The descendants of Yu the Great gather here, willing to be the guardians of the village

Shaoxing Keqiao District Kedong Town has a little-known small village, where 80% of the people have the surname Yu, descendants of Yu the Great, and it is said that Yu's consort was buried here. 'Tomb' means grave, and 'grave' not being upright is referred to as 'slanting tomb'. Many royal ladies of the Yue Kingdom were buried here, making it an early royal cemetery. In 2010, the village was named a Chinese Historical and Cultural Village. Surrounded by mountains and water, the village is serene and profound, with the Yugong River visible not far away. The village has a museum guarded by villagers, with detailed descriptions of the village's history. Many elderly people can be seen in the village, many of whom are of advanced age, gathering in groups to play chess and cards, which is quite interesting. 🔸Photography: This is a very typical cultural ancient village, not having many scenes suitable for portrait photography, but more for friends who like history and culture. 🔸Accommodation: It is said that you can stay in the village. We only came for one day, walked around for a while and then left, but still quite wanted to stay a few more days. The elderly say that there are not many young people in the village, but there are many houses available for rent at reasonable prices. 🔸Touring: After walking through the attractions in the village, you can go to the nearby Yugong River, which has been well developed and utilized, with blue-green water, reminiscent of the Jiangnan region's 'the river turns green as blue in spring'.
