It’s quite a walk from the Hbf, but the road is smooth and easy. The hotel is very close to other train stations and a large shopping mall where you can find everything, including a food court. Just keep in mind the closing times. If you need anything late, you’ll have to walk back toward the Hbf side, since the nearby Rewe closes early along with the mall.
The room was nice and fairly priced overall. Breakfast was good, with slight changes to the options each day, which I appreciated. My favorites were the hash browns and fried mushrooms. The croissant, however, was just average compared to the ones at the Adina in Nuremberg.
We've now stayed here for the third time. For over three years, neither the bar nor the rather pleasant dining room has been open. Anyone expecting these amenities will currently be disappointed. The front desk is staffed by constantly changing individuals who don't appear to be hotel employees. Since this year, guests are asked via signs at breakfast to clear their own tables. All of this points to a significant staffing issue. The service is okay, but not the friendliest. I highly doubt anyone working here has any formal hospitality training. We are now aware of these circumstances. For us, it offers space, seating, a private bathroom, and a bowling alley if you want one. It's clean and quite affordable. The breakfast buffet is quite good. Furthermore, it offers special rooms for families, which we also liked. The location is suburban, which suits us. It seems to attract many travelers passing through, as it's not far from the highway, yet it's very quietly situated.
The hotel is in a great location, and it should be the best hotel in Baden-Baden. It is located opposite the drinking fountain hall and the casino. As expected, I was not given the room type I booked at first, but after negotiation, I was given a larger room type. So if you don't speak English well, book a basic room in Europe, and don't pay extra for other room types, because they will definitely give you a worse room type. This is my experience. The hotel is very close to the central area, within a few minutes' walk. There is a Lion Hotel restaurant near the hotel that is very popular and basically full, and the boss lady serves in person. I ordered pork knuckle and grilled ribs, which tasted great. The hotel's breakfast is very good and the service is also thoughtful. Baden-Baden is a relaxing and romantic resort city.
Like the scene in the picture, it has been a building for more than 100 years. The personal interest and hobby model is more in line. The restaurant dishes at night are very good. There are characteristics of the Black Forest.
The hotel is relatively old, the door is scratched, there is no exhaust fan, and it is difficult to dry clothes. It is next to the Danube River and the scenery is good. Breakfast was okay, but there were no hot drinks
German town express hotel, next to a small water playground. The hotel facilities are simple, the room is not big, my room can see the small pasture of the sheep. Breakfast is much richer than the average German hotel, it is recommended to stay.
We were certainly 10-12 once in the hotel with thermal connection and wanted to visit again after the operator change. In fact, nothing has changed, the breakfast buffet area and the lobby were renovated. All older rooms appear to have been renovated. We had a beautiful large room in the main building and also the breakfast buffet did hardly open wishes. Checkout is now 12:00, as long as you can use the bathroom still free.
We liked it and we were very happy to come back.
Amazing view albeit the spa facilities are a bit old and dated, however the surroundings are very pretty and great for hikes and forest walks

GGuest UserThe location is very nice, and quite convenient, there are two super market. You can buy drinks and food. On the other hand, there are a lot of cafes.
Ttravels– Extremely Disappointed with My Stay
I usually don’t leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience after a recent stay at Mercury Hotel. Unfortunately, it was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve had in years.
1. Room Condition – Far from What Was Advertised
The photos on the website looked great, but the reality was shocking. The room was small, outdated, and poorly cleaned.
2. Customer Service – Cold and Unhelpful
The front desk staff seemed disinterested and dismissive. When I ask for water they didnt give.
3. Breakfast
It was included in the stay but it was really poor.
AAnxiaonianThe room is very clean, the space is large, the furniture is also very elegant, there is a feeling of being at home, and more importantly, the breakfast is rich.
MMichael54188Great location right by the train station, offering good value for money. It's a bit older, but still clean and hygienic, so no issues there. Perfect for business travelers. I even saw Lufthansa crew staying here.
GGuest UserThe whole hotel looks old, and the bathroom door in the room can't be closed. The air conditioning has problems—it's constantly cold, and there is no heating. However, the front desk staff and restaurant service personnel are relatively friendly. The breakfast selection is also quite rich. However, compared to four-star hotels in Taiwan, the facilities here seem outdated. Taiwan’s hotels are newer and cleaner, and the food selection is also more abundant.
GGuest UserVery good, I will come again next time. The location is very good, very close to the train station and the city center. There are swimming pools and other facilities inside. It is very good for family travel. I hope it can be useful to others.
