GGuest UserStayed one night because of the marathon the next day. The staffs were friendly and procedures like Checkin are convenient. Great location, close to the station and hotel. However, the inability of the air conditioner to heat up made the room less comfortable. But I stillI had a good rest here and set a PB in the race the next day, so it was a good stay overall.
GGuest UserLovely hotel close to town, quick friendly check in
Big room with plenty of storage and shower room . Sadly my room wasn’t very clean, found dirty tissue under dresser.
Spa facilities amazing and 1hr free use each day if stay.
GGuest UserI've stayed at this hotel before and I will definitely be staying again. The location is ideal for me with easy access to the city centre either by walking, bus, or taxi. The rooms have always been very clean and a good size too. The buffet style breakfast is always superb and leisure facilities give you a chance to unwind in the pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room.
The staff have always been pleasant, friendly, and polite.
5 stars from me!
GGuest UserThe location is fantastic! Our room had a view of the church, and it's just a 10-minute walk to the cathedral. It's even more convenient if you're traveling by train, as the station is only a 3-minute walk away. The breakfast is a Western-style quick meal, with a limited selection. I really enjoyed the grilled mushrooms, and the cereal bowls were delicious too.
The room and bathroom were a bit small, and you'll need to bring your own toothbrush and slippers.
GGuest UserFront desk service without a smile. Evening restaurant staff lacking warmth. Pool cold. Children’s area dirty. Room was basic but clean. Breakfast staff were fabulous.
GGuest UserThis hotel is housed in a centuries-old building, giving it a real sense of history. The hallways and rooms have a lovely, pleasant scent. Its location is excellent, right by the ancient city walls where you can go up for panoramic views. It's also within walking distance of attractions like York Minster and Shambles. The rooms are spacious with high ceilings, and there's plenty of space to lay out two large suitcases. The breakfast restaurant is located past the front desk, at the other end of the main building. You enter through a foyer and then need to go up a few steps and turn a corner to find it. The buffet breakfast offers a good variety and is of decent quality. Overall, the hotel's facilities, cleanliness, ambiance, and service are all very good. When we checked out, a staff member even operated the lift for us, so we didn't have to carry our luggage up a few steps.
HHeiress LegaspiThe room was satisfactory— not too big, but certainly larger than those found in chain hotels. The location was lovely; however, the standard room we received had a view of the parking lot. Due to the wooden floors, we were able to hear other guests walking around quite easily. The sauna and steam facilities were enjoyable, but it would have been great to have a bit more menthol or some options to help eliminate the smell of sweat. Thank you for your attention to these details.
GGuest UserHaving visited previously we were very much looking forward to spending 2 nights at The Feversham Arms. We were disappointed to see how tired the venue looked on the outside the sun was shining and we looked forward to spending the afternoon having lunch by the pool and Soaking up the sun.
The service was below par and the food was average despite being quite heavily priced. There wasn’t enough seats to accommodate the guests who all obviously wanted to do the same thing. The pool area had uplifted flags with weeds growing and the pool is in desperate need of repair. Having visited previously and been treated with kind and courteous staff I was disheartened by the attitude of some of the service staff, especially in the spa area and the alfresco dining area.
DDengsilihongzhangI looked up York Hotel on Ctrip and accidentally stayed in this treasure hotel. From the appearance of the entire hotel, the lobby, the corridor, to the room, everything is impeccable. The breakfast is also great. You can choose from a variety of types such as full English breakfast, which is cooked to order. I really love it. I am willing to come to York again for this hotel.
GGuest UserMy experience from entrance to reception was excellent, making me feel instantly at ease. It was clear that all staff members were dedicated and proud of their work, consistently going out of their way to assist guests. The breakfasts were truly wonderful and delicious! I especially want to commend Steve, the breakfast chef, whose outstanding cooking was matched only by his incredibly cheerful smile.
