Warsaw Castle Square Warsaw Castle Square, also known as Palace Square, is a huge square at the southern end of Warsaw's Old Town. At the heart of the square is a monument to the Polish capital, Krakow III, moved to Krakow III in Warsaw. Come here, you will arrive in Warsaw's main tourist area, you can walk into the Old Town, New Town Plaza, surrounded by many leisure restaurants, cafes, and the south-facing sightseeing tower overlooking the entire square and the surrounding scenery. The building is pentagon-shaped, beautiful and magnificent. During the two world wars, this was the Polish presidential palace. After the failure of the Warsaw Uprising in 1944, the palace was razed to the ground by the Germans and rebuilt in the 1970s. The current castle palace has become a museum, mainly collecting treasures of Polish dynasties, Polish historical paintings by famous painters in Polish history. Today's Warsaw Palace Museum is a cultural symbol of the millennial history of Poland and a witness to the rise and fall of the nation.
