Wuhan Cherry Blossom Viewing Guide
The best place to witness the beauty of Wuhan's cherry blossoms is none other than the East Lake Cherry Garden.
The East Lake Cherry Garden is located within the East Lake Scenic Area in Wuchang District, Wuhan City, covering an area of about 150 acres. It is one of the largest cherry blossom viewing bases in Wuhan. From late March to early April each year, the cherry blossoms here bloom vigorously, attracting tens of thousands of tourists to come and enjoy.
Walking into the cherry garden is like entering a pink fairy tale world. The trees are full of blossoms, and the delicate petals sway gently in the breeze, emitting a faint fragrance that intoxicates the senses. Strolling along the path, one can see cherry blossoms of different varieties competing for beauty on the branches, with pink, white, and red colors, dazzling and overwhelmingly beautiful.
In addition to the splendid cherry trees, there is also the majestic Yellow Crane Tower. Standing in front of the Yellow Crane Tower, I seem to hear the chanting of the ancients and feel the weight of history. Every brick and tile on the tower tells a story, immersing one involuntarily in its cultural essence.

Wuhan has now become a legendary place, and one must prepare their cherry blossom viewing strategy in advance
Wuhan's cherry blossoms wait for no one, miss it and you'll have to wait another year! Wuhan has truly become legendary at this time. As I got off at Hankou Station, it seemed like a large number of people got off the high-speed train as well, mostly to see the cherry blossoms, right?
So, you must prepare your strategy well to have a good time!
🌸 Donghu Cherry Blossom Garden is a must-visit for cherry blossom viewing in Wuhan.
🚗 For those driving themselves, it's advised to arrive as early as possible, otherwise, it will be hard to find a parking spot, and the roads will also be congested. It's a good idea to bring some snacks when entering the park.
🚇 From Hankou Station, you can take the subway line 2 to Baotong Temple Station, then transfer to bus 413.
📸 You can use drones in the Cherry Blossom Garden (at least I saw many planes flying without security stopping them), but it's best to keep them within your line of sight due to potential signal interference, which can easily cause them to enter attitude mode. It's best not to take off or land in crowded areas.
💡 Besides enjoying the flowers, there are also small performances at scheduled times and locations within the scenic area. Pay attention to the broadcast announcements after entering the park, each performance lasts about 10-20 minutes.
💰 Ticket price: 60 RMB per person (55 RMB if booked online)
🏨 Accommodations should also be arranged in advance, as good rooms are hard to come by during cherry blossom season. I stayed at the Wuhan Guangming Marriott Hotel, which is only a 10-minute drive from the East Lake Scenic Area. Without an early booking during the cherry blossom season, it's definitely hard to find a room.
📌 Some hotel staff wear a 'Navigator' badge. These Marriott Navigators can tell you about the authentic local flavors and niche spots that locals love to visit. My City Walk was guided by their advice.

The cherry blossoms in Wuhan will romantically bloom across the city in March, along with a cherry blossom viewing guide
Wuhan's spring is just too beautiful, with cherry blossoms blooming everywhere, whether it's by the roadside, at bus stations, in parks, or at universities, you can enjoy this romantic scenery. If you don't believe it, why not take a trip and experience it for yourself? I've put together the latest 2024 cherry blossom viewing guide for everyone, so be sure to save it! 👏
🌸 East Lake Cherry Garden (admission fee): The garden has over ten thousand cherry trees and is an excellent place to view cherry blossoms in Wuhan. Despite the constant flow of people, the beauty of the cherry garden is still captivating. Currently, only the early cherry blossoms are in bloom, and to see the whole garden in full bloom, you'll have to wait until around March 20th.
🌸 Wuhan University (free but reservation by phone 📱 required): Early cherry blossoms have bloomed near Luojia Villa and the entrance of Teaching Building 5, but they have started to wither, while the cherry blossoms near Cherry Blossom Castle have not yet bloomed, but the buds are already visible, expected to bloom around March 20th.
🌸 Xibeihu Square (free): There are about 500 cherry trees by the lake, where you can take photos of the romantic cherry blossom avenue, full of ambiance.
🌸 Xiyuan Park (free): There are several large cherry trees on the lakeside green lawn, suitable for picnics, and you can take pictures of the beautiful scenery of cherry blossoms and the lake.
🌸 Turtle Mountain Park (free): The hillside is covered with pink cherry blossoms, and although the trees are slightly smaller, the blooming scene is equally charming. Here you can take photos of the cherry blossoms with the Turtle Mountain TV Tower 🗼 in the same frame, and from the top, you can see the Parrot Island Bridge, the Yangtze River Bridge, the Yellow Crane Tower, and other famous sights.
🌸 Qingchuan Pavilion (free): Located opposite Turtle Mountain, you can check in here as well. The cherry trees here blend perfectly with the surrounding environment, and the photo effect has a strong Japanese style.
Before taking photos, why not visit Grandpa Doesn't Make Tea, a flower-themed store, to buy this year's new cherry blossom 🌸 products, available in three flavors: Spring Return·Cherry Blossom, Spring Return·Cherry Snow, and Spring Return·Cherry Longan. I tried the Cherry Longan, and with each sip, you can taste the sweetness of the longan fruit, and the fragrant milk tea pairs perfectly with 'Fresh Flowers'. Hurry up and take a photo with the cherry blossoms - my heart, I just can't let go ❤
It's suggested that everyone plan to come to Wuhan to view the cherry blossoms around March 20th. Due to the impact of freezing rain, the blossoms this year are relatively late, so plan your time wisely, Wuhan definitely won't disappoint you!

The garden's pink early cherry blossoms have entered their prime viewing period, and they are truly stunning under the sunlight. It's perfect for a picnic under the cherry trees with some bread, sweets, and friends. 🌸 The petals falling with the breeze are so beautiful.
The early cherry blossoms are concentrated around the entrance of the garden near the ancient-style buildings and the five-story pagoda. There is a large cluster near the children's playground, with a dense arrangement of more than a dozen trees and a small cabin that's perfect for taking portraits and picnicking.

Flower Garden in Wuhan is Amazing♥️🇨🇳
#cherryblossom2024 🌸
🌸 Wow, Wuhan is in full bloom with cherry blossoms! 😍 I didn't expect so many people to come on a weekday to the East Lake Cherry Blossom Garden, especially with the sunny weather! ☀️ If you want to see the cherry blossoms, make sure to prepare well. The road leading to the cherry orchard was blocked for two kilometers, so we ended up getting out of the car in the traffic jam. There were many motorcycles offering rides, but remember to negotiate the price! We spent our last ten yuan just on that, and then we had to walk one kilometer on our own. It was quite crowded, but the beauty of the cherry blossoms made it worth it. 🌸
The Flower Capital sounds amazing too, with tulip displays! When you find a good spot, taking some photos or videos will be so important. The student ticket is 30 yuan, and I highly recommend going on a weekday to avoid the crowds. Enjoy your time there! 🌷🎥

Cherry Blossoms at East Lake Wuhan 🌸🇨🇳♥️
#cherryblossom2024 🌸
Wuhan, cherry blossoms are blooming! I didn't expect so many people to return on weekdays in the East Lake Cherry Blossom Garden, where there were no classes on Tuesday and the sun was shining away!! It is recommended that the precious son who wants to see cherry blossoms prepare well. The road ahead of the cherry orchard was blocked for two kilometers, and we hit the car.
The driver would put us down in the traffic jam, and there were many motorcycles that would attract customers. Remember to cut the price!! We spent the last ten yuan alone, and then returned to the driver's pit where we were excavated halfway before being put down. We ended up walking one kilometer by ourselves, cycling, and there were a lot of people, but it was really beautiful.
The flower capital was blooming well, and there were also tulip skewers. When we got to a good location, it would be very important to produce a piece of film. The student ticket was 30, and we recommend everyone to play on weekdays.

Wuhan | A springtime rendezvous at the East Lake Cherry Blossom Garden
A springtime rendezvous at the East Lake Cherry Blossom Garden is certainly the most important thing to do in spring. 🌸 I came to Wuhan to see the cherry blossoms and visited the East Lake Cherry Blossom Garden. This garden is huge, covering an area of 260 acres, with more than 10,000 cherry trees planted. It is known as one of the world's three major cherry blossom capitals, alongside Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Garden in Aomori Prefecture, Japan, and the Cherry Blossom Garden in Washington State, USA.
-
👉🏻 The garden's architecture is centered around a five-story pagoda, surrounded by lakes, streams, bridges, and pavilions, all adorned with tens of thousands of cherry trees and landscape settings, creating a romantic atmosphere throughout the park.
🔸 Of course, in addition to cherry blossoms, the park also features other flowers such as rapeseed, tulips, and February blues. Moreover, there are large areas of woods, lawns, and a children's playground, making it very suitable for family outings.
—
📍 Address: No. 665, Lumo Road, Wuchang District, Wuhan
🕘 Business Hours: 07:30-21:00
🚌 Bus Strategy: Take bus No. 401, 402, or 413 and get off at the 'Lumo Road Moshan' stop, then walk 400 meters to reach the destination.

Moreover, the Somei Yoshino cherry trees in Donghu Cherry Blossom Garden are about to bloom, with the peak viewing period expected around the 20th. For tourists from afar or those who visit only once, it is recommended to wait a little longer to enjoy a more complete cherry blossom scene.
Want to take pictures with fewer people and better scenery? Then remember to enter the garden early and head straight to the Danish Garden, an ideal spot for photography. Of course, Xun Cherry Blossom Stream and other areas are also worth exploring, with each corner hiding its own surprises.

The Beautiful East Lake Cherry Blossom Garden.
March is the popular season for visiting Wuhan, as the cherry blossoms are particularly beautiful in the early spring. East Lake is the top choice for visitors, who can either purchase tickets online in advance for convenience or join a day tour for a worry-free experience. It is recommended to use public buses or the subway for transportation, as the park is quite large and can take half a day to enjoy. Among the cherry blossoms, I have a preference for the wild Yoshino cherries, which are white and look very beautiful against the backdrop of pavilions. After the visit, you can also stop by Wuhan University, which is another popular spot for cherry blossom viewing.

Waking up at 5:30 in the morning just to enjoy the cherry blossoms at Donghu Lake alone
🎉I visit Donghu Cherry Garden several times every year, and this year I also got up early to see the cherry blossoms😆. The joy of arriving early is being able to enjoy a sea of flowers by myself, avoiding the crowds and congestion👏👏.
The pink early cherry blossoms in the garden have entered their prime viewing period😍, and they are super beautiful under the sunlight🤗. Bring some bread and desserts, and have a picnic with friends under the cherry trees🧺, 🌸 petals falling with the wind, it's just too picturesque😘😘.
📍The early cherry blossoms are concentrated around the ancient-style buildings and the five-story pagoda at the entrance of the cherry garden, with a large cluster near the children's playground, very dense with more than a dozen trees, and there's also a small cabin, very suitable for taking portraits and picnicking📷.
🕙Early Cherry Blossom Season: Early March
🕙Somei Yoshino Cherry: Mid to late March
🕙Late Cherry: End of March - Early April
🏠Donghu Cherry Blossom Garden (No. 665, Lumo Road, Donghu Scenic Area)
🚗Accessible by self-driving or buses 401, 413, 402 (avoid peak hours, it gets more congested in the afternoon)
💰Admission: 60 yuan (flower viewing joint ticket 100 yuan, valid with Plum Garden and Peony Garden, requires a 1-inch photo)
📝Here are some tips to avoid the crowd and get good photos:
1⃣If possible, bring a stool, it will be much cleaner🪑.
2⃣Try to go as early as possible, there's basically no one around by 7 am😜.
3⃣Crouch down to shoot the model from a low angle, avoiding the crowd🤳.
4⃣Use a telephoto lens for close-up half-body shots📷.
5⃣Use horizontal composition to avoid people in the background🤷.

Freshly released Sakura live report from Wuhan, night Sakura next level
Freshly released, Sakura live report🌸 Wuhan night Sakura next level❗️|||Guys, the Sakura live report I promised you is here, I specially went to see the Sakura at night🌸
The good news is that it only rained a little today☔️ so not many Sakura fell, and there are still a lot of Sakura to enjoy. Moreover, the next four days are going to be sunny, so you can continue to enjoy them❗️ It might be too late for the Qingming festival, so those who plan to come should arrange their trips soon📝
Recommended Sakura viewing spots:
1️⃣ The night Sakura in the picture, Qingchuan Holiday Hotel, where there are still many flowers, and the scenery is quite amazing. You can enjoy the view of the Tortoise Mountain TV Tower, Qingchuan Pavilion, Yellow Crane Tower, Wuhan night view, and the Yangtze River Bridge❗️ However, please note that you can enter for free before 10 am, but after 10 am, you need to make a purchase. But enjoying afternoon tea under the Sakura trees should be very romantic💗
2️⃣ Wangjiadun Park, I haven't had the chance to go yet, but there should still be Sakura. If I have time tomorrow, I plan to take a look.
3️⃣ Xibeihu Square, most of the Sakura have fallen, so it's not recommended to go there anymore. There are not many Sakura left at Wuhan University either.
4️⃣ East Lake Sakura Garden, from the photos posted by others, there are still a lot of Sakura. Admission is required, and it's recommended to go and enjoy, as well as to visit East Lake. But be sure to set off early to avoid traffic jams. I have summarized a detailed guide before❗️ In summary, recommended spots include: Qingchuan Holiday Hotel, East Lake Sakura Garden, Wangjiadun Park.
Further away there is the Jiangxia Youth Village Sakura Garden, which is free and also very beautiful with many Sakura still in bloom. However, the transportation is not very convenient, so everyone should choose according to their own situation. You can also check out other people's live reports.

Come to Wuhan to see the cherry blossoms in spring
The best place to witness the beauty of Wuhan's cherry blossoms is none other than the East Lake Cherry Garden.
Located in the East Lake Scenic Area of Wuchang District in Wuhan, covering an area of about 150 acres, it is one of the largest cherry blossom viewing bases in Wuhan. From late March to early April each year, the cherry blossoms here bloom vigorously, attracting tens of thousands of tourists to come and enjoy.
Walking into the cherry garden is like entering a pink fairy tale world. The trees are full of blossoms, the delicate petals sway gently in the breeze, emitting a faint fragrance that intoxicates the visitors. Strolling along the path, you can see cherry blossoms of different varieties competing for beauty on the branches, with pink, white, and red colors, dazzling and overwhelmingly beautiful. In addition to the splendid cherry blossoms, there is also the majestic Yellow Crane Tower. Standing in front of the Yellow Crane Tower, I seem to hear the chanting of the ancients and feel the weight of history. Each brick and tile on the tower tells a story, immersing people in its cultural heritage involuntarily.

The must-visit cherry blossom viewing spot in spring, Wuhan East Lake Cherry Blossom Garden, is too beautiful during the peak blooming period
After a year-long wait, the cherry blossom appointment has returned with the spring breeze and warm sun. More than 200 early cherry trees in Wuhan's East Lake Cherry Blossom Garden have bloomed one after another, with varieties including Yunnan early cherry, Hatsubeni, Feihan cherry, Sunshine cherry, etc. The peak blooming period will last from mid-March to early April.
Every March, East Lake Cherry Blossom Garden attracts tourists from all over the country. Since 1979, when Deng Yingchao, the wife of Premier Zhou Enlai, donated 78 cherry trees to East Lake, over forty years of cultivation have passed, and the garden renews itself annually, becoming increasingly renowned and hailed as one of the top three cherry blossom viewing spots in the world.
Nowadays, East Lake Cherry Blossom Garden covers an area of 520 acres, with 60 varieties and more than 10,000 cherry trees planted, including over 80 excellent cherry blossom varieties such as Somei Yoshino, Sekiyama cherry, Yae-beni-shidare, and Yujin shidare, as well as two rare green cherry varieties in China, Ukon and Gyokuyou. Additionally, tulips, hyacinths, and other flower species are interspersed among the cherry blossoms, giving the garden a richer palette of colors. Here, you can see the majestic 'Chinese-style gate building', the quaint 'Curved Courtyard Cherry Charm', the rugged 'Stream', and other various landscapes.
This year, East Lake Cherry Blossom Garden will be upgraded again, with the construction of a three-dimensional cherry blossom viewing aerial walkway in the garden. Climbing the walkway provides a multi-level, multi-dimensional cherry blossom viewing experience. At the same time, on the opening day of the garden, the night cherry blossom viewing mode will be activated. During the day, visitors can enjoy cherry blossoms and watch plays, while at night, more than 9,000 sets of lights outline the dynamic contours of ancient buildings, bringing the cherry blossom viewing atmosphere to its peak.
