"I was informed that my booking was not paid when I have actually paid in advance through trip.com. The receptionist at that time was not very fluent in english so I had problems communicating. Thankfully they let me check in for the night but they said that I might need to pay during checkout tomorrow. I was very grateful that my sister was able to connect to the Trip.com customer service at Singapore and was able to resolve this issue. The other receptionist that I met during checkout was more fluent in English and was very helpful with helping us with the issue. I managed to resolve this and was able to enjoy my breakfast with ease"

When taking a shower, water is everywhere."

"Amazing hotel, with amazing staff. You’ll get treated as if you are in a 5 star hotel. They have all sorts of services and amenities, including laundry and spa. But since you’re in turkey, I recommend you go to the Sultan Hamami Turkish Bath just across the road, for more excellent customer experience."

"First of all, there is no private parking garage. Parking is on the street in front and across from the hotel. Breakfast was very basic and they were short staffed. Room was good size, comfortable bed. Missing the sofa/chair. Missing iron and the ironing board. I had to request them which they brought to me but the iron was half broken. There were 2 small bottles of shampoo، 2 small bottles of conditioner and 2 small bottles of body wash and one very small bar of soap. There was a hair dryer, teapot, slippers and 2 free water bottles. The room was a non smoking room, but in the middle of the night I could smell heavy cigarette smoke."

"Our stay was delightful. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with all standard amenities, although it did lack an iron and ironing board (a minor thing).. The hotel's aesthetics - traditional Turkish wooden architecture with intricate carvings and warm tones - created a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were professional and accommodating, ensuring a smooth check-in process. A special mention to Abdullah, the restaurant manager, who tailored our breakfast to our preferences, making it a delightful start to our day. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would gladly return."

I booked the single room on the ground floor. Very spacious with a queen size bed. But at night the loud music from the club nearby can be heard. Other than that, location is excellent with loads of dining options and walkable to the shopping area. Also walkable to the largest mosque in Ankara. The breakfast spread is very delicious. The hotel manager, Sezgin, is very obliging and responsive. Nilufar at the reception is very helpful with information. I would stay here again if i return to Ankara.

Ayrıca oda servisinden söylediğiniz bir soda yı bile oda hesabına yaşamayız, peşin almamız gerekiyor diyerek misafiri rencide edici davranışları var. We stayed at Shelter Inn for one night. The location is convenient, with plenty of restaurants and cafés within walking distance. The receptionist was very friendly despite our late check-in, and the breakfast was good with a nice view. Unfortunately, the room was outdated and in poor condition. It was extremely noisy at night, there was water dripping from the bathroom ceiling, the toilet wasn’t clean when we arrived, and we found hair in the bedsheets. Overall, while the staff and location were good, the cleanliness and condition of the room were disappointing. We wouldn’t stay here again.

The service was excellent. Even though it's in a new district, getting around by taxi wasn't too bad; it took about 20 minutes to reach Ankara Castle and Anitkabir. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable; I slept wonderfully for three consecutive nights. The staff were genuinely warm and helpful, offering to carry luggage and proactively asking if I needed anything, and even brought some small treats. The facilities were very well-equipped, and the price was even a bit cheaper than what you'd find domestically, making it excellent value for money. If I ever come back to Ankara, I wouldn't hesitate to choose JW Marriott again.

This is an old place that used to be decent back in the days (or at least I think it was). Location is okay, there are few good restaurants and stores if you want to buy something to eat/drink. About negatives: 1) Wrong photos for rooms - you book one room and expecting certain features present, but in reality they show photos of deluxe room on every option. So if you want to have for example a table and chair to work, you have to pay more for upgrade. I do not know if it is intentional or not. 2) Breakfast. It is not great and price is misleading - page shows 1 euro per breakfast, yet in reality hotel requests 8-9 euro (why not just state the correct price from the start I have no idea) 3) Sanitation. I got bitten by ticks or fleas in 2 rooms!! and got serious allergy reaction later (this is statement from my doctor, with which I was forced to make an appointment) I had to leave hotel for another option, granted they refunded the rest of unused days of my stay. I think hotel should organize general disinfection and pesticide as it is unacceptable when your guests suffer like this.

The stay at hotel was the worst one for me. The staff, location and other things were all good. But at evening I told them that the room is very hot and I have had headache and now due to excess hot room my blood pressure is also shooting up. But, instead they told me to open the window. Later i told him that the outside road is main road and very noisy and we couldn't rest or sleep. They neither open the AC because they said that they were still in winter mode and they couldn't open the AC or change the room and/or provide a small floor or table portable fan to that we could sleep comfortably. They didn't do anything and we spend a most miserable night without and rest and sleep. And their breakfast was also pretty basic. Nothing extra ordinary or special. Just very basic. Seriously, please do not recommend this hotel at least in April-May and in months when weather is changing whereas they only update thermostat after severe change in weather outside. thanks regards Khurram

The location of the hotel is good with a supermarket and a mini market and the Metro within easy walking distance. There’s also plenty of eateries close by There’s Also a cute cafe downstairs! Another PLUS point is the receptionists speak excellent English and Can help you with calling a Taxi etc. I love the fact there is a kitchen and a washing machine in this spacious unit. Minus points are - the Shower stall does not drain well at all and When you take a Shower the next day thw floor is slimy. We were there four days and they only made the bed and cleaned the room every 2 days altho they did give fresh towels and cleaned out the trash. The kitchen has pots and pans and crockery but but its not complete. For intance there is bread knife but no knives, no bowls or colanders for washing your raw Ingredients etc Overall the stay was OK . I would give it a 7 out of 10
