MainStay Suites - Wichita NE

I’ve been staying here for about a month everything about the personnel and property is top notch or I wouldn’t continue to stay here. I don’t like how much the rates have increased since I first came here and I will have to find other accommodations due that fact. I simply can’t afford to stay here much longer. But I do understand due to the economic climate that the war is causing the upward prices everywhere.

The only complaint I had was the exercise room smells . Due the carpet needs shampooing, it has stains wall to wall.

When we checked in they didn’t have all 3 nights we booked available but eventually they figured it out and got us a room. The hotel clerk was very nice and helpful. The hotel had no ambience or character at all and is very sparse and minimal. And old and rundown. The hallways and carpet were gross and depressing and when we got to our room the keys didn’t work. When we walked in, the room had a horrible smell. Like cleaning products over stale smoke. We left immediately. Would never stay there.

The staff for the most part are professional , polite and nice and helpful. My dishwasher hasn’t worked since I’ve been here. I’ve had different front desk people tell me a work order has been put in . I’ve been here almost a month and it still doesn’t work. I have respiratory issues and I sleep with the help of a CPAP Machine. All manner of smoke comes through vents and through the air conditioning unit when off. And the hallway as well reeks of legal and illegal smoke fumes.

My dishwasher doesn’t work, and there is a leak in my bathroom . There is a work order for both that has yet to be addressed.

An older hotel. No real complaints other than the carpets in the hallways looked worn and dirty. The room was clean but had no coffee pot and only a single spoon. All in all good price and stay.

The only problem I’ve had is the dishwasher doesn’t work and my recliner is broken . Meaning it doesn’t come out of the reclining position. Which a nuisance. Because I’ve hit my legs more than once getting up in the middle of the night to use the restroom. I reported it and maintenance came but couldn’t fix it. Is there away I could get another chair? Also could maintenance check my dishwasher or replace it. And yes I’ve reported both problems.

The coffee package was used and gross. The lamp by the lounger did not have a light bulb. The bathtub/shower could not dispense hot water when turned full blast, only lukewarm. On the bright side the bed was wonderful, best pillow in a hotel ever!

The rooms were dirty, still pee on the toilet, food on the dishes and the room smelled like complete smoke. I asked upon request if they could fix my bed take my trash out and bring fresh towels while I was out with family for 2 days. Everytime I came back the room was untouched. I ended up getting really sick and found out that the AC UNIT held under the window contained HUUUUUUGE amount of black mold. When I told the staff they were very rude all the way through with everything I requested. I don’t expect special treatment or pamper my ass. But if I’m getting sick due to the negligence of this room. I don’t even expect compassion just do your job.
