Laoshan Scenic Area is really quite large. After spending three days exploring, here’s a summary of my experience～～～～At the end, there’s a money-saving way to tour. The scenic area is divided into two routes: north and south. ➡️ North Route 🔴 Beijiushui Scenic Area 🎟 Ticket price: 90 RMB, valid for the day 🚇 Take the Blue Valley Express Line to Beijiushui Exit B ➡️ South Route 🔴 Yangkou Scenic Area 🔴 Taiqing Scenic Area 🔴 Huayan Temple 🎟 Ticket price: 90 RMB, sightseeing bus 40 RMB, valid for two days‼️ (Includes the above three scenic spots) ⚪️ Taiqing Palace Separate ticket required: 27 RMB 🔵 Jufeng Scenic Area 🎟 Ticket price: 120 RMB, valid for the day 🚇 Take Line 4 to Dahedong Station, Exit A Laoshan Tourist Service Center, transfer here to the sightseeing bus for the south route 🚩🚩🚩 Scenic Area Combined Ticket (for the above scenic spots, excluding Taiqing Palace) 🎟 Ticket price: 210 RMB, includes sightseeing bus, valid for three days 🔛🔛🔛🔛🔛🔛🔛🔛🔛🔛🔛 🏖 1⃣ Beijiushui To walk the entire scenic area, you need to climb two peaks, taking about two and a half hours; just the waterfall route takes about one hour. This is my second time visiting Beijiushui. Compared to last time, most of the leaves have fallen, so the scenery feels much less impressive. It’s better to visit before November 10. Currently, many parts of the scenic area are under renovation, making it a bit messy. 2⃣ Taiqing Scenic Area Take the sightseeing bus from Dahedong Tourist Center to Bashui River Lower Station, then hike all the way to the highest point, Mingxia Cave. Along the way, you pass Heilong Pool, Shangqing Palace, and descend to Yakou. The trip takes about two hours. There is a cable car between Yakou and Mingxia Ancient Trail. 3⃣ Yangkou Scenic Area From Yakou, take the sightseeing bus about twenty minutes to Yangkou. The highest point in the scenic area is Tianyuan, at an altitude of 641 meters. The final climb is quite steep. You pass Taiping Palace and Taiping Peak. The round trip takes about two hours and is relatively less strenuous than Taiqing Scenic Area. Cable cars are available in the scenic area. 4⃣ Jufeng Scenic Area Take the sightseeing bus towards Jufeng from Dahedong Tourist Center. This scenic area reaches the highest peak of Laoshan, Laoshan Summit, which is also the highest point on China’s coastline. Climbing difficulty: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Beginners should take the cable car‼️ The fastest route to the summit is to reach the cable car upper station, then follow the right mountain path to reach Lingqi Peak, which is the most beautiful spot in all of Laoshan. The cover photo is the Star Picking Pavilion below the peak. The Jufeng Grand Loop is 4.5 kilometers, passing eight gates. The route crosses five or six peaks, with elevation changes between 700 and 1000 meters, making it very challenging～～～Fortunately, there is a shop at Wufeng Xianwan for supplies. Also, the signage at Qianmen is not very clear, so please read carefully to avoid getting lost. 5⃣ Taiqing Palace From Mingxia Cave, descend to Yakou and then walk 1.5 kilometers further down. You need a Taiqing Scenic Area ticket to purchase a Taiqing Palace ticket. ⚠️ 📍 Best choice: Taiqing-Yangkou combined ticket, two days are enough to leisurely enjoy all four spots. 📍 For hiking enthusiasts, choose the 210 RMB scenic area combined ticket. Allow at least eight hours to explore Taiqing and Yangkou Scenic Areas. ‼️ Cable cars stop running at 5 PM, and the last sightseeing bus is at 5:30 PM. 📍 The scenery of Beijiushui and Bashui River seems somewhat overlapping. 🔥 Hidden money-saving sightseeing route: Bus 618: Yangkou ⬅️➡️ Yakou The full route is 13 kilometers, and you can enjoy stunning views of Laoshan and the coastline from the bus. It’s recommended to first take the bus to Yakou and then tour back.
