Advantages: 1. Famous landmark, symbol of Huzhou, light show 2. Lake view from the room 3. Stunning service, butler Lucy is great! And everyone in this hotel is super nice and helpful, doing their best job! The staff is real luxury in this place. 4. Hot springs (many choices, clean) 5. Decent breakfast (a real honeycomb, cheese selection , grilled chicken, they even prepared egg Benedict for us) Disadvantages: 1. It’s really old and you can feel it-outdated “tired” furniture, decorations, dirty carpets 2. Odour in the room (“aged” smoke) 3. Ridiculous prices for 7-eleven quality food (ordered room service), the worst Caesar salad I’ve ever tried (although I was reimbursed easily) 4. Some facilities are out of order, like a steam room 5. Dirty pool (the water was not clear, the staff told us that’s because there were too many people) I’d like to thank Lucy and other employees for doing everything they could to make us happy. I still recommend this place for a short stay and experiencing the hot springs.

Excellent stay! The B&B offers free shuttle service to/from Nanxun Ancient Town, and the boat drops you off right at the guesthouse entrance. The owner was super friendly and even helped us with our luggage at the pier. They also treated us to the special Nanxun 'three-course tea' service, which we enjoyed right by the water in front of the guesthouse – so relaxing! The B&B is perfectly situated in the heart of Baijianlou, offering the most beautiful views. My girlfriends and I had a blast taking tons of photos here! Highly recommend.

I wouldn't recommend staying here on weekends or holidays. The hotel is surrounded by traffic restrictions and fences. If you want to leave, you have to wait for a shuttle bus that comes only once every half an hour. If you try to walk, once you start, you can't stop. The hotel's phone service couldn't even explain how to get around or where the restrictions weren't, only telling me to ask the police. It was infuriating to be stuck walking with various tour groups in the scorching heat. The traffic restrictions around West Lake also change daily. If you want to go out, even if you can get a car, you need to budget at least half an hour for waiting. This is because vehicles constantly encounter temporary road restrictions or controls, forcing them to take detours to reach the hotel's shuttle pick-up point, making travel incredibly inefficient. Don't expect much from the hotel's in-house photography service. The entire shoot feels like an assembly line, and the angles and scenery captured have nothing to do with Wangzhuang or West Lake. The so-called 'retouched' photos for 5 yuan each are just automatically generated by some pixel software – perfunctory and shoddy, clearly designed only to push their 1180 yuan package. After we paid extra for double the photos and frames without opting for the expensive package, the photographer immediately gave us dirty looks and still had the audacity to ask for a good review on Ctrip. That said, the hotel environment itself is nice, and I imagine the experience would be much better on weekdays or during the off-season. The internal service is also good; the electric buggies are available on call. However, I can't figure out the room availability. I spent two days with Ctrip's Black Diamond customer service trying to book, with room types appearing and disappearing, leading to endless booking and canceling – it was a huge hassle.

A great place for a weekend getaway! The service was excellent; they even helped us with our luggage to the room. A special thanks to Xiao Dong for their service. We were upgraded to a lake-view room, and the balcony offered a stunning view with quaint bridges and the lake. After settling in, we walked along Nanhu Lake to Nanhu Tiandi for dinner and stumbled upon a bread festival, which was a lovely surprise and we got some great finds. Back at the hotel, we found that turndown service had been provided. The next morning, after breakfast, we headed to Haogu Pagoda. I actually wanted to go there on the first afternoon, but we couldn't find the small back entrance, and neither could several other groups who came looking later. We eventually realized it was blocked by illegally parked cars. I hope the hotel can put up a sign there to explain this. After descending the pagoda, we took another stroll around the hotel grounds to enjoy the garden scenery before leaving. We skipped Yuehe and Zicheng, which were mentioned online, as we had to head back in the afternoon, and having been to Xitang, I didn't feel the need to visit another water town; once a year is enough for me. I actually prefer places like Nanhu Tiandi. Of course, for those with more time, it's worth exploring all these places.

Facilities: Comprehensive Hygiene: Very clean Environment: Excellent Service: Superb Quzhou is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Zhejiang Province. We stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton for a self-driving trip during the National Day holiday. Parking was convenient and free, the service was warm, and the accommodations were comfortable. We were extremely satisfied. The hotel is very close to historical and cultural attractions like Quzhou Ancient City Wall, Shuijingmen Scenic Area, Kong Family Temple of the Southern Branch, and Quzhou Museum. We went exploring in the evening, and the ancient city was bustling with activity – it was fantastic!

The rooms are pretty good. This hotel used to be an apartment building, but now each building has been converted into a different hotel. Sheraton, Blue Bay, and Greentown Resort are all essentially in the same complex, but since they're in different buildings, the views vary. Blue Bay offers great value for money, and breakfast is served communally. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the service and facilities for the price of just over 300 yuan. The hotel's location is also excellent, with many places to rent bikes right outside.

The room was spacious and clean, and the hotel's location was excellent. We could walk to popular attractions like the ancient city and the Ten Thousand Buddha Pagoda. However, there were a few downsides: First, the breakfast selection was quite limited. Second, the night light in the room was too bright, which seriously affected our sleep. Third, when we asked for a few extra bottles of mineral water, we were abruptly told there would be a charge (though they eventually gave them to us for free). Finally, there was no proactive communication from customer service before check-in, nor did anyone reach out to offer assistance via WeChat after we checked in.

Room: The room facilities are a bit dated, but still clean. The only issue with the entire hotel is the high number of Middle Eastern guests, leading to a strong body odor that permeates the rooms. This might be due to consistently hosting this clientele. I'd suggest the housekeeping department open windows more often or use stronger air fresheners during cleaning to eliminate the odor. Hygiene: The hygiene is acceptable. Ambiance: It's clear that the hotel's hardware was a significant investment many years ago, using good materials. As I said, it's starting to show its age a bit. Service: Overall, the hotel's service is quite good. The front desk staff are all very enthusiastic during check-in, and the process is quite efficient. Executive Lounge: It's worth mentioning that their executive lounge's food is excellent. I stayed in a suite with executive lounge access at the Ritz-Carlton in Suzhou a few days ago, and in comparison, the food quality at Shangri-La Yiwu is even better than the Ritz-Carlton Suzhou. The F&B director deserves commendation. Breakfast is very extensive and served in the executive lounge, and the taste is also very good.

Traveling with family, this hotel was beautiful with a strong festive atmosphere, perfect for Chinese New Year. The staff were friendly and polite. Front desk agent Xiao Zhou processed our check-in quickly, and GRO Xiao Yu brought us warm towels. Breakfast was also quite rich and varied. We'd love to come back to beautiful Cixi if we get the chance!

Environment: I visited last month and wanted to come back again this month. The Xihu State Guest Hotel has a special charm that attracts many visitors. Facilities: This time I stayed in Building 8, and the room was more spacious than in Building 2. The layout of the room, including the closet, shower, and toilet, was more rational. The biggest advantage was having a balcony, where I could sit and enjoy tea, listen to the rain, and watch birds – it was very pleasant in April. Service: All the staff were professional and friendly, always ready to help. I ordered in-room dining, and all the cutlery and food were served at the same temperature as in the restaurant. Highly commendable 👍🏻 Cleanliness: The cleaners were enthusiastic and came to tidy up whenever needed. If I needed bottled water or tissues, the robot service was also very convenient. The robot would call the in-room landline ☎️ to notify guests. When I picked up my room card, the robot also guided me to the room (the hotel is very large). First day's local welcome pastry: It had a date on it and was very fresh. It also tasted good. Daily welcome fruit: Different each day, very fresh. The breakfast buffet was very rich, and the lunch was also good. Some dishes were even from the Ziwei Hall menu, which could be enjoyed at the buffet. My stay this time was very pleasant, and I will definitely come back again.
