I ordered a room with a city view. On the photo you can see no city and only the ouside roof. The drawer would not stay closed and kept opening by itself. The tap was completely loose. Excellent hotel for a layover in Johannesburg. I really liked everything about it. This Marriott hotel has an aviation theme, and you can feel the exceptional attention to detail. For those who appreciate quality interiors, there's plenty to admire. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise; there was a good selection of food, including fruits and pastries. There's also a coffee machine. We used the shuttle bus twice, and it was perfectly on schedule. It's easy to find the boarding point at the airport (just follow the 'Bus' signs). Yes, the room for two people is quite small, but we're talking about a one-night stopover, so it wasn't an issue. Also, the pool area with sun loungers doesn't feel private at all – there's a busy road right beyond the lawn. But, in any case, everything is clean and well-maintained. I recommend it!

This was our second time staying at this hotel because it’s so conveniently located, and we had another wonderful experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was spotless and well-maintained, creating a comfortable atmosphere for our stay. The beds were especially cozy, ensuring a good night's sleep. One of the highlights is still the complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport, which runs every 15 minutes and is very punctual. It made our travel to the airport hassle-free. Breakfast was delicious, with a great variety of options. Overall, we had a great stay and would highly recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, comfort, and attentive staff.

A good place if you have a transit or even if you stay in Joburg for few days. It’s little far from the city centre but the location is safe and plenty of restaurants and supermarkets around. Still many scammers around, be careful. Hotel room is little small but worth for money. Has breakfast, restaurant, bar, swimming pool. Airport shuttle van leaving every hour from morning to night.

The hotel is excellent, with a designer interior. There is a guarded parking lot for the car. The hotel has a spa, a pond and a swimming pool and much more. You can use the infrastructure. If you take a room with breakfast and dinner, then be careful, dinner for the room is 800 ZAR, breakfast for the room is 450 ZAR. If you take more than this cost, then you will have to pay extra! Wi-Fi works well, no problems. The only thing we missed in the room was slippers.

My husband arrived early at the hotel (7am) , tired and exhausted after a long flight and staff were not helpful with getting him into the room atleast a little earlier than the check-in time or offered any other available room , he was told to wait until 2pm to check into his room . Also , he asked for a halal meal when calling room service and they just told him they don’t have anything , instead of offering an alternative . I really hope that in future , the service of this hotel would be more helpful .

Always love staying at the Piazza. Great buffet breakfast, great rooms and easy access straight into Monte Casino. It’s also half an hour away from the airport ( give or take considering traffic), so keep that in mind when you got a flight to catch the next day 😉
