Wuhan and Xi'an, 4 days and 5 nights travel guide

This is a travelogue, including tips and prices. Edited in chronological order. 🕰️Dates: Departed on the evening of December 3rd, returned to Wuhan on the morning of the 8th. 🚞Transportation: Hard sleeper trains both ways. Total cost: 784 yuan. Outbound: Bought tickets at XC, 8 yuan off with a coupon, and booked a hotel, further reduced the fare by 40 yuan, costing 364 yuan for two middle berths. Return: Lower berth + middle berth, 420 yuan. 🏠Accommodation: Hanting Hotel (Wanda Plaza Branch, Wulukou Subway Station), three nights, totaling 481.33 yuan. 👖Clothing Recommendations: Xi'an is colder than Wuhan. In Wuhan, a fleece-lined pair of pants is sufficient; in Xi'an, you'll need thermal underwear + fleece-lined pants. Tops included a base layer + a thick windproof fleece lining + a short down jacket. Everyone's experience is different, this is for reference only. ------------- Day 1️⃣: Lishan Garden & Terracotta Warriors. 🚞Transportation: Take the train from Xi'an to Lintong. Once there, join other tourists to form a group of four and share a taxi for 5 yuan per person, directly to the entrance of Lishan Garden. Wulukou is close to Xi'an Railway Station, making it convenient to take the train. 🉑Recommended Itinerary: Lishan Garden first, then the Terracotta Warriors. The official guided tour at the entrance is a bit expensive, so I didn't buy one. At the electric cart ticket booth, I saw three people negotiating with an unlicensed guide. We eventually gathered seven people and got a final price of 25 yuan per person. Our guide, surnamed Gou, was a man. Although he was an unlicensed guide, he had a guide's license and a voucher issued by the scenic area. I thought his tour was quite good, and we hired him for the Terracotta Warriors tour as well. It was much better than buying tickets online. A special reminder: don't hire very young guides; they just recite memorized texts and can't connect the historical facts. There's a free shuttle bus from Lishan Garden to the Terracotta Warriors. At the entrance, we ate at Wesley's Burger, which was affordable and delicious. You can also try Wei's Cold Noodles, but it's too crowded. Terracotta Army Pit Order: 1-3-2. After visiting, exit directly to the left of the exit, not straight ahead. This avoids passing through the commercial street and is also closer to the destination. 🚇Return Transportation: We shared a taxi (5 yuan per person) to Huaqing Pool subway station (4 people total), then took the subway to Wulukou back to the hotel. You can also take the train, but the departure time is too late, so we didn't choose that option. ‼️Don't trust the 20 yuan round-trip tickets offered by travel agencies; this is a huge scam. They will try to persuade you to buy other tickets or Lantian jade. ‼️Ignore people selling fruit or other items with a cold shoulder. Don't say thank you or no thanks, or they will pester you. ‼️If taxi drivers in Lintong try to sell you anything, including tickets or guided tours, don't buy anything. 💰120 x 2 tickets + transportation total 68 + 50 x 2 guided tour fees for two sites + about 150 for food. First day's expenses: 558 yuan. -------------- Not enough words, continue in the comments section.

Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum - Lishan Garden

Step into a legend—Xi’an’s Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor delivers awe with ancient grandeur! 🌄 Immerse yourself in the world’s largest tomb, uncovering the secrets behind the clay army and marveling at restoration that spans millennia. Start your journey at the Tomb of Prisoners inside the Mausoleum, where the very scale hints at history’s ambition. Then stroll to the Bronze Chariot and Horse of Qinling for up-close views—these intricately crafted displays truly reveal the artistry of ancient China (bring your zoom lens for close-up detail shots!). Next, head to Terra-Cotta Warriors Pit No.1 (best entry Mar–July: 08:30–18:30, July–Aug: 08:00–19:30), where the sea of warriors in battle formation stuns with lifelike features—early morning is your golden hour for crowd-free “insta-worthy” panoramas. Continue to No.3 Pit nearby (open 09:00–16:00 all year), smaller but rich in rare relics, perfect for tight shots of restored faces and armor. Don’t skip Lishan Garden: wander landscaped paths for tranquil views, especially at sunset when the tombs backdrop glows. 📝 Essentials: Tickets often sell out—book ahead for peak times. Photo ops abound, but flash is forbidden inside the exhibition halls. Give yourself 3–4 hours to appreciate details; wear comfy shoes, since grounds are expansive and a lot of terrain is outdoors. 🌟 Insider tip: To truly appreciate the level of restoration, seek out exhibits showing “before and after”—the contrast is jaw-dropping. It’s humbling to consider these wonders are still waiting for their full glory to be revived. Engage a guide to interpret the details. #XiAn #TerracottaWarriors #AncientChina #MuseumDay #BucketList
