Booked a suite at the Hilton Jiaxing via Trip.com, and the experience far exceeded my expectations! Upon entering, I was immediately impressed by the expansive space. The living room and bedroom were distinctly zoned, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered a picturesque panorama of the city skyline blending with the serene lake. With the lights on at night, the ambiance was absolutely captivating.
Every detail in the suite showed thoughtful consideration: the bedding was cloud-soft, allowing me to drift off to sleep instantly. The bathroom featured a modern wet/dry separation and an oversized bathtub, perfect for soaking away a day's fatigue. The mini-bar was well-stocked with a great selection of drinks, instantly making it feel like a cozy home away from home.
The service was simply impeccable. Duty Manager Cathy provided a flawless response to all requests. Check-in at the front desk was quick and efficient, and room service was incredibly prompt – when I requested an extra pillow in the evening, it was delivered within minutes.
The breakfast the next day offered a huge variety, with both Chinese and Western options – definitely a must-try!
Whether for a business trip or a family vacation, this place offers a perfect experience. It has already been added to my go-to list for stays in Jiaxing!

The hotel's location is excellent, and the entire decor has a Republican China-era style, which is very elegant and full of atmosphere. The hotel offers a buffet breakfast with a good variety of options. The service is exceptional; they contacted us in advance, provided a free room upgrade, offered shuttle service to and from the parking lot, and waived the parking fee. Makabaka was also very thoughtful and attentive, giving us guidance on touring the scenic area. Overall, we felt very much at home, and I'd definitely recommend it to friends.

Staying at the Shangri-La for work with my parents and child was, as always, an excellent experience. They were very communicative and willing to help and accommodate us. A big thank you to Grace and Dennis! I'll definitely keep choosing Yiwu Shangri-La. Plus, the breakfast was fantastic! It beautifully blended Dongyang and Yiwu local specialties with a very international selection. Loved it! 💕

I had a great stay at the Sheraton in Huzhou, which sits right on the beautiful Taihu Lake. The hotel itself is a major attraction, and every room comes with amazing views and excellent facilities. The villas are especially impressive, each one has its own hot spring and a private swimming pool, which makes the experience even more relaxing. The hot spring area at the hotel is super comfortable, and the night light show is absolutely spectacular. Walking around the lake and around the hotel feels peaceful and enjoyable. A special thanks to Ms. Lucy Liu from the front office. She speaks good English and acted almost like a personal butler during my stay. She helped with everything, planning the hot spring visit, suggesting nearby boating options, and offering support whenever needed. Her kindness really made my stay even better. This hotel is great for solo travelers, couples, and families. Highly recommended!

Stayed for 6 nights from 19 October 2025.
The Good:
- spacious room
- good hot shower (very important to me)
- walking distance to District 2 and Glory Mall. Lots of food choices.
The Bad
- The bathroom has a clear glass panel which looks into the bedroom. I had enquired at the Front Desk and via ”At Your Service” phone button at least 3 times whether they could do something for privacy as I was sharing room with my son. The staff told me that they could sent someone to install curtains. Subsequently, a man turned up and passed me a folded bedsheet. He said it was for me to cover the glass panel. I asked how I was to do it without any tools - ladder, hooks etc !!! He replied past guests had given same feedback but Management did nothing. He said that his colleague had tried taping up the bedsheet but it soon dropped due to weight! I called the ”At Your Service” again, this time a guy said he would get back if there's a room with full privacy. Instead, the same man returned with the bedsheet again! Please understand that for twin sharing, having privacy is very important.
- not enough hooks in the bathroom to hang up towel to dry and clothes for changing. Had to drape over the bathtub.
- I had booked a room with 2 single bed but was checked into a room with King bed. I called the Front Desk and a lady told me that I booked for a King bed. I said that I had printout to prove that I booked 2 single. Eventually, she returned call and informed that they would change our room in the morning, which was duly done.

Fantastic, excellent service and food.
**Positive Review (Focus on Experience & Features)**
This trip to Shangri-La was truly perfect, genuinely embodying the essence of a 'hidden paradise'. The hotel masterfully blends ******* charm with modern luxury. The lotus pond and 'Nine Heavens' display immediately visible upon entry create a highly ceremonial atmosphere. The staff were consistently warm and attentive, proactively recommending local tours. The buffet breakfast offered a rich variety, balancing international flavors with ******* specialties. The heated pool and sauna in the wellness center erased all travel fatigue. Special activities like praying at Baiji Temple and ******* cuisine tasting added unforgettable memories. It's truly a quality choice that has won numerous luxury hotel awards.
**Business Travel Review (Focus on Practicality & Efficiency)**
As a top choice for business travel, Shangri-La Hotel's professionalism far exceeded expectations. The hotel is located in the core downtown area, offering convenient transportation yet a quiet environment. The conference rooms are fully equipped, and the network is stable, allowing for efficient video conferences and business discussions. The guest rooms are spacious and clean, with a well-arranged work area, full-signal free WiFi, complemented by business amenities like a safe and laundry service, making work worry-free. For dining, in addition to a balanced buffet breakfast, one can experience the authentic flavors of Auntie's Home Kitchen, and room service is fast and punctual. The most pleasant surprise was the quick check-in and check-out process, saving a significant amount of commute time. The staff's professionalism is extremely high, able to respond to all kinds of business needs promptly. It's a benchmark for business travel that balances efficiency and comfort.

Marriott never ceases to impress—it was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The cleanliness was unmatched; every corner of the room and facility was spotless and well-maintained. The staff were incredibly polite, helpful, and professional, making every interaction feel warm and seamless.
But what made this stay extra special was that I proposed during this visit—and everything about the experience contributed to making it perfect. The smooth service, calm ambiance, and attention to detail made it a truly unforgettable moment for us.
Highly recommend the Marriott for anyone looking for both luxury and heartwarming hospitality. Thank you for making this milestone so beautiful

Our stay was fantastic! Special thanks to Ms. Zhan at the front desk for her thoughtful service and help during check-in. She upgraded our room when possible and gave us recommendations for evening activities. What really stood out was when she offered us two warm, yes, warm walnut cookies – they were so comforting and delicious, like coming home, especially since we were a bit hungry! We extended our stay for another night, and Ms. Jia at the front desk was equally warm and attentive. The entire hotel, from its facilities to its soft services, feels grand and well-designed. The bedding is incredibly comfortable, and the breakfast and dinner buffets offer a wide variety of choices. I also appreciate their strong commitment to environmental protection, with trash cans that have ditched plastic bags – excellent!

The hotel's location is great, and the views are truly wonderful. The children's play area is more suitable for younger kids. We happened to check in when the hotel was hosting a competition, and it was a mess...kids running everywhere with no one to supervise them. Breakfast was decent, neither good nor bad. However, this is the first time I've checked into a hotel where they didn't confirm any specific information with me – no mention of whether I'd booked breakfast, or the breakfast times and location. Our room was missing essential toiletries upon check-in, and after we arrived, we had to wait several hours before being told a room was ready. So, why were essential items missing after such a long wait? The service definitely needs improvement.

This hotel boasts an excellent location and environment, perfect for family trips with seniors and children. We stayed for two days over the weekend, and there was no need to venture out; we simply ate, lived, and explored within the hotel's beautiful grounds. I've previously stayed at hotels on three sides of West Lake, including the West Lake State Guesthouse, but I won't choose this area again. The transportation access is quite inconvenient. Most rooms likely don't offer lake views, though it's not a far walk to the lakeside. The hotel facilities are decent and well-maintained, with all the essentials. The toiletries are Guerlain. In my room, the toilet lid would cover the flush button when lifted, which was quite annoying. The room's door lock was also temperamental; the deadbolt wouldn't engage. I'm unsure if the air conditioning is centrally controlled, as I could only adjust the fan speed, which led to me sweating indoors in the middle of winter, unable to even use the duvet. Because the room was so hot, there were also mosquitoes in winter, more than one buzzing around. The hotel service was convenient, with golf carts available for transport around the grounds. The room cleaning was also well done. However, it seemed they were reluctant to provide extra slippers during a multi-day stay, which wasn't ideal. We arrived on Sunday morning, and the hotel was extremely busy. They wouldn't allow early check-in, and we waited a long time. Even after an expensive and unappetizing lunch at the hotel's Peony Pavilion, we still couldn't check in. The customer service representative who assisted me added me on WeChat but then didn't reply to messages or answer calls, citing busyness. I then wondered, why add on WeChat if they're not going to respond? Is it just for a good review? Are customer needs and privacy not important? When booking this hotel, several services were bundled, such as travel photography, and upon arrival, we received several vouchers for the buffet dinner, café, and lunch. In reality, the hotel's dining is mediocre and primarily expensive. If you want to savor Hangzhou's local cuisine, I suggest finding an old reputable restaurant outside. The hotel also offers boat tours starting at 10 AM, which are ridiculously expensive; over 200 yuan plus a service charge, and require a reservation, while the most luxurious painted boats at the lakeside dock only cost a few dozen yuan. There are also afternoon garden tours and options like ordering fruit pillows. I recommend the hotel reduce these scattered extra activities and offer more competitive pricing!

__WeChat54958****Before arriving, I read quite a few reviews and honestly had some concerns. I had initially planned to book two rooms, but due to a mix-up and booking late, I only managed to secure one. With a 'what-the-heck' attitude, I called, and Ms. Shao Linfang from the reservations department answered. She said she'd help me confirm. Although I couldn't get the second room, she was incredibly responsive, upgraded my existing room, and even arranged for a fruit platter. She also proactively asked if I needed children's amenities, which were prepared and ready in the room, along with a mini-bar. It truly lives up to its reputation as a seasoned five-star hotel; the overall service standard is consistently excellent. Crucially, the hotel's location is superb. Wulin Night Market is right downstairs, and West Lake is just a 10-minute walk away. This was incredibly convenient, especially when West Lake's traffic restrictions made it impossible to get a taxi. The buffet breakfast also offered a good variety. I was very satisfied with the accommodation on this trip. A special thanks to Ms. Shao!
AAnthony PhillipThis place is absolutely amazing! The hotel is extremely relaxing and peaceful, the food is delicious, with the breakfast being exceptional, and the spa area (sauna, steam, jacuzzi) is an absolute delight after a round of golf. As for the golf course, set amongst a tea plantation, it is stunning!
For both hotel and golf course team, nothing was too much trouble, and a special mention goes to Lucy, front of house manager, who was attentive from first to last, and ensured my stay was very memorable. I will return!
LLudanxiaTraveling with our kids this time, the hotel's butler service was truly the most touching part! As soon as we got out of the car, the butler proactively came to help with our luggage and arranged the most convenient transportation and sightseeing routes for us, which saved us so much hassle. This kind of family-like care made us feel completely at ease throughout our stay. Seeing the children have so much fun, we knew we had picked the right place! ❤️
WWulongaihechaMy family and I visited Xixi Wetland during the National Day holiday and stayed in Room 19 of the 'Hushu Guest House.' The 60-square-meter room was spacious and airy, perfect for three people. The decor was a charming Chinese retro style, and the garden landscape was beautiful and serene. Overall, the stay was fantastic! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
🏠 **Indoor Environment:** The room featured an entryway for shoes, a bathroom, a sitting area, a bedroom, and a private outdoor terrace. I loved being able to see the lake directly from the bed – very relaxing. A nighttime soak in the tub was wonderful, with a lovely view outside the window.
💁 **Service:** The butler and all staff members were incredibly polite and enthusiastic. There was a dedicated shuttle service from the North Gate of the wetland. After check-in, the butler thoughtfully explained the hotel's garden design and surroundings, then guided us to our room and detailed its layout. We received complimentary welcome fruit and evening service, and the entire room smelled fragrant and fresh. We also participated in a craft class with an instructor, which was a great experience.
🍃 **Outdoor Environment:** The winding paths were secluded and picturesque. All guest room areas could be accessed via a single loop, so there was no getting lost, and along the way, we experienced various scenic views. The air was fresh, there was abundant greenery, and it was very quiet – even the elderly enjoyed it.
📪 **Minor Drawbacks:** Unfortunately, the complimentary photoshoot service we were offered fell through as the collaborating photographer bailed, so we didn't get to experience that. Also, we forgot to claim the complimentary drinks at the bar.
MM468679****Staying at the Banyan Tree Hangzhou Xixi was a wonderful surprise this trip. The environment felt like a quiet and cozy nest. The suite I stayed in was very spacious and had everything I needed. During leisure time, I could explore the surrounding area, and they even provided a shuttle bus to take us to nearby dining spots, which was very convenient. The service was excellent, with warm and always soft-spoken staff. The room was clean and tidy, and the housekeeping was impeccable. I would definitely choose to stay here again if I have the chance.

GGuest UserTravelers beware! The photos advertising Ke Gamer do not resemble to actual room and the food is horrible. I opted to upgrade to the private hot spring villa for close to 4000rmb a night expecting a high class experience but was instead highly disappointed!
We arrived on a Saturday and reserved a table at the restaurant, famished from traveling and expecting a wonderful meal. They did not mention that this was a set menu (only for the package that was included with the room) so there was no option to select my dishes nor to explain our gluten free diet. First bread came (couldn’t eat it, gluten) then a mushroom chicken soup that was difficult to swallow. Over salted and the chicken was rubbery. Then came there version of a kimchi that was ok. Shrimp next that was battered (gluten) and smothered in mayonnaise, and then an over salted spicy beef dish and inedible veggies dish.At this point we decided to leave and opted instead to pay for food delivery. When we shared this information with the assistant helping us he messaged me saying you are a foreigner would you prefer chicken wings or a steak. I’ve been living in China 10 years and never spoken to so rudely. My gf then wanted to have a soak in the hot spring and have a fire because the rain had stopped but she was told no they could not do this for us that night. That’s when I added the wechat and she deleted him so she would no longer have to talk to someone so rude. We did find it strange that even though I was now in communication with him he still attempted to friend my gf several times, very disrespectful!! After I explained how unsatisfactory the service was to that point he made more of an effort and we did get to enjoy a relaxing evening outside. The next day we stayed away from the restaurant not wanting to have that experience again so ordered delivery service again, decent food for delivery. We did attempt the on site restaurant one more time before checking out for breakfast and this was awful as well. Cold eggs, bacon and sausage. They did have a nice assortment of breads which we could not eat (gluten) so we had a yogurt container and coffee before leaving.
One part of the stay was an assistant driving us into town to a nice tea shop. He took us tot he location and offered to help us select a shop. He was very friendly and helpful inside the shop to explain the differences in teas and get us a good deal. We ended up purchasing 2 boxes of tea to take home.
Overall I did not enjoy the stay at this overpriced and falsely advertised hotel. This is certainly one case when we did not get what we paid for. Wishing you better luck than we had.
KkakuseiYou can tell the facilities are a bit old, and because the hotel has some years on it, the soundproofing is pretty mediocre. You can hear everything happening in the hallway, and the opening and closing of doors in the next room is especially noticeable.
The breakfast selection and taste are quite ordinary for a five-star hotel; nothing particularly memorable.
The location is great for exploring the small commodities market, within walking distance. There are also plenty of dining options within a couple of blocks. It's more suitable for business travel than for a leisure trip to this city.
Oh, and booking through Ctrip doesn't allow you to earn points in the Marriott Bonvoy program, which is a huge drawback compared to other platforms that automatically link to your Marriott membership for points.
AAnonymous UserDuring the bustling May Day holiday at Wuzhen's Xizha Scenic Area, it was a rare find to stumble upon such a relatively tranquil spot, and overall, it truly exceeded my expectations. I chose the boat ride to the hotel over the electric cart. Although the boatman complained that it took half an hour and was the longest route, it offered a very authentic and direct experience of the water town. The room was very spacious, and the bed was incredibly comfortable – far superior to the Zhinshui Hotel I stayed at before. It was also wonderfully quiet once the crowds dispersed in the evening. Wandering around the hotel, the Chinese architectural style made for some really nice photos. My main critique, however, is reserved for the restaurant. I had both breakfast and dinner there, and the food wasn't up to par, with the service leaving much to be desired. I've already provided detailed feedback to the hotel staff upon check-out, and I truly hope they can improve.
KkhakkiWe did not experience any problems during our stay. The facilities were clean and tidy. The buffet breakfast was quite good, with a satisfying variety and quality.
