The mini-bar offered a good selection of complimentary drinks: plenty of purified water (2 bottles of Evian & filtered water daily), and the other beverages (coconut water & Coke) were decent.
For seasonal welcome fruits, there were the usual watermelon, cantaloupe, pineapple, apples, pears, and oranges, all free. I assume you can get free refills for a normal amount. They can also cut the fruit and deliver it to your room. Since it was my birthday on check-in, they even gave me a small cake (it was quite tasty).
The private butler service was excellent for a hotel of this price point. Calls were answered fairly promptly, and the standard laundry service was efficient and tidy. The butler was basically available 24/7, very friendly and approachable – a down-to-earth service style.
Food, drinks, and spa treatments were not cheap, portions were small, and the taste was average. There's a small convenience store within the hotel grounds. The hotel's architecture and facilities are quite unique, and there's a super photogenic art museum a few hundred meters away. When the bar is open and it's busy, having a drink and swimming in the desert sounds like a great experience.
The desert area around the hotel offers stargazing, fireworks, singing performances, and a standing swing (all free – I had to discover these myself as the hotel didn't fully inform me upon arrival, which was a bit disappointing). There are also some other typical desert activities (at an additional cost).
Overall, it’s perfect for a vacation, relaxing and doing nothing, and great for taking photos!
A hotel I really like. Although the location is a bit remote, it doesn't matter because I drove here. It's not far from Huaiyuan Night Market.
Let's talk about the hotel room. It opened in January this year and was just launched on Ctrip in April. It's very new, but it doesn't have any smell. The room design is very beautiful and the space is very large. The only regret is that there is no view outside the window, but there is a large outdoor terrace.
The toiletries smell of lavender, I like it very much.
The most important thing is that since I booked two nights on 4.29 and 5.2 respectively, but the price difference was very large, the front desk manager helped to upgrade the room for free, I was so happy🥳
This stay was absolutely perfect! The environment was clean and tidy, and the common areas were fresh and spacious. We booked a family suite, and the room was huge with excellent natural light and ventilation. The cleanliness was exceptional, even the hard-to-reach corners were spotless. The mattress was just right – not too soft, not too firm – so we slept incredibly well. The staff were gentle and thoughtful, responding quickly to any requests. It's super convenient for dining, drinking, and getting around. Overall, the value for money is outstanding. Highly recommended, this is definitely my top choice for accommodation in the area!
The room was clean and sanitary. I stayed here for three days. Breakfast is also good. There are steamed cereals, Western pastries, cold dishes and hot dishes every day. They are very child-friendly and basically not spicy. Yogurt, pudding, milk, soy milk and porridge are available. Diagonally opposite the hotel is Xiangyang Street (BBQ Street).
The hotel is also conveniently located to several attractions in the city. It only takes 3-5 minutes to walk to the Drum Tower and Gaomiao. There is a park behind Chairman Mao, and across the park is the Gaomiao. Zhongwei Museum is a 6-minute taxi ride away.
The hotel staff are all warm and polite. I left my mobile phone charging cable behind when I left. The cleaning staff found it in time and the lady at the front desk picked it up for me and brought it back down. She also gave souvenirs to the children. I’m really happy! The child asked why he should stay at Guyu Jasmine Hotel next time he comes to Zhongwei.
The trip to the Zhongwei desert has dug a treasure! It was a surprise to stay for three nights. The boss was enthusiastic and responsible, and the shuttle was arranged clearly. The hotel has its own camel riding, desert motorcycle and other projects. You can immerse yourself in the desert without leaving the store, without extra running. The sunset is equipped with a desert, the accommodation is comfortable, the fun is complete, the experience is directly sealed, and the strong Amway is for everyone! (The watermelon sent by my aunt is super delicious and super sweet)
Hygiene: Very clean, exceptionally good.
Facilities: Brand new, incredibly well-equipped.
Environment: The environment is excellent, clean, cozy, and comfortable.
Service: Extremely practical, and the service is outstanding.
Exquisite Afternoon Tea: The afternoon tea was delicious and freshly made.
This stay was such a pleasant surprise! The environment was clean and comfortable, and the attention to detail was impressive. The surrounding amenities are convenient, and the service was warm and welcoming, making for a truly enjoyable stay. They proactively explained all the facilities during check-in. The room environment exceeded expectations; it was impeccably clean and tidy. The location is super convenient, right next to Huirong Shopping Mall, and Yuhuangge Scenic Area is just behind the hotel. It's close to attractions and shopping districts, with easy access to dining and shopping. There's a free laundry room, which is a lifesaver for last-minute laundry, and you can even dry your clothes. They also provide local travel tips – definitely worth a visit!
1. The room is clean and tidy, the service is warm and thoughtful, the location is very convenient, the stay experience is superb, I will choose here next time!
2. Very good value for money, quiet and comfortable environment, complete facilities, overall very satisfied, recommended stay.
3. The front desk attitude is very good, the room hygiene is in place, the travel is convenient, and the stay is very comfortable.
The standard room we stayed in was good, cheap and good quality. The hotel staff was warm and thoughtful. When guests asked for ice, they were able to actively provide solutions. I will stay here again if I have the chance.
I think that the facilities in the hotel opened in Dawukou are the best, but these few stays are very unpleasant. The so-called presidential suite I chose for the first time may be the reason that no one has lived. There is a layer of floating dust on the table. It’s okay to ask cleaning to clean it again. The service sister at night can bring what we need in time and the service is very warm. It can also make up for the unpleasantness. This time I booked a suite and drank in the house next door until 2 am. More, vomiting and shouting, We called the front desk, and there were service staff who patiently explained that they told me not to listen. They can't help it. The most funny thing is that I went to check out the next day. I informed the front desk staff of the situation, and then the front desk staff was the same as if they didn't hear it. There was no feedback. I am a little looking forward to the new hotel. Open the door quickly, this time it hurts us who go back to our hometown. Heart. I really hope Dawukou is getting better and better, but if you go to operate like this, it really hurts the hearts of the residents.

This hotel was a bit unexpected. I originally wanted to visit attractions in Xixia District, so I searched for a hotel with good reviews. It turned out to be in a tourist attraction, which was amazing. The hotel has an annex and a main building. Try to stay in the main building. The overall facilities of the annex are the same as those of a hospital ward. I asked the staff and they said it was a nursing home before. It feels a bit scary. Of course, it doesn't matter if you don't care.
The facilities in the main building of the hotel are much newer, and breakfast and hot springs are also convenient. However, the hot springs are really mediocre, especially the shower area, which has a smell. Maybe it's because of the May Day holiday.
The attractions are quite novel, and I saw the most people during the May Day holiday. The quality of various performances is very high, and the NPCs are very dedicated and professional, and their appearance is also online. I watched the Helan Festival and the big circus, and the price-performance ratio is not bad.
The service is generally good, whether it is the restaurant or the guest room, the service awareness is not bad.

Outstanding
GGuest UserI traveled all the way from Beijing to the Desert Star Hotel just for the experience of staying in the desert. On the day of my check-in, a strong wind picked up around noon, making our cabin creak as if it might blow away. But surprisingly, there was no dust inside the room, just an exhilarating feeling.
The bathroom in the cabin was clean and convenient, with plenty of hot water for showering. The bedding was comfortable, and the room temperature was just right. The hot pot dinner was fantastic, with a rich variety of ingredients. The beef and lamb slices were incredibly tender, and there were so many side dishes, Western pastries, stews, and BBQ options that we couldn't possibly try everything. Breakfast offered a delicious mix of Chinese and Western options with a wide selection. Staying at the Desert Star Hotel was truly a rare experience, living embraced by the stars and the desert. It was novel, comfortable, and delightful; every photo taken was a masterpiece. After 10 PM was prime stargazing time, and I hadn't seen such a sky full of stars in ages!
The hotel's butler was diligent and responsible, sending guidance messages constantly. The most pleasant surprise was the timely stargazing index they provided – it was so useful! Before leaving, we accidentally found a necklace we had lost at the Star Cafe, which was another delightful surprise. The entire desert camp, from the reception and butler communication to the hygiene, cleaning, dining, and entertainment, was well-organized. The staff were friendly and patient, and with the added bonus of the desert and starry night views, it was truly a happy trip! 👍

GGuest UserThe front desk lady is warm and patient, and can communicate and deal with problems in time, 100 points. The room infrastructure is complete, there are sofas, tables, comfortable and soft mattresses, and automatic curtains are closed. There is also a good viewing experience with a giant curtain. The bathroom is well equipped, the toilet is clean, and it is equipped with two disposable bath towels and face towels. Toothbrushes are suitable for all kinds of travel, such as couples, parents and children. Equipped with elevators, convenient transportation nearby, soundproof environment without noise. There are also a variety of delicious restaurants and delicacies nearby, full of fireworks, in summary, is a hotel with high cost performance.
