in an enclosed space with cold water, seepage from the floor above ours. The bathrooms are small, claustrophobic and with poor fittings. The feather on the crown was their extremely poor food quality with stale oil but with exorbitant pricing. For paying about 18000 per night for the room and with just breakfast, its frankly waste of money.
