The Living 'Mount Aso' 🌋 The journey began with Kumamoto's symbol, Mount Aso! Even the drive up was a scenic masterpiece, and as I got closer to the crater, I was left speechless. Seeing the white smoke billowing right before my eyes was a humbling experience, showcasing the grandeur of nature...✨ The harmony of the vast grasslands and the volcano was truly stunning. It's the perfect spot for capturing life’s best shots! 2. Kumamoto's Top-Tier Tonkatsu, 'Katsuretsutei Shinshigai Main Store' 🥩 No trip is complete without good food! I visited the most famous 'Katsuretsutei Shinshigai Main Store' in Kumamoto. Though there was a bit of a wait, one bite made it all worthwhile. The thick meat bursts with juice, and the crispy coating is so crunchy it might scrape your palate! (The epitome of crispy outside, juicy inside 👍) The nutty flavor of the sauce, made by grinding sesame seeds yourself, was the cherry on top... Now I understand why they call it life-changing tonkatsu. This place is a must-visit. 3. Edo-Era Vibes at 'Sakurano Baba Josaien' & 'Tente' Ice Cream 🍦 After a hearty meal, I took a stroll to 'Sakurano Baba Josaien.' It's a shopping street designed like an old Japanese town, filled with charming and pretty shops, making it a joy to explore. Of course, I couldn’t resist the dessert shops! I grabbed some ice cream at 'Tente,' which is famous for its soft-serve topped with fruits or other toppings.
