Scenic Matanuska River
#Alaska #fall
Running alongside the North Glenn Highway is the Matanuska River, a 75-mile-long river in South-central Alaska.
During our drive to the Matanuska Glacier for the Glacier Tour, we found ourselves compelled to stop at each viewpoint along the road to capture moments with the scenic view of the river. Despite some parts of the riverbed being dry, the remaining water still offered us a stunning panoramic landscape.
Visiting in September, we were greeted by the sight of the forest transitioning into a beautiful yellow backdrop, adding to the charm of the scenery.
If you find yourself traveling to Matanuska Glacier or driving along the North Glenn Highway, don't miss the opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking view of the Matanuska River.

Trip to the Magnificent Matanuska Glacier
#Alaska #Glacier
We couldn't describe our experience as anything less than fantastic. During our trip to Alaska, we had the incredible opportunity to visit the Matanuska Glacier. Stretching 27 miles long and 4 miles wide, this valley glacier is located near the Glenn Highway in Glacier View, approximately 100 miles northeast of Anchorage. It holds the distinction of being the largest glacier in the United States accessible by car.
The prospect of witnessing this magnificent glacier firsthand filled us with excitement. The Matanuska Glacier offers guided tours, allowing visitors to safely explore its icy expanse. With the guidance of experts, we slowly walked into the heart of the glacier. Navigating through the icy terrain, we were surrounded by towering ice mountains, creating a breathtaking spectacle.
Despite the cold, the beauty of the Matanuska Glacier was a truly unforgettable experience that we will never forget. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Alaska.
Mushroom Jun's American Wanderlust
USA, Alaska
blue millennium ice and white snow layer gathered in Anchorage's Matanuska, which is accessible in the United States by car The largest glacier, 27 miles long and 4 miles wide. In winter, Alaska allows visitors to enter the glaciers very little, and Matanuska is one of the best. Along the Glen Road, the huge icebergs and rivers appear on the right hand side of the car, like two ancient behemoths that are independent and independent.
Put on the crampons and start walking on the led by the guide Jody. Looking forward from the center of the glacier, the wide white ice flow is hard as iron, but with a beautiful curve. Passing through the rocky walls of the mountains, forming a natural slide that is several tens of meters high; the hail that is denuded by wind and rivers stands out beside them, like a whale like a head or tail. This is the first time I saw To the true glacier.
Walk in this magical world, the light blue light reflected from cracks, glacier potholes and ice pits is fascinating, and there are countless blue pools in the blue ice pits. And the surface of the cross-hybridized stream, regardless of size, in a graceful posture in a smooth river channel with a vortex slowly sliding. Every step of the way, these scenes can awaken the heartfelt admiration of nature. There are always some cold wonderland outside the city. Once you step into it, you will unwittingly cross another planet. Matanuska is such a frozen planet. Time is still here, and the ethereal magic is summoned. Everyone.

Denali, also known as Mount McKinley, holds the distinction of being the highest mountain peak in North America. As we journeyed, the sight of this majestic mountain towering into the clouds from distant viewpoints along the road was truly stunning and breathtaking.
The road was flanked by immense mountains and expansive forests stretching as far as the eye could see, creating one of the most beautiful views we have ever seen. It became evident why people are drawn to traveling in Alaska, especially Denali State Park; its vastness and tranquility offer an unparalleled opportunity to immerse oneself in nature.
With nothing to disturb us, we found peace in the serene environment of Denali State Park, surrounded only by mountains, roads, and occasionally encountering wildlife such as moose and bears.

Dr. Seuss House Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Dr. Seuss House
If you’re looking for quirky places to go, check out the Dr. Seuss House.
You can’t miss it: Its tallest tower reaches 185 feet, and each of its floors is stacked on the next in an odd, disjointed and tumble-style stack.
An interesting fact about the Dr. Seuss House is that it has nothing to do with Dr. Seuss at all.
Its official name is the Goose Creek Tower, and it was built by a local man just for fun.
However, it’s easy to see why locals think of The Cat in the Hat whenever they gaze at its colorful and whimsical architecture.
The Dr. Seuss House is a landmark like none other, and it’ll serve as a cool and unique vacation destination for anyone who likes going off the beaten path and discovering new things.
