Upon arrival in Chiang Rai, we picked up our pre-booked rental car and were ready to hit the road! 🚗💨 🗓️ Day 1 - Exploring Chiang Rai 📍Wat Huai Pla Kang, admire the large Guan Yin statue and the elevator up to the top of the Bodhisattva for stunning views. 📍Wat Rong Khun, with its beautiful Thai art from every angle, is a perfect place to take photos. 🎨🏯 📍Wat Phra Kaew, Chiang Rai, a historical temple where the Emerald Buddha was once enshrined. 🏨 Stayed at: Hop Inn Chiang Rai, Clock Tower. Clean, safe accommodations, excellent location. 👍 🕰️ Stroll around the Clock Tower and pay respects at the King Mangrai Monument. 🍽️ End the first day of the trip with dinner in Charoen Chai Province. Delicious, home-cooked Northern Thai food. 🥘 🗓️ Day 2 - Ascend Doi Mae Salong Experience the scent of tea in the North. ⛩️ Start the day at Wat Rong Suea Ten, a vibrant blue temple with a unique beauty. 🕊️ Continue to Wat Ming Muang and Wat Phra That Santitham, beautiful temples along the mountain route. 🫖 Stop at Wang Phuttan Tea Plantation to sip tea and enjoy the refreshing natural scenery. 🍃 🏡 Stay at: Baan Hommuenlee, a homestay with a warm atmosphere in the valley. 🙏 Stop at Phra Borommathat Srinakarindra Sathit Maha Santikiri, a beautiful and peaceful viewpoint not to be missed. 📸 Stop for photos at Mae Salong Viewpoint before returning to your accommodation. 🗓️ Day 3 - Beautiful Tea, Peaceful City 🌅 Wake up early and stroll through Mae Salong's morning market. Shop for delicious local food 🥟 🍵 Visit 101 Tea Plantations, a highlight of Doi Mae Salong.
