Xinxiang Taihang Guanshan Geological Park in Henan
The early summer weather in May is unpredictable, sometimes hot and sometimes cool. So, on a weekend, my girlfriend and I went to Guanshan National Geological Park, located in the Taihang Mountains of Huixian City, Xinxiang. The location is easy to find, with the entrance right next to the parking lot. However, you have to take a shuttle bus to reach halfway up the mountain, or you can choose not to ride and climb all the way up. There are two routes from halfway up the mountain: one is to continue upwards, and the other is to descend from there. Of course, my silly wife and I chose to go down. We walked and stopped along the way, weaving through the mountains of Taihang, with trees providing shade, cool breezes, and the sound of flowing water. It took about three hours to walk from halfway up the mountain to the entrance at the foot of the mountain. It's a great place, not crowded, with nice scenery, and definitely worth a visit!!

Guan Guan is sad, but Guan Guan gets through! I encountered a different spring in the Guan Mountains
Guan Guan is sad, but Guan Guan gets through! I encountered a different spring in the Guan Mountains. Located in Shangbali Town, Huixian City, Xinxiang City, Henan Province, Guanshan National Geopark is a unique scenic line of the southern Taihang Mountains. The passes here are steep and seem impregnable, as if 'one man guards the pass, and ten thousand are unable to open it,' hence the name Guanshan, which also became a military stronghold in history.
My journey to Guanshan began with the first ray of sunlight in the early morning. Taking the first bus, I slowly entered as if traveling through time and space to an ancient and mysterious world. After an hour's drive, I stood at the foot of Tianzhu Peak, looking up to see the steep mountains and the majestic atmosphere.
Climbing up the stairway, I passed through the stone forest and the ancient Yu-Jin trail. Every step seemed to tread on the pulse of history, feeling the vicissitudes of time. Half an hour later, I stood on the summit of Tianzhu Peak, overlooking the grand canyon below, and a surge of pride welled up in my heart.
Next, I arrived at the Dongbatou viewing platform. The cement and dirt roads along the way alternated, but the beautiful scenery was never interrupted. The magnificent view of the grand canyon was fully in sight, and the peak known as 'Little Huashan' was even more astonishing. After two hours of hiking, I finally reached the viewing platform, and at that moment, all the fatigue turned into satisfaction and joy.
After descending the mountain, I came to Xiaoyao Garden. This is a paradise of pristine ecology, with tall trees blocking the sun and green moss-covered stones as if telling ancient legends. I carefully passed through the Side Body Gorge, feeling the magical charm of nature.
The undeveloped Lao Long Cave gave me the thrill of adventure. The cave was pitch black, and I held a strong flashlight, carefully exploring this mysterious world. The cave is about 300 meters deep and is the drinking water source for Dongling Village. I marveled at the magic and greatness of nature.
Coming out of Lao Long Cave, I continued to descend the mountain towards Dongling Village. The villagers here were warm and hospitable, making me feel the warmth of home. Then, I followed the mountain road to the secluded Hongshi Gorge, admiring the beautiful natural scenery along the way. After entering Hongshi Gorge, I felt as if I was in a paradise, with the stream babbling, surrounded by mountains, and stunningly beautiful.
Finally, I came to Bailong Pool and Bailong Waterfall. The waterfall has a drop of over a hundred meters, with a deafening sound, and the pool is so deep that its bottom cannot be seen. Standing beside a huge rock, I felt the grandeur and power of nature. Then, I followed the mountain road towards Haohan Slope to descend the mountain, ending this unforgettable journey to Guanshan.

🎑🎑 The Yixiantian in GuanShan is about one meter wide. When you look up, you can only see one meter of sky and enjoy one meter of sunshine, so it is also called 'One Meter Sunshine'. The cliffs on both sides expose the stratification and interlayer structure of the mountain, walking along the cliff plank road, it's like stepping into a historical corridor reflecting geological evolution, opening a treasure chest of geological relics.
