The filet steak was cooked exactly how I asked. Simple menu, nothing fancy, but the meat quality came through. I liked that they didn't drown it in sauce or over-season. Just clean, honest food. Portion was decent for the price too. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

Been coming here for a while now. The meat dishes are always on point, cooked just right every single time. Place is comfortable, easy to get to. Only thing is dessert can take a bit, but I keep coming back for the food anyway.

The schnitzel here is really solid — meat stays tender and the breading has that proper crunch. It’s not cheap, but you can tell they do it right. I sat near the window and the light was nice, made the whole meal feel a bit more relaxed. Would come back if I’m craving that again.

Service was spot on - friendly but not hovering. They swapped a side for me without any fuss and the wine suggestion actually worked well with my dish. Owner came by for a quick chat, funny guy. Made the whole thing feel more personal. Only thing, place got a bit loud later on. Still, solid experience.

Nice spot right in Rankweil's center. Outdoor seating was lovely for summer, and the staff didn't keep us waiting long.

Decent spot for a quick meal, easy to find and prices are fair. The food was pretty good, though it did take a while to come out and wasn't always hot when it arrived. Opening hours are a bit limited, which is a small hassle. Fine if you're not in a rush.

The cheese dumplings were the highlight — proper and hearty, exactly what you want after a day outside. Room was fine, view of Kanisfluh lovely. Staff friendly too, though nothing over the top. Solid stop if you're in the area.

Went back two days later just for that risotto again. Lemon and rosemary together, so simple but it worked. Chef’s burger was solid too, pork chop fine. Service kept it easy, no hovering. Place has a quiet hum to it, felt right for a slow lunch. Maybe slightly pricey but I didn’t mind.

The strudel was decent, and the staff were friendly enough. Coffee came out a bit too hot for my taste, but that's a minor thing. The courtyard is a nice spot to sit in when the weather cooperates. Solid choice for a quiet afternoon in Wangen.

Stopped by for a late breakfast and grabbed the white sausages with pretzel and tomato soup. Really hit the spot, especially the soup. Sat outside, which was nice since the weather was good. Service was fine, nothing crazy. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

Nicole took care of us and honestly she made the whole night. Left with a smile, would totally come back for her 😊

Stopped in for a drink and ended up staying longer than planned. They bring out nuts and pretzels with your order, which is a nice touch. Old-school vibe inside, nothing fancy but comfortable. Bathrooms were surprisingly clean, too. My martini was solid, though I wish they'd offered a better olive selection. Fine spot if you're in the area and just want a relaxed drink.

The buffet here is solid for vegetarians — plenty of hot dishes that were actually fresh, not sitting around. They even had Jain options, which you don't see often in this area. Place itself is a bit cramped though, tables close together. Fine if you're not in a rush.

The Filou bread straight from the oven was the highlight—warm, crusty, perfect with my oat milk cappuccino. Good vegan options too. Coffee was solid, though I wish they had a natural wine option to pair with that bread.

The view from up there is something else — you can see all the way across Lake Constance into Switzerland and Vorarlberg. Food was decent, nothing crazy, but the owner was friendly and it made the whole stop feel easy. Sat a bit longer than planned just taking it in.

Decent breakfast spread, nicely presented. Staff were friendly without hovering. Solid spot for a relaxed morning meal.

Lovely spot by the lake, the lemon meringue pie was really good. Coffee hit the spot too. Just wish the toilets weren't so busy, but otherwise a nice place to sit and relax.

The pistachio and dark chocolate are the ones to get. You can tell the ice cream is made in-house, natural colors, real fruit taste, not that sugary mess you find in most places. I had a scoop of each and honestly, a glass of dry riesling would've paired nicely with the pistachio. Place was a bit busy but worth it.

Celebrated our anniversary here again — the wine list is always on point. Food was solid, service friendly. Maybe a bit pricey for what you get, but we left happy. 🍷

The owner was really friendly and chatted with us for a bit. I liked that the vegetables tasted fresh. Wood stove kept it cozy on a rainy evening.

Food was solid, that's what matters. Had the schnitzel and it came out hot and crispy. Service was fine too, no complaints there. Place itself is a bit dated, could use some work, but honestly I don't care much about that when the food's good. I'll be back.

Sunday brunch buffet was solid. Lots of options, both savory and sweet, and everything looked pretty good. Make sure you book ahead though, it gets busy.

Stopped here on the Lechweg trail before the kitchen even opened—they still let us grab drinks. The food was solid, service super friendly. Glad we waited it out.

Open on Sundays, which is rare around here. Breakfast buffet works by weight — grab what you want, pay accordingly. Decent spread for a quick stop before hitting the motorway. Nothing fancy, but it does the job. Service was fine, no complaints.
