Jiaoxi Station Area/Jiaoxi Hot Spring
First of all, this is a very old hotel that has seen truly better days. While maintained well, it has retained it's original furnishings and decor from the 1980s and 1990s. Staying here reminded me of my childhood travelling with my family in the 80s. The actual room does not look anything like the ones shown on the website. The hard floors mean you should wear their slippers or bring your own room slippers. The hot spring water advertised is just hot spring water pipes that go into your bathtub. There is a step that emulates hot spa step in the bathtub. The breakfast was good with nice braised meat and eggs that you can put over your rice or porridge. There's also hot soy milk. But no hot tea, only coffee. The staff look tired but hard working. There was a grumpy older lady receiptionist when we checked in and she was pretty rough in the check in process. E.g. ”if you don't put a number here, and you leave things in the hotel, we'll just throw them away! Just to tell you first.” Room was quite small or cosy, depending on your perspective. The only thing new was the air-conditioner. The TV set had all the settings for channels but none worked. Internet wifi was not quite working too.

Zhongxiao Dunhua Commercial Area
I chose a room with separate bath. The bath is not a Western-style bath that you can lie in. It’s square shaped and about four feet wide and long. You can sit in it, but you can’t recline in it if this is something you’re looking for. The hotel offers an outstanding breakfast at the Tavernist. Breakfast here is easily more delicious than at more expensive hotels. Even the coffee was great. Breakfast is a la carte rather than buffet but the servings are perhaps even excessively generous. The hotel location is also very good. I wasn’t that familiar with Taipei when I booked but the location turned out to be convenient. It’s a few minutes walk to Zhongxiao Fuxing station, which can take travelers to a few tourist spots, and about a twenty minute walk to Huashan Creative Park. There are Japanese-style department stores with restaurants in the basements and upper floors in addition to local cafes and restaurants.

I loved my stay at Slack BnB. It is easy to find in the village. The facilities are very clean, everything is well-planned and guests have a lot of opportunities to rest. Very cosy Dorms with built-in Beds, which have a good quality. The guests are very respectful and quiet. There is a kitchen to provide food, slacklines in the garden, lots of space to hang out and a Beamer where you can watch YouTube etc. The staff is very motivated to keep everything clean, this can be seen in various facets. The staff and the owner are so helpful which I appreciated much. I can definitely recommend this hostel to everybody when visiting the island.

The service from the staff was very good & perlite. The place is clean & has free drinks & snack at the lobby. Breakfast was good & nice. There is a night market but only operated on weekend. It’s the cheapest place to stay.

The room is too expensive. It is not worth it. The old house is remodeled and it is too boring. This is a general homestay that costs 3,200 yuan. It is really not worth it. Please think twice.

Cingjing Farm
I really can’t bear to leave when I have to leave for two nights. This superb Japanese-compatible Aboriginal-style homestay can feel the operator’s intentions from the first step in. The public spaces including the hall and garden design and decoration are all ingenious. Beautiful. The room facilities are also very complete in terms of people, providing a good and comfortable resting place. The breakfast is even more amazing. The organic ingredients are carefully prepared. The delicious cucumbers, bergamots, vegetable foods, Angelica soup, salad, hot porridge, small steamed buns are all memorable. The operator is more enthusiastic and friendly Good, let the tenants really feel at home, to Qingjing many times, this five-star homestay is really far more than many higher-priced homestays or restaurants!

Chihpen Hot Springs
A very good accommodation experience. This is my second stay and I got a discount on the weekend! Book now. This time I stayed in a landscape house, which turned out to be facing the stream! Feel very comfortable! The room is quite large, with wet and dry bathrooms separated and a regular bathtub. Amenities, water, coffee and tea are provided in the room, as well as slippers and bathrobes. The breakfast options are also quite diverse, and there are many foreign waiters, which is of good quality.

The TV is very old and you can come if you like it. The room is clean but the equipment is really old and a little magical. Next to Tiehua Village, the location is very good. You can also walk to Zhengqi Night Market
