We have visited to Lenin Peak base camp, also known as Tulpar Kul Lake. It's a small and transparent lake, located at an altitude of 3,500 meters.
The lake is very much in contrast with the surrounding landscapes. The soil and hills around the lake are made up of red soil. Together with the green grass growing around and the white caps of the Peak.
Tulpar-Kul is within walking distance of Achyk-Tash – the base camp of Lenin Peak. Also, it is possible to reach the lake on horseback from the nearest villages of Sary-Mogol and Kashka-Suu. We have booked a tour for 3 days from Osh. Found on Instagram, Pegas Adventure. Helpful and quickly answered my questions. We did with this itinerary
Day 1. From Osh to Tulparkul Lake by car, 5 hours. On the way, we had lunch in Sary Mogul village. Upon arrival at the camp, we had dinner with local foods.
Day 2: Hiking day to Travellers pass 4130m. Totally 7 hours go/back. Trek is not so difficult, only 1,5 km is very steep, other parts are very easy. Also possible to do horseback riding
Day 3: Back to Osh
This is the most beautiful places in the southern part of Kyrgyzstan.
