The private room was nice, felt safe with the air purifier running. But for the price, I expected a bit more space honestly. It was a bit tight for our group of four.

Their lunch set included a creative vegetarian starter, paired nicely with a crisp white wine.

The soba is really good here. You can tell they care about the noodles, they even mill their own flour.

The onion gratin soup was a real surprise. So rich and comforting, with that perfect cheesy crust. Honestly, I almost liked it more than my galette! The menu has so many choices, it's hard to pick just one.

A nice yakiniku spot in Echoland. The charcoal fire makes a difference. The set menu portions are generous, good for a small group.

The pasta was really good, and the chicken dish was a highlight too. What stood out for me was the atmosphere—the lighting was soft and the tables weren't too close together. It just felt comfortable to sit there for a while.

The fried chicken bar snack is a huge portion, honestly could be a meal on its own. The place is really more for drinks and hanging out though. Good spot if you just want to nibble and have a beer.

The NZ tenderloin was really good. But honestly, the portion size for the price felt a bit off. It's a nice piece of meat, just wish there was a little more on the plate for what you pay.

The samosas are incredible. The pastry is flaky and crisp, and the spiced potato filling is perfectly seasoned. A must-try. The beer was served in a chilled glass, which was a nice touch.

Portions are generous here. The veggie sushi rolls are noticeably larger than what you'd get in Tokyo. Tempura was crisp and fresh. Good for a quick business dinner, though they do close early.

The wooden walls have this lovely, worn-in warmth. It's just so calming, especially with that soft jazz playing in the background.

Stopped by after visiting the castle. Right by the station, super convenient. Got a seat at the counter—nice for eating alone. Had the soba set, it was solid. Quick and easy.

Sanzoku Yaki for lunch. Spacious izakaya. The chicken was the best I had on this trip. Generous portion.

Cold soba in winter. Still good. Tempura tastes like the ingredients themselves. Thin noodles.

Convenient location just off the main road, maybe 5 minutes by car from Hakuba Station. Parking is tight, only a few spots out front. Went on a Tuesday evening and got the last one. Good for a quick, no-fuss meal after a day out.

Coffee's solid here, cappuccino and flat white both good. But that potato leek soup is the real deal – creamy, not too heavy. Went back for a second bowl.

Ordered the tonkatsu set. The pork cutlet was thick and juicy, with a really crisp panko crust that didn't get soggy. The cabbage was fresh, and the miso soup was properly hot. Cash only, so had to run to the ATM.

The handmade soba noodles were the highlight for me. I had the cold version, and the texture was just right—firm and fresh. The broth for the hot soba was clean-tasting, not too heavy. Really appreciated the quality of the buckwheat.

Good spot for a quick lunch after visiting the castle. Right on the river path from the station. Service was efficient, got my soba and tempura set quickly. The view from the window seat was a nice bonus. Price was reasonable for the area.

The staff were really polite and cheerful. Even when we had to wait a bit, they handled everything efficiently and kept things pleasant.

Stopped by after seeing Matsumoto Castle. The tonkatsu set was the move — the pork cutlet had a really nice, crispy breading. They even include a little piece of pineapple for dessert, which was a fun touch. It's a popular lunch spot, so maybe expect a short wait.
