The historic homestay has classical and classic interior furnishings. After check-in, you can freely use the living room and dining room. The breakfast is not large, but the variety is rich. The owner personally serves breakfast and talks warmly.
Nearby the ferry. Large rooms. Lots of space in the building (former school). Children playground indoors. Good bar and the food as nice too. Try the fried pickles and the hamburger, homemade and super tasty. Slept well in comfortable beds. Overall all good, would stay again
Although the exact location wasn't displayed, it was easy to find and turned out to be a two-bedroom apartment right by Rocky Harbour, perfect for watching the sunset. If you're planning to see the lighthouse in Lobster Cove, I highly recommend this place. I once stayed at a B&B near Lobster Cove, about 1km away, but its conditions couldn't compare, and it was several hundred dollars more expensive.

This place was really cool. It was a school turned into a Motel units. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The room we had slept eight people. It was huge. It felt like home.
Lots of parking
Two couples and motorcycles is what we were and the accommodations were perfect
Beautiful Trail, that led to an awesome sunset as you can see in the picture
The location is very good and the service is average. When I booked the room, I said it was a sea view room, and I went to a room with a garden community. I don't want to change one. There is no breakfast, which is very inconvenient. The price of the room is the most expensive for me to travel to the East. Heartache 😣😣😣😣 My money 💰💰!

AAmy156The hotel is beautiful. Amazing room and no hassle with check-in and check-out. The room I initially had was on a lower floor and unfortunately I could hear the person above me walking and that was disturbing. The hotel wasted no minutes to move me to an upper room when I reached out to them, so 10/10. The bath, room and bedding were amazing.
Few issues:
1)There is not enough lighting in the room, and at night, it’s difficult if you need to do something and require lights. There are only nightstands, no main light. The windows are small. See picture.
2) For the price I paid, I was expecting a decent breakfast. The breakfast provided was insulting. Cold croissants, chocolate blueberry and lemon muffins, instant oat, hot water, coffee and juice, banana, apple. For the price you pay per night, you will at least expect some hot food. Even one to two-stars motels in Canada provide toast, butter, and eggs. There was not even toast, or milk! You need to use numerous small milk pods to make your oats or coffee, which is a plastic waste. That was disappointing and I understand the hotel wants to save expenses and be more profitable, but I guess it’s business.
3) There is no gym, not even a treadmill.
4) The escalator does not go to the fourth floor, but no big deal.
In saying so, the hotel is located in downtown, where all food places and bars are, so location wise it’s a win.
If you do not have to stay in downtown, and want a hotel with amenities, there are better options in St John’s. One recommendation would be I H G ones.
SSwitySweetsBeautiful view.all facilities are clean especially the restaurant area the server was indeed a good employee.he was so approachable and could handle lots of guests very well. The front office person as well is accommodating and friendly
JJason BogartFor the money, there should be a lot more. The front desk check in was friendly but not informative at all. It was just take your key and off you go. I had to go back 3 times to get more information about wifi PW etc. For a lodge next to the hill, there is little to do. They should be providing opportunities to rent a bike or go for more than a 10min hike to a waterfall. Pretty and all, but virtually nothing to do there. So don't expect it. There was a water boiling advisory and I asked about water and the front desk said there was water bottles in the room, but there wasn't, so I had to go back to the fron desk and bring them back myself. Kinda annoying.
KKrzysztofReception not very cooperative when trying to exted stay. Informed that all rooms are boked. We extended twice on Internet! We asked for upper floor and were told that all rooms on upper floors have only one bed which of cause was not truth. The rest was OK.
SShengandiaokeyuanyingThe breakfast was average and the room was very big. The location was not very convenient if you don't have a car. There is a convenience store in the lobby, and you can buy pre-made lunch boxes and heat them up for dinner. The driver who sent me to the airport had a very good service attitude.
RRoaming DogAs there are not many hotel choices in Stephenville, this hotel was a nice surprise since they don’t have much competition. It was as expected from the Days Inn chain, nice big room and clean and the aircon worked smoothly. The only issue was that the water pressure was quite low and the hot water took forever to come. The price point is quite high for this type of hotel but as I stated before, there are not many options and there is no competition. Also breakfast was not included in the price. I would stay at this hotel again but not at this price point
Kkimyap11a lovely place to stay in st. johns for a few days. ample free parking but you need to walk a number of steps to access the lobby or your room. the rooms are large and clean. we took the signal hill room and it was conveniently located near the entrance. security is good as you require pin numbers to open the doors. comes with breakfast and the food was fantastic. each day a different menu. the service was impeccable. would definitely recommend. thank you.
p.s. no shops in the vicinity of the hotel so a car is essential.
GGuest UserSo now it's becoming common practice to clean the rooms every second day? Not too long ago that was optional. So what happens when you only get two cups of coffee for your 3-day rental? I get frustrated that I have to participate more in a business to help them run and accept less service. Sorry that I'm venting but I just don't feel it's adequate. This is a Marriott Hotel, once upon a time that was something I felt was prestigious. I would recommend booking your Marriott on your bon voy account.
