The colorful forest of Pingwu Tianmu Lake is located within Baima Tibetan Township, Pingwu County, Mianyang City, Sichuan Province, and is part of the Wanglang Nature Reserve. The water of Tianmu Lake is never just a single shade of blue. In the early morning while waiting for the sunrise at the viewing platform, the lake surface shows a triple gradient with the changing light — when the mist has not yet dispersed, it is a hazy emerald green; after the sunrise, it turns into a clear turquoise; and at noon under direct sunlight, it becomes a deep sapphire blue. The colorful forest along the shore reflects in the water, resembling a spilled palette falling onto a mirror. If you drive along the "Hundred-Mile Colorful Forest Corridor," the more than 70 kilometers of road along both banks of the Huoxi River hide even more vibrant scenery: the deep red of Sichuan redwoods and the bright yellow of birch trees intertwine in the wind. Driving through it feels like passing through a flowing oil painting gallery. At this time, the red and yellow leaves intertwine with the blue sky, white clouds, snow mountains, and lake water, creating an overwhelmingly beautiful scene. You can reach near Tianmu Lake by driving along National Highway 247. The route from Baxijia Ancient Village to Tianmu Lake has generally good road conditions, with some mountain roads. Please drive safely while enjoying the colorful forest scenery on the mountains. Alternatively, you can exit the Jiumian Expressway at the Mupi Toll Station and then drive along National Highway G247, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Hundred-Mile Colorful Forest Corridor along the way. Tianmu Lake Viewing Platform: Located near Tunnel No. 1 at Shuiniujia, Pingwu County, from here you can take in the beautiful views of Tianmu Lake and the surrounding green peaks and canyons.
