Embracing Autumn Foliage in Juwangsan

#fallingseason I visited Juwangsan National Park for autumn foliage sights last weekend and was blown away by the views there. Besides golden ginkgos and fiery maple leafs, the high, narrow cliffs that you pass through and numerous waterfalls made it an especially memorable trip. i regret not going there before! I started by Daejeonsa Temple, with it's colourful foliage towering over tile-topped Korean walls, before taking the main trekking path (3km) towards the stunning Yongyeon Waterfall. I ended the afternoon sipping a coffee and enjoying the foliage views in a cosy cafe that had metal cups... which was weird but not bad, haha. Unfortunately, Juwangsan is really far from Daejeon and even further from Seoul, so it's not easy to get to. But it was certainly worth the 3 hour coach ride to visit on the peak autumn foliage day.
