Explore the Hometown of Xu Fu, a One-Day Self-Driving Tour in Ganyu, Lianyungang

Lianyungang Ganyu is the hometown of Xu Fu. The county was established here as early as the Qin Dynasty, with the administrative center located in Yancang City, belonging to Langya Commandery, and has a very long history. Today, there are still cultural relics related to Confucius and Emperor Qin Shi Huang. 🚗 On this trip, I had a one-day self-driving tour in Ganyu, and this is how I played! 1️⃣ Hometown of Xu Fu Located in Xufu Village, Jinshan Town, Ganyu District, it is now a beautiful and peaceful small village. In the village, there is a Xu Fu Temple, and I had a lot of interesting conversations with the gatekeeper about the historical materials and legends related to Xu Fu. 📌 Free admission, Xu Fu Temple usually opens around 9 am (mainly depends on when the gatekeeper arrives). It is about 24km from Ganyu Station by car, and parking is free 2️⃣ Haizhou Bay Ocean Park An all-indoor ocean park, with an underwater tunnel right after the entrance, followed by various interesting marine life, as well as some specimens and exhibition halls. There are sea lion shows every morning and afternoon, at 10 am and 11 am, with slight variations on holidays. The ocean park also includes a petting zoo, which is included in the ticket price. 📌 Ticket price is 90 yuan per person, open from 9:00 to 18:00, about 14km from Ganyu Station by car, and parking is free 3️⃣ Erdao Street Cultural District An antique-style cultural district within Ganyu City, with food, fun, and bars. I stayed at a nearby hotel, surrounded by a rich commercial area and a plethora of food options, making it a great place to stroll around.
