Old Barag Banner Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Scenic area of the Mo'ergele River Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
I've arrived in Hulunbuir! Flew 3800 kilometers just to see this??
🆘 The early summer in Hulunbuir has already reached the next level of beauty! The Windows desktop has made a full comeback! Finally, I'm living the life of not going to work and herding sheep with my best friend here! I want to breathe freely in a place without a ceiling, chasing sheep every day🐑!
It's simply unbelievable that all these beautiful scenes actually exist, the scenarios from my dreams are happening right before my eyes, and I've been visually bombarded on the first day...
💐 The moving Windows desktop undulates before my eyes🍀🎨
💐 Cattle and sheep wade through water and cross rivers before my eyes🐄🐑
💐 Comic clouds that I've only seen in AI are changing shapes before my eyes☁️
💐 The Morin Dawa River has already turned into a beautiful painting🖼️
💐 The grassland sunset🌄 plus the century's twilight makes us howl with laughter😂
💐 Hills and fields full of cattle, sheep, and horses, it's hard to imagine how happy the people living here must be.
Travel tips:
1️⃣ There's no need to go to scenic spots, the scenery along the way will make you want to get out of the car at any time... Fences are everywhere, and the wind in the wilderness is filled with the taste of freedom
2️⃣ The recent temperature is roughly between the teens and twenties degrees Celsius, so you need to bring a thick coat
3️⃣ It's still the off-season now, the scenery is beautiful, prices are low, and the travel experience is very good
4️⃣ For photography, it's recommended to wear light-colored clothes
5️⃣ The weather forecast is not very accurate😂 The weather changes super fast
I've been living in Hulunbuir for a while now, so if you have any questions, just ask, I'm familiar with Hulunbuir😄

Traveling Slowly Around the World | I thought Altay was beautiful enough until I arrived here
This secret gem on the border of Inner Mongolia is truly the most stunning and lesser-known spot in my Hulunbuir circuit trip!!!
A place rarely visited by 99% of tourists, even those with chartered guides
Undisturbed, so it remains pure, natural, and serene
.
The rolling hills, the herds of horses, cattle, and sheep that can be seen everywhere
The straight birch forests are artistically scattered about, standing alone as woods
I spent the entire afternoon here
Until the evening, when I watched an orange sunset on the hillside before leaving!
.
Location: Enhe
🚗 Navigation: The leader's secret treasure, somewhere behind the hills next to the village
.
Herds of cattle, sheep, and horses, even the horsemen and shepherds don't mind them, letting them roam freely in this world
Birch forests can be seen everywhere, but they are scattered into small woods, very artistic
The grasslands here undulate continuously, stretching to the horizon like waves

🌿 Hulunbuir travel tips
1️⃣ The temperature difference between morning and evening in Hulunbuir is big, so prepare a thicker piece of clothing
2️⃣ The weather on the grassland is changeable, if you encounter a rainy day, you can wait, there's a high chance it will clear up
3️⃣ The infrastructure in Hulunbuir is not very good, especially on the grassland where it's easy to lose signal! It's recommended to find a reliable chartered car leader to follow the itinerary!
4️⃣ As summer vacation approaches, local prices will fluctuate greatly, especially for accommodations! If you have time, it's suggested to travel before the July summer vacation to avoid the crowds and enjoy the beautiful scenery! For those planning to travel in July or August, it's advised to book local ground handling, hotels, etc., in advance to avoid sudden price hikes!

A Comprehensive Guide to Taking Kids to Hulunbuir During Summer Vacation
Get up close and personal with nature
🎉🎉Just back from Hulunbuir, where the blue sky, white clouds, and green grasslands create a picturesque scene with cattle and sheep grazing as the wind blows. July and August are the most beautiful months for the grasslands. For a summer vacation with kids, Hulunbuir is definitely an ideal destination! 🎉🎉
🚗🚗About the way to travel: Generally, it involves chartered cars, self-driving, or joining a tour group. For first-timers, I recommend hiring a local guide with a car. There are several reasons: many places on the grassland have no signal, and only local drivers know the way; compared to the fixed schedule of bus tours, chartered cars offer more freedom for kids, stop whenever you want, and do whatever you want to do.
🌈🌈Recommended itinerary:
D1: ✈Arrive at Hailar Airport—Rest at hotel—Taste local cuisine
D2: Hailar—Grassland crossing—Morigele River—Ergun (Asia's largest wetland)
D3: Ergun—Birch Forest—Enhe Russian Ethnic Township—Shiwei (feed reindeer, river cruise)
D4: Shiwei—K-line (China-Russia border highway)—Heishantou (horse riding, milking cows, feeding lambs)
D5: Heishantou—Zhalainuoer Museum—Mammoth Park—Matryoshka Square (Manzhouli)
D6 Manzhouli—National Gate Scenic Area—Hulun Lake—Home
🔥🔥Activities kids must experience:
1⃣ Horse riding on the grassland, feeling the thrill of galloping. 2⃣ Milking cows, getting up close with the grassland life, and feeling the charm of dairy cows. 3⃣ Feeding lambs, interacting closely with small animals, kids will definitely love it. 4⃣ Staying in a Mongolian yurt, experiencing the life of grassland herders, and feeling a different charm. 5⃣ Checking in at the Matryoshka hotel, enjoying the Russian style. 6⃣ Grass sliding, experiencing the exciting and fun activity on the grassland.
🍔🍔About food: The cuisine of Hulunbuir is also a highlight. Don't worry about kids not being used to the food, they will really enjoy the hearty meals there! The beef and mutton are so delicious, and you can also experience authentic Russian cuisine in Manzhouli.
👗👗About clothing: The temperature difference between morning and evening on the grassland is significant, so it's advisable to bring a windbreaker. You can wear normal short-sleeved T-shirts at noon, and sunscreen is also very important!
Overall, this trip offered a glimpse of the grasslands and forests, an experience of the herders' life on the grassland, and a taste of exotic cultures, truly a fulfilling experience!

🍃Endless grasslands, blue skies with white clouds, and herds of cattle and sheep, it's like a fairy tale world from a Miyazaki movie! ⚠️ 'Important Notes'
Sun Protection: The UV rays on the grassland are strong, so be sure to protect and moisturize your skin.

Food: Roasted whole lamb, Northeastern stew, lamb chops, hot pot, hand-grabbed meat, milk tofu, milk tea... Don't miss out on the specialty foods! The portions are quite large!
Transportation: It is recommended to hire a car for a free and comfortable journey. Find reliable locals to guide you, and you'll see many different beautiful scenes, with fewer people and more beauty, for a full experience!
Milk: Drink local fresh milk in moderation, as it is not skimmed and drinking too much may upset your stomach.
When horse riding, be sure to go to a regular horse farm for safety first, don't be tempted by cheap roadside offers; drones are not allowed to fly and take pictures along the border line.

Hulunbuir Pre-Departure Suggestions
⭕First, understand the geographical location of each tourist spot in Hulunbuir, and plan your route strategy according to your budget, time, and way of playing
⭕The temperature difference between morning and evening on the grassland is significant, so dress appropriately when traveling to Hulunbuir to prevent catching a cold
⭕On some hills on the grassland, please do not climb without a driver's guidance
⭕When first entering the grasslands, rest more, drink more water, and eat more fruits. Since the water quality in Hulunbuir is hard, it's best to drink bottled water at first to prevent gastrointestinal discomfort
⭕The daily itinerary on the Hulunbuir grasslands is long, so it's recommended to prepare enough water, snacks, and fruits in advance
⭕Besides direct flights, you can choose to fly to Harbin and then take a train, as sometimes the tickets to Hailar and Manzhouli are cheaper
📃 Travel Essentials

✅ Sun protection, the sun on the grassland is very strong, with no shelter, it's easy to get sunburned, bring sunscreen, sun hats, and umbrellas, don't be lazy, otherwise, you'll come back looking like a 'black egg'.
✅ Clothing, bring short sleeves and jackets, windbreakers, long pants, and thermal underwear, don't be lazy, the grasslands have many thorns, and long pants are necessary, jackets, windbreakers, and thick clothes for kids are also necessary due to the large temperature difference in the morning and evening, bring a few short sleeves for when the sun comes out at noon and the temperature rises quickly, sports shoes are very important, don't wear sandals to avoid getting pricked.
✅ Medicine, bring anti-diarrhea medicine, the people on the grassland love to eat meat, and it's easy to get diarrhea if not accustomed, also be aware, the milk on the grassland is very fresh and nutritious, but don't drink too much, locals know it's good for digestion but can easily cause stomach upset; cold medicine is also essential, the temperature difference on the grassland is big, bring vitamin C effervescent tablets for kids, to supplement when fruits are scarce.
✅ Water is very important, be sure to bring a thermos, there are no small stalls or vendors on the grassland.
✅ There are no disposable hotel supplies on the grassland, it is recommended to bring your own.
✅ Pay special attention to safety when participating in various activities on the grassland, especially intense activities like horse riding.

🌳Eergu’Na Wetlands in INNER MONGOLIA
While visiting Inner Mongolia, you have the chance to experience China’s biggest wetland area in Erguna. It is also, like pretty much everything else in China, the first known wetland in Asia.
This area is a National Park and has great infrastructure all the way around. At the entry and exit point, you will find yourself surrounded by little gift and snack shops, but they are a bit more pricey since it’s a tourist area.
With a large and well built boardwalk, you can go from one side to the other, and also go down the hill a bit into the wetlands. However, you cannot actually reach any parts of the river. From the top, the contrasting view between the city and vast green landscape makes for great pictures, and complement the scenery in a beautiful way.
At the end of the boardwalk, you will find a small museum which displays the multiple flora and fauna found in the wetlands. Some parts are interactive, so it’ll be a great break for the kids! There is also an exclusive gift shop inside with plush animals and other unique items from Inner Mongolia.

What kind of experience is it in the yurt weekend? Unlock the summer new experience
on the second night of the Hulun Buir grassland, my mother and I live in the yurt. This is probably the easiest house to build in the world: in the old days, it consisted of skylights, wood poles and walls, in a three-stage structure. High and small size, freely retractable, no burden to relocate.
Now, a few hundred years have passed, "When you are a room, the felt is a wall, and the meat is used as a pulp for the meat." Inner Mongolia has rarely seen the original residence. More, it is a "imitation" made of brick and tile cement.
Fortunately, where we live, there are still traces of authentic life. For example, open the skylight to see the stars, ride the gallops on the prairie, and around the campfire, come to a local dance party.
Tips: By the end of July to the beginning of September, the accommodation experience of the yurt is in short supply. If you are interested in living here, be sure to book in advance, per capita 200 ~ 350 yuan / night. After dinner, you can take part in some local experiences, such as wrestling contests, milking, night star watching, and more.
