AAkinoriThe female owner's hospitality was excellent, and we had a wonderful stay. She gave us information about local sightseeing spots, and when we told her we were going to Kandy next, she also shared some of the highlights there, making this a fond memory of our trip to Sri Lanka.
We got caught in the rain while sightseeing in Ella, and when we arrived at the inn soaking wet, the warm Ceylon tea she had prepared for us was delicious and comforting. It was a perfect stay without any complaints, and we'll come again.
CCamHoneyGreat hotel, with unbeatable view of Ella rock on the balcony. However the room did not have universal plug sockets, the hotel provided a hairdryer but did not fit the plug socket. It is also very difficult to get to with suitcases. Fine if you’re backpacking, but carrying suitcases up the massive hill is very difficult. Perhaps the hotel should look into purchasing their own tuktuk to ferry customers up and down the hill. Not everyone is a backpacker!
MMishel91Very good place to stay with awesome views. The staff took great care off us. Only downside to gaving good views the location is quite far from the city centre. So pick me and uber drivers won't take any rides since the app prices are way cheaper so no choice but to pay tourist fares. Room as an electric fan but AC would have been nice.
GGuest UserThe train view chalet is a very special hotel managed by a very friendly and helpful staff. We spent Christmas there and it was quite special, maybe a 20 min ride away from Ella rock/Adams peak/nine arch bridge but it was quite relaxing within the nature, tea plantations, and the train above our heads! Not noisy at all, just unique and beautiful. A must have experience if in Ella. Many upgrades to come for this hotel after speaking to management so it will for sure be better and better :) Thank you!!!
