Hotel Continental Reviews

I originally booked a Double Room 1 Queen bed in Hotel continental (three-star hotel), but when I arrived at the hotel, I was assigned a room next door called Alphabel (two-star hotel), which was completely wrong. The employee claimed that Hotel Continental purchased Alphahubel. Since the room I reserved was no longer available, they arranged a room in Alphabel. Alphubel There are many stairs at the main entrance. There are no employees inside, the front desk is useless, and there is no restaurant open. The elevator is super old, the corridor lights are dim, the rooms are very old, 30 to 40 years old and have not been renovated. The most unacceptable thing is that the door lock is broken and cannot be locked at all.  As a result, I returned to Hotel Continental and argued with him, asking to cancel the reservation, get a refund, and temporarily book another hotel, which would cost more money and waste time. This arrangement is completely unacceptable. 

I lost a jacket here. I called it using Ctrip’s online phone number and got a quick response from the front desk. I found it and asked a friend to pick it up. The service was good and the price was right.

Simple, clean and perfect. A great place to stay in Zermatt. The staff were lovely and helpful, great choice for breakfast and altogether a great place to stay in Zermatt.

One of cozy place to stay, good hospitality and also near station

The front desk service is very good. It is right in the town. I took the train at 07:36 in the morning and left the hotel at 07:15. But the house was shaking a little. I thought it was an earthquake, but it turned out to be people walking downstairs or upstairs. startled

Convenient near by restaurant , shopping area, clean. But the room litter small. Can’t fixed my big Luaggue 😅 My room can saw the beautiful landscape

The Hotel Continental is not the newest building but it has wonderful staff who made our stay delightful. We only wish that we could have had a longer stay!!

Rapport qualité prix imbattable Zermatt

Specifically requested for a room with balcony view of the mountains but was given a room where I can see someone else’s balcony. The room was so dim could barely see anything. There was no one at reception so had to call and ask for a change of room, the staff came by an hour later. The staff gave a better room, I must say the staffs are very hospitable. As for the room and the property, I paid 300 SGD/night for that room which was totally not worth it at all, the bed and mattress provided was that of the dormitory or helper’s room with metal frames where you can feel your back and the thin mattress sinking to the metal frame. The floor creaks, the ceiling has paint cracks, overall the property is very worn out, and totally different indication from the photos which mislead me into booking. It really needs to be furnished and revamped. Definitely not worth the expensive rate paid for that kind of room.

Good hotel. Great breakfast. Close to train station (major plus). Room was fine.
