Kanas Lake, a forgotten paradise

On September 18th, we arrived at the legendary Kanas. The beauty was overwhelming. We marveled at how lucky we are to have such a wonderful place! Words fail me! Thanks to Zuo Gong 🙏 We were fortunate to witness a couple getting their marriage certificate in Xinjiang, bilingual too. The shy and adorable couple was taking selfies, and as an outgoing person, I immediately ran over to help them take photos. Other tourists also guided them to pose intimately in various ways. Haha, it felt like the young couple was almost scared away by our enthusiasm. Sorry, we were just happy for you and got a bit excited. It was my first time staying in a felt tent. I was very excited at first, but it turned out to be drafty on all sides, completely uninsulated and not warm at all. I spent the whole night sleeping in a down jacket and wool socks. The sounds of footsteps, talking, and going to the bathroom outside felt like they were happening right next to me. I barely slept... For those who want to experience it, it's best to book a tent far from other rooms during the warm season.
