Camlica Mosque 🇹🇷 Istanbul

Built in the top of the hill the Camlica Mosque can be seen from all around Istanbul. At the start of our first day we hadn't planned what to do in Istanbul, so we looked out the window and saw the Camlica Mosque and Istanbul tower. Off we headed up what I can only describe as San Francisco style steep hills. We walked up from the kadikoy area, which took around two hours with a coffee stop off. Once at the Camlica Mosque we were blown away with it's size, scale and magnificent art. The domes were beautiful, the courtyard was stunning and the views of the city were panoramic. If you have half a day to spend wandering through the streets of Istanbul with a guaranteed show stopping tourist spot at the end. This is it.
