📍Yongdami-dong, Jeju-si, Jeju-do, South Korea
Yongyeon Pond is one of the tourist attractions in Jeju near Jeju City. With the valley cliff surrounding the pond together with the Yongyeon Cloud Bridge, the whole place simply looks amazing when seen up close, just like a beautiful nature scenery wallpaper you see online. The bare autumn trees adds to the overall beauty and looks great together too 😍.
There's also a legend about how Yongyeon pond was formed. While a dragon was flying upwards towards heaven, water rained down off the dragon. Thus, comes the name Yongyeon pond which also means Dragon pond.
The pond is also one of the stops for the Jeju City bus tour. Do add this in your itinerary if you're in Jeju.

Jeju Island · Yongyeon Pond with its Azure Reflections
Yongyeon is located near Yongduam Rock by the seaside of Jeju City, where the waters of the Hancheon River meet the sea. It is also the legendary resting place of the Dragon King of the Eastern Sea when he patrols Jeju Island. A 50-meter-long, 1.5-meter-wide steel cable-stayed bridge spans the two banks of the Hancheon River, becoming the iconic structure of Yongyeon. 300 meters north of the bridge is the estuary of the Hancheon River, where the river channel gradually widens from the inside out, and the river surface becomes increasingly rough. At the confluence of the river mouth and the sea, white waves soar and spray splashes, creating a magnificent spectacle.
