"A comfortable one night stay in May. Although the hotel restaurant was closed, we were allowed to eat our food at the restaurant and use their plates and cutleries. Free coffee and tea all day. We stay on the first floor and it was quiet and pleasant. There is a lift for guests who stay upstairs. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They served simple breakfast but we gave it a miss. Lots of free parking outside the hotel. A short drive to Geysir and Gullfoss. Would stay here again for sure."

"The hotel is right next to the geyser, making it very convenient to get there. It's clean, but the heating needs to be on for a while to be effective. The hotel's laundry service needs to be booked before 5 PM. We arrived late and couldn't do laundry. The hotel offers an aurora wake-up call service. However, breakfast and dinner were rather average; perhaps we weren't used to the Western food."

"💯💯💯 recommend Lindartun Guesthouse! Stayed here for 1 night on 1st October 2024 after our drive to Highlands and got here when it was already dark but i loved the drive to the junction from the main road to the guesthouse. It was pretty dark around the area which we thought we could be lucky for aurora sightings but it was cloudy. Luckily, I asked the owner when was the last aurora sighting at the guesthouse and she immediately opened her laptop and that’s when I found put there’s aurora forecast website in Iceland. She was the one that let us know there’s higher chance to spot aurora on the upcoming friday due to clear sky. Oh btw, for our check-in process, when I first arrived and entered the guesthouse, please take off your shoes by the entrance, and go to reception area infront of the kitchen and take the house phone to call the owner. We booked room no. 5 which cones with a sofa bed and the long toom was so cute and cozy. This is the cutest guesthouse room design among all 13 accoms across the country during our trip. I really loved it a lot as the room was long and spacious. The common dining area was really nice and big which I didn’t really spend time here. But I used the kitchen the next morning to boil hot water and make myself my hot chocolate and instant mushroom soup. Worth my money. Will book again if I visit Iceland again next time! How I’d described it: Lindartun (Cute Cozy Homey Vibe) Room Type: 1 Queen Bed + 1 Sofa Bed Toilet: Private Bathroom (clean and big) Perks: Nice kitchen and dining area Thank you for helping me out with my aurora hunting and for maintaining a really cute and nice guesthouse, owner!"

"We appreciated the one-mattress queen-size bed, something we found to be a rarity in our Iceland trip (the norm seemed to be two twin-beds slammed together, which just isn't the same thing. The staff was helpful and the facilities clean and well-maintained. The only negative was the fact that the hotel charged a separate fee to use the hot tub."

Because I made an appointment to see the ice cave the next day, I found that it was only 46 kilometers away from the meeting point. Although I had to go back, the price was the most cost-effective, so I booked it. We didn’t arrive at Glacier Lagoon until 10 o’clock in the evening. After taking pictures, we arrived at the hotel at 11:30. I discovered that there is a large glacier behind the hotel. You can completely see it from the window of the room. When you were lying on the bed, you also found that there was a skylight on the roof. You could see it while lying on the bed. See the stars and auroras! The space is indeed a bit small (a common phenomenon in Icelandic hotels!), but despite its small size, it was fully equipped and we made dinner in the room. There is floor heating in the bathroom, which is very nice👍

We stayed at a hotel right next to Skógafoss, and you can drive directly into the Skógafoss parking lot, which makes access extremely convenient. We had two rooms with views of the mountains and the waterfall, which was truly special. The rooms were a little on the smaller side, but they were very clean and the beds were comfortable. A useful note: the cold water in the room is safe for drinking, while the hot water comes from natural hot springs (which may have a slight sulfur smell, as is common in Iceland). Breakfast had a smaller selection, but the taste and quality were good. I would also recommend trying the hotel restaurant at least once during your stay—the food was quite enjoyable. We were fortunate to catch the northern lights on both nights. On the first night, there was a strong, dancing aurora (around KP 6–7 / G3 storm) right outside the hotel in the parking area. On the second night (around KP 3), I woke up in the middle of the night and was still able to capture it on my phone despite some light pollution from the hotel. One small thing to note is that the main entrance doors close after 11 PM, so we had to use the side entrance when returning late at night.

This hotel is located right in Vik, directly across from a supermarket and a large Icewear store – even bigger than the one in Reykjavik, making it great for browsing. It's within walking distance of Vik Church, and the hotel offers an aurora wake-up service. The hotel itself is relatively new, with large floor-to-ceiling windows in both the rooms and the restaurant, offering excellent views. However, the breakfast is just average. Ground floor rooms have direct access to the outside via their large windows. The room's environment and cleanliness are both good.

We had a wonderful stay at Black Beach Suites—my family absolutely loved it. The rooms are beautifully designed, with a darker interior that likely helps reduce light pollution for aurora viewing. We were fortunate enough to see the northern lights twice—once right after checking in near the reception area, and again in the middle of the night. In addition, the views of the Reynisfjara black sand beach just behind the hotel are absolutely stunning and add so much to the overall experience. We were only able to book one night as the rest of the dates were fully taken, which honestly says a lot about how popular this place is. The staff were friendly and helpful, even while busy managing the bar. I asked one of the staff members about weather and driving conditions for the rest of our trip around Iceland, and she went out of her way to provide useful information. The only downside was the sofa bed, which had a noticeable large dip in the middle and was quite uncomfortable compared to the main beds. It may benefit from an upgrade or an alternative setup.

We have a 1 night stay at Midgard Camp during our 9 days road trip in Iceland. It is our 2nd stop hotel of our trip. Though the room are not big, but it is comfortable, good and cosy enough for all. The family rooms comes with 1 double bed plus 1 bunk bed enough for all 4 of us. The whole place is very vibrant, friendly staff, nicely decorated and energetic yet peaceful and quiet for individual enjoyment. The whole place is very well maintained and It is very clean even the common toilet as I bathe there to avoid waiting for our private toilet to save some time. The common kitchen is for all guests and is well equipped. We cooked our hot meal as well as breakfast there. We can also enjoy the complementary coffee/tea from the hotel paid breakfast. Overall, We enjoy our stay there even though it is just 1 night. The location is easily found with the GPS, you wouldn't miss it. Highly recommended this place. Also, really appreciate the friendly staff giving us a round tour of the place explaining where are the common toilet, hot bathe tub, dryer for our swim wear should we use the hot bathe tub and sauna. This is indeed exceed our expectation actually. 10/10!

The view is excellent, at the foot of a mountain, it should be a cabin to see the aurora, but unfortunately we did not see the aurora in summer. The location is not far from Scoga Falls, Seriyaran Falls and Vic Black Beach, these three attractions can choose from here. The house facilities are very new, the heating is turned on in advance, the Icelanders really don't know how to advertise, and the good house is like a rough house. The housekeeper's English is not good, but the communication is still clear. Other comments are helpful, you can call the password until they answer the phone, if you can't, you can also take a chance on the spot, and you will see the women who clean up the house working nearby.

This Hotel provided us with a fantastic stay. It is clean, the staff are very attentive but not overbearing. Our room was very clean, but there were a couple of small drawbacks. There was a small desk, but no wardrobe for clothes. It would have served better to do away with the desk and provide somewhere to unpack our cases and hang clothes. My wife and I lived out of our suitcases for the duration. Also, there didn't seem to be any ground-floor rooms and there was not a lift. So, I think this would be unsuitable for guests in wheelchairs or severe difficulties with stairs (it would be wise to contact the Hotel directly to confirm this if you are in this position). The food was excellent and quite well priced for Iceland ( food and drink in Iceland is NOT cheap ). Overall, we both enjoyed our stay very much and would gladly book again. Hotel, staff and food were all 100%.

The accommodation was fine. The accommodation was spacious, especially the bathroom, which had a countertop, which was useful for spreading all my cosmetics out! The place itself isn't a tourist destination, but it was very handy. There was supermarket nearby and petrol station and not far from the main road. Handy for the Flo nature reserve if you're into birdwatching. The coastline there is impressive. Big waves Or handy if you want to visit Reykjavik, which we did for the evening. (45 minute drive?). I didn't score so highly on service because there isn't any service as such. There were also no additional facilities other than the room and ensuite, which was fine. Parking is out the front and was plentiful. We stayed in mid-May and it was fortunately very quiet. We did arrive early, and were pleased to be allowed in to our rooms, so really appreciated that. Thanks!
