"A comfortable one night stay in May. Although the hotel restaurant was closed, we were allowed to eat our food at the restaurant and use their plates and cutleries. Free coffee and tea all day. We stay on the first floor and it was quiet and pleasant. There is a lift for guests who stay upstairs. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They served simple breakfast but we gave it a miss. Lots of free parking outside the hotel. A short drive to Geysir and Gullfoss. Would stay here again for sure."

"The hotel is right next to the geyser, making it very convenient to get there. It's clean, but the heating needs to be on for a while to be effective. The hotel's laundry service needs to be booked before 5 PM. We arrived late and couldn't do laundry. The hotel offers an aurora wake-up call service. However, breakfast and dinner were rather average; perhaps we weren't used to the Western food."

"Free parking is available in front of the hotel. The overall space is super large, with two rooms. The only thing to note is that the power trips when using the oven. I hope this can be adjusted in the future to provide a better stay experience for other guests! The kitchenware and dishes are more than sufficient."

"💯💯💯 recommend Lindartun Guesthouse! Stayed here for 1 night on 1st October 2024 after our drive to Highlands and got here when it was already dark but i loved the drive to the junction from the main road to the guesthouse. It was pretty dark around the area which we thought we could be lucky for aurora sightings but it was cloudy. Luckily, I asked the owner when was the last aurora sighting at the guesthouse and she immediately opened her laptop and that’s when I found put there’s aurora forecast website in Iceland. She was the one that let us know there’s higher chance to spot aurora on the upcoming friday due to clear sky. Oh btw, for our check-in process, when I first arrived and entered the guesthouse, please take off your shoes by the entrance, and go to reception area infront of the kitchen and take the house phone to call the owner. We booked room no. 5 which cones with a sofa bed and the long toom was so cute and cozy. This is the cutest guesthouse room design among all 13 accoms across the country during our trip. I really loved it a lot as the room was long and spacious. The common dining area was really nice and big which I didn’t really spend time here. But I used the kitchen the next morning to boil hot water and make myself my hot chocolate and instant mushroom soup. Worth my money. Will book again if I visit Iceland again next time! "Hótel Grímsborgir is absolutely fantastic! The location is super convenient, right next to the Golden Circle, making it easy to drive to all the attractions. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and each one has its own private hot tub or a shared one. Soaking in the hot tub and stargazing at night is incredibly therapeutic~ The breakfast spread is varied and fresh, and the staff are all very enthusiastic. I definitely want to stay here again on my next trip to Iceland! Highly recommended for self-driving travelers looking to relax!"

"This is our first night in Iceland, after going to the Blue Lake Hot Spring, we walked in the capital for a while. Since the traffic jam came at 8:30 in the evening, although we booked dinner at 7:30, the hotel is very good! Let us eat after 1 hour late. The hotel's  meal is good and delicious! The room is not bad, if you see the aurora at night, you can go directly out of the room."

"We appreciated the one-mattress queen-size bed, something we found to be a rarity in our Iceland trip (the norm seemed to be two twin-beds slammed together, which just isn't the same thing. The staff was helpful and the facilities clean and well-maintained. The only negative was the fact that the hotel charged a separate fee to use the hot tub."

"Booking a place in Iceland during summer is tough, so this was my only option for this stop. Facilities: Quite comprehensive for a hostel. Hygiene: Clean and tidy. Environment: The scenery along the way was truly beautiful. Service: Acceptable, standard for a hostel."

"Overall stay was ok, the service was not bad as we had issues with the aircon and the staff tried to help but at the end could not solve it. He gave us another room but the issue persists. It was really hot the whole night but the room and toilet was clean. The room is not that big but just good for one night stay, super near Gare du Nord."

"Just a five-minute drive from Black Sand Beach, the hotel offers a large, well-equipped kitchen with plenty of dishes and utensils for guests to use. The environment is really nice, and the heating in the hotel is excellent. I really enjoyed it."
