I discovered a lesser-known guide to the sea in Dalian~
Dalian is really a worthwhile coastal city
Not only seagulls, pigeons, sika deer, historical buildings, etc.
There are also roads to the sea and seaside plank roads that are very healing
Watching the sunrise and sunset by the sea is really romantic
·

3️⃣Lingjiao Bay: European-style buildings facing the Fisherman's Wharf
4️⃣Xinghai Bay Cross-sea Bridge: It is a good place to watch the sunset
5️⃣Tiger Beach: The seaside dam, a viewing platform with a sense of hierarchy

The sisters have arrived in Europe, just like Dalian!! (With guide)
Dalian in winter is really too beautiful! Although I didn't see heavy snow
but the sunset by the sea is really beautiful!! The scenery is not inferior to foreign countries!
·
Day 1️⃣
Zhongshan Square—Russian Style Street—Nanshan Road—Donggang—Oriental Water City
If you have enough time in the morning, you can also go to Songyun Temple
Day 2️⃣
Cross-sea Bridge—Zoo—Silver Beach—Fujiazhuang Park
The zoo can be visited or not, because I want to see pandas, so I arranged it. In summer, the zoo can be replaced with Haida cable car, at the Lotus Mountain viewing platform, the sea view is very beautiful
Day 3️⃣
Sea Rhyme—201 Tram-Fisherman's Wharf—Lingjiao Bay
Sea Rhyme and Bangchui Island are next to each other, you need physical strength to play~ We chose Sea Rhyme, took a taxi to the south gate, took a sightseeing car to the Rising Sun Square-check in at the Morning Beach
Then exit the north gate to reach the Sea Rhyme bus station and take the tram, there are three stations🆓
Day 4️⃣
Tower Bay—Black Reef Park—Xinghai Square
🏠: Stay near Xinghai Square, it is very convenient to travel,
or Zhongshan Road, there are more places to eat
·
Dalian is very beautiful! Come again when it's warmer!!

Dalian Travel Guide Summary
1. If you want to have a comprehensive visit to Dalian, 3-5 days should be enough. The main attractions include: Xinghai Square, Cross-sea Bridge, Silver Beach, Fujiazhuang, Beida Bridge, Lianjiao Bay, Tiger Beach Polar Pavilion, Fisherman's Wharf, Bangchui Island, Sea Rhyme, Donggang, Zhongshan Square, People's Square (these attractions are also connected in a route); then there are Nanshan Style Street, Sculpture Park, Qixianling, General Stone, Jinshitan, Lushun Sun Valley and other places, but these are relatively scattered.
2. Having a car in Dalian would be much more convenient because the attractions are mainly along the coast. The Cross-sea Bridge to Binhai Road is about 40 kilometers long, and it's all mountain roads with little public transport and difficult to hail a taxi. Not having a car can be troublesome, and places like Lushun and Jinshitan are far from the city center. It's even more difficult to see the fluorescent sea at night without a car (so those who want to rent a car can contact me, cough cough).
3. For accommodation, I highly recommend the area around Zhongshan Square for its variety of food, good environment, and convenient transportation. For sea views, Xinghai Square and Donggang are recommended, where there are more upscale hotels with higher prices. College students looking for cost-effectiveness can consider the Xi'an Road business district or the South China business district, which are relatively cheaper with more food options and a younger crowd, and convenient transportation.
4. For hotels, try to choose regular chain hotels or above. They are not that expensive outside of holidays. I don't know much about homestays, but in my opinion, the biggest advantage of homestays is that you can go to the market to buy some seafood and cook it yourself, which is economical.
5. No one speaks ill of Dalian's seafood, but May 1st to August 31st is the fishing off-season. There is still a lot of seafood now, but most of it is farmed. The sea opens in September, and that's when the seafood is the best.
6. There are not many snacks in Dalian, other than seafood and stewed dishes. I don't remember anything particularly special. For snack streets, I recommend going to Jiaotong University Night Market in the evening, and during the day you can go to the snack street on the underground level of Central Avenue, which is basically safe. Dashui Night Market and Development Zone Night Market are a bit hard to describe. For restaurants, just search online for ratings; those with high ratings are basically safe. I especially recommend Dalian traditional dishes and barbecue.
7. I do not recommend going to Russian Style Street and Tianjin Street, as you may be disappointed.
8. For friends who like photography, I recommend a few check-in sanctuaries: Silver Beach (especially at sunset), streetside of Zhongshan Square, Lianjiao Bay, Nanshan Style Street, Xinghai Square's giant book sculpture, Sculpture Park, General Stone (although I am an amateur photography enthusiast, I think my photos are better than those I used to pay for in scenic spots. Passengers say chartering a car is 500, and 450 is for the photography fee, haha, but I won't post people's photos here. If you want to take photos, you can contact me, and I can send you a few that I took before. Locals who want to arrange a photo shoot can also contact me).
9. Dalian does not have much nightlife, only Democracy Square is relatively lively at night.
10. If you want to buy local products, I now suggest buying cherries. It's recommended to buy them at the market, and I usually like to buy some freshly baked squid strips/fish slices, etc. I do not recommend buying pre-packaged ones.

I thought Harbin was already beautiful enough, until I came to Dalian!!
This is my third time coming to Dalian
Every time I come to Dalian, I have different feelings. The last time I came to Dalian was in the summer
When it's 38 degrees elsewhere, Dalian is 28 degrees with blue skies and clear seas, a city with its own filter~
Dalian's architecture is very distinctive due to historical reasons. It is one of the few cities in China that has both sea and snow in winter, so Dalian's romance is also a gift from heaven
If you come to the Northeast for a visit, consider coming to this 'Romantic Capital of China' - the beautiful Dalian
Travel Tips
Feel the evening breeze where the mountains meet the sea at Amber Bay
Stroll through the European-style district at Fisherman's Wharf and watch the fishermen's lights
Make friends with sika deer at Binhai Road and White Cloud Mountain Park
Visit Donggang to see the frozen walkways
Experience the retro prosperity of being the 'eldest son' at Zhongshan Square
Roam the exotic waterways of Venice Water City and gaze at the European-style ancient castle from Lingjiao Bay
Feel the sea breeze and feed the Siberian seagulls at Xinghai Square
Wander the artistic alleys of Nanshan Scenic Street
Sink into the neon of the 'City of Music' at Dalian Sightseeing Tower

Dalian | Zhongshan Square Architectural Heritage - Zhengjin Bank
Built in 1909, the Dalian branch of Yokohama Zhengjin Bank was designed by Japanese designers Tsumaki Yorinaka and Ota Takeshi, and was built under the supervision of Mitsuye Trading Company, Japan. It has a late Renaissance architectural style and absorbs the characteristics of Byzantine architecture.
It has two floors above ground, three floors in some parts, one floor underground, reinforced concrete structure, the building plan is approximately trapezoidal, the building area is 2804 square meters, the height is about 18.6 meters, and the main entrance faces south.
The facade of the building is divided into five sections, the window lintels are made into broken mountain flowers, the three green round domes on the roofs of the center and both ends are uniquely shaped and innovatively designed.
After 1945, it was taken over by the Soviet army and changed to the Dalian branch of the Soviet Far East Bank. It ceased operations in 1951.
It is a cultural relic protection unit in Liaoning Province. It is now the business department of the Bank of China Liaoning Branch.
