This guesthouse at the South Gate of Huangshan is perfect for staying with kids!

When climbing Huangshan, choosing the right place to stay really saves a lot of trouble! Fenghuan Chao South Gate Guesthouse is close to the scenic area and very comfortable to stay in. Our whole family was satisfied~ The exact location is in Tangkou Town, South Gate of Huangshan, just a 5-minute walk from the scenic area transfer center, very close. It takes about 40 minutes by taxi from Huangshan North Station. If you drive, the guesthouse has free parking, so no worries about parking. You don’t have to get up early to rush before climbing, and after climbing, you can come straight back. The location is super convenient~ As soon as you enter the guesthouse, you feel it’s really nice! The house is in Huizhou style, with white walls and black tiles. The courtyard has many bamboo plants and flowers, plus a small pond, looking clean and refreshing. The air smells like the mountains, cool and fresh, without the noise of the city. Sitting and resting here feels very relaxing. The room we stayed in has a huge scenic floor-to-ceiling window. When you open the curtains, you can see the green mountains and bamboo outside, with a great view. In the morning, you can even see the sunrise, with the sun shining golden on the mountains—really beautiful. The smart room control is also very practical. Just say "Xiaodu Xiaodu" to open the curtains, adjust the lights, or turn on the air conditioning. It’s super convenient when you’re tired from climbing and don’t want to move. The room facilities are quite complete. The bed is soft, the bathroom has a dry and wet separation, so washing up is not cramped. There’s plenty of hot water supply. After climbing, taking a hot shower makes you feel comfortable all over. There’s also a smart toilet and high-speed internet, making the stay as convenient as at home. The dining is also good! Breakfast includes porridge, buns, eggs, noodles, and Huangshan’s special baba cake. The variety is not small and filling. If you want a proper meal, just tell the guesthouse. You can eat local dishes like stinky mandarin fish, Mao tofu, and stir-fried mountain bamboo shoots with pork. The flavors are authentic, and the ingredients are fresh. The service is really impeccable! There’s a dedicated housekeeper who reminds us what to bring and pay attention to before climbing, helps plan the route, and buys scenic area tickets and shuttle bus tickets for us, saving a lot of trouble. For families with kids, the guesthouse has a children’s playground with slides, toys, and picture books. Kids can play there for half a day while adults rest. If you need anything, just call, and the staff will come to help promptly. Very thoughtful. Transportation is also convenient. Besides driving and taxis, there’s a bus stop right at the guesthouse entrance that goes directly to the scenic area transfer center. There are many places to visit nearby: a 10-minute walk to Tangkou Town Old Street for snacks and souvenirs; a 20-minute drive to Hongcun to explore the ancient village and enjoy beautiful scenery; 30 minutes to Xidi, another great place to see Huizhou architecture; and the most convenient is climbing Huangshan itself, with direct transfers right outside the door, no detours. We were really satisfied with this stay—great location, comfortable, good service, suitable for families with kids or solo climbers. Next time we come to Huangshan, we’ll choose this place again! 🏠 Huangshan Fenghuan Chao South Gate Guesthouse [RoundNails] No. 13, Wuni Pass Group, Shanchacun, Tangkou Town, Huangshan District, Huangshan City
