Stayed in Room 265 near the elevator area and unfortunately the noise insulation was very poor. The fire door beside the lift slammed loudly throughout the night whenever guests passed by, making it almost impossible to sleep. The hotel should really install soft-closing hinges to reduce the noise for nearby rooms.
I originally booked with *********** at cost of £158 , as I use this app for train journeys, I looked for the same hotel and it was £118
As you drive into the hotel massive reception room plenty of chairs to chill or have a drink , we where meet with a warm smile from the receptionist, and explained everything
The rooms are big very clean , we eat in the restaurant very average price for decent food , but service charge was high
Only downside is you have to pay parking for your stay
I live in a town so this was perfect for me. I arrived and was welcomed at reception by Chloe. She was amazing, happy, welcoming, chatty, down to Earth which was brilliant. The residents bar was lovely and quaint.Yes its an old style hotel but I love the old style seafront hotels, the decor in my room was abit too much(covered in parrots haha) but that was minor. The room itself was spacious for me,had everything it needed, was perfect for my stay. The bar they have in the basement, well what a night that was. Being served by Connor, and joining my new American friends who also stayed at the hotel,we had an absolute ball. Few too many but lovely cocktails and happy hour,I will say it was a hit aha. I don't have any faults at all with this hotel,it's cheap, cheerful and is perfect where it is overlooking the sea.No curfew coming in,free WiFi,very helpful when it came to asking for information. Couldn't of asked for a happier, more comforting hotel. I would recommend this hotel,a perfect old style seafront hotel,a view to dream about, everything within walking distance, amazing hospitality and care for the residents staying, and for what it costs,it most definately holds its value. Definately somewhere I would stay again xxx
Hi. I stay in the King Charles hotel every week and believe it to be the best accommodation in the area in terms of value for money and room comfort by a long way. The rooms are warm, and clean, as are the showers. The breakfast is tasty with super service and the reception and bar staff are all friendly and helpful. Car parking is also generally fairly easily. All good, a home from from home. Thankyou King Charles hotel.
The room was a huge improvement on the one we previously had. That was ok but tired. Everything was good except for the pillows they were very poor. The bedding wasn’t to my taste but that’s just a personal preference
Booked to stay here over half term with my daughter for a couple of nights - had a cosy room which was just right for the two of us.
Front reception staff were really kind and helpful.
Breakfast was lovely - the lady there was so nice and although was busy as she was on her own, she was always smiling.
We dined in the restaurant one of the evenings - food was delicious but the heating wasn’t working on that floor so the whole room was cold. Bar / restaurant staff were really nice.
Overall, we had a lovely stay and we would recommend this hotel to friends and family.
Definitely highly recommended : tucked away and yet near amenities (large Tesco, Mc Donald’s and large selection of other food options from Uber). There is also a restaurant within the hotel - nice menu.
Hotel itself is spotless all around (smells nice). Effortless check in and check out. The reception staff was very welcoming and helpful. The room was larger than expected. String WiFi signal throughout. Breakfast was delicious. Pet friendly (£30 per pet). Ample parking but not free (unless included in room).
The room was clean and tidy, the tree was shaded outside the window, the environment was beautiful, there were several set menu options for breakfast, the chef made it now, other coffee, tea, bread and fruit buffet.
Great location, lovely walk around the lake and nearby woodlands. Staff are friendly and service is good. Rooms are outdated and could do with a lot of modernisation, unfortunately, is not even on par with some travelodges. Walls are hollow so can hear noise and voices from neighbouring rooms. Rooms are not sparkling clean, you will get what is expected of a 3 star hotel. Breakfast is just ok. Overall, if you’re looking for a stopover for the night and want to wake up to beautiful views then definitely book a room with a view and not the standard room which may end up overlooking the A2. We did however, book a lakeside room that was allocated on the second floor and the view was very nice indeed.

CChris J HornWhat an amazing hidden gem this is. Nestled on a hill top overlooking the marshes with Warehorn church over the road, this pub with rooms is a must for a romantic get away.
We arrived early and had a drink in the bar, which is beautifully quirky, a welcoming log fire burning and a wide selection of drinks.
We had booked ”Niddy” an attic room with so much to give, a comfy bed, roll top bath, and so much character.
The only ****** I had with the room, was the W.C squeezed into the roof space it was a little awkward to stand up and wee, but that's a small thing when it comes to such a great room.
Requesting a quiet table for dinner, we were given one in a side area and again we couldn't believe it, it was super romantic and we had the whole room to ourselves. Our waiter Muli was so good, he was attentive but not intruding, and so funny, we haven't had many meals out and he really did make the evening.
The food was excellent and the vegan burger was one of the best I have had.
The location was brilliant, if you're into walking, cycling, birdwatching or wanting to visit local sites (rye was only 20min drive away)
The rest of the staff were also brilliant, and couldn't do enough for us.
We will definitely return.

GGuest UserSpent a two night Spa break with my daughter, we had an amazing time, sooo relaxing. The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive to our needs. Breakfast and evening meal was delicious. Booked a Hot Stone Massage, our first time ! very enjoyable. Have been before but have only stayed for one night, certainly luxury for two nights.
