From the moment you step into the ”hotel”, you are surrounded by meticulous service. The front desk staff checked in quickly with a professional and friendly attitude, and also introduced the hotel's special services and surrounding attractions intimately. Welcome fruit is prepared in the room, and the details are full of care.
In terms of catering, the restaurant waiter's detailed introduction and personalized recommendation of the dishes makes the dining experience more pleasant. When leaving the store, the staff not only assisted in carrying luggage, but also presented local special gifts. This warmth makes people feel more cordial.
Overall, the hotel's service team has transformed every interaction into an unforgettable experience with a professional, meticulous and sincere attitude, and truly ”home away from home”.

The room was quite spacious, and the twin-bed room was perfectly adequate for a family with children. We stayed during the May Day holiday, so there were a lot of guests, and the staff were very busy, but they still tried their best to accommodate all our requests. The cleanliness was acceptable. Breakfast was 68 RMB, but children over 140cm were charged adult price. The variety was pretty good, and the value for money was decent. The swimming pool and gym were both great.
This stay was absolutely perfect! The environment was clean and tidy, and the common areas were fresh and spacious. We booked a family suite, and the room was huge with excellent natural light and ventilation. The cleanliness was exceptional, even the hard-to-reach corners were spotless. The mattress was just right – not too soft, not too firm – so we slept incredibly well. The staff were gentle and thoughtful, responding quickly to any requests. It's super convenient for dining, drinking, and getting around. Overall, the value for money is outstanding. Highly recommended, this is definitely my top choice for accommodation in the area!
The first hotel I stayed in when I came to Yinchuan. Everything in the new hotel is very new. You can see that the decoration and equipment are also carefully designed, such as hair dryers, toothbrushes, electric toilets, humidifiers, etc. The room is quite large and has a balcony. The environment is also very clean, minimalist style, the service attitude is also very good, and the front desk lady is great~
The disadvantage is that the location is a bit remote, there are not many restaurants nearby, and you have to drive there, so it is recommended to pack breakfast. But it is still very close to the Western Xia Imperial Mausoleum, so it is recommended to check in there. Then after checking in to the new hotel, it is still recommended to open the window for ventilation.
Hygiene: Very clean, exceptionally good.
Facilities: Brand new, incredibly well-equipped.
Environment: The environment is excellent, clean, cozy, and comfortable.
Service: Extremely practical, and the service is outstanding.
Exquisite Afternoon Tea: The afternoon tea was delicious and freshly made.
This stay was such a pleasant surprise! The environment was clean and comfortable, and the attention to detail was impressive. The surrounding amenities are convenient, and the service was warm and welcoming, making for a truly enjoyable stay. They proactively explained all the facilities during check-in. The room environment exceeded expectations; it was impeccably clean and tidy. The location is super convenient, right next to Huirong Shopping Mall, and Yuhuangge Scenic Area is just behind the hotel. It's close to attractions and shopping districts, with easy access to dining and shopping. There's a free laundry room, which is a lifesaver for last-minute laundry, and you can even dry your clothes. They also provide local travel tips – definitely worth a visit!

This hotel was a bit unexpected. I originally wanted to visit attractions in Xixia District, so I searched for a hotel with good reviews. It turned out to be in a tourist attraction, which was amazing. The hotel has an annex and a main building. Try to stay in the main building. The overall facilities of the annex are the same as those of a hospital ward. I asked the staff and they said it was a nursing home before. It feels a bit scary. Of course, it doesn't matter if you don't care.
The facilities in the main building of the hotel are much newer, and breakfast and hot springs are also convenient. However, the hot springs are really mediocre, especially the shower area, which has a smell. Maybe it's because of the May Day holiday.
The attractions are quite novel, and I saw the most people during the May Day holiday. The quality of various performances is very high, and the NPCs are very dedicated and professional, and their appearance is also online. I watched the Helan Festival and the big circus, and the price-performance ratio is not bad.
The service is generally good, whether it is the restaurant or the guest room, the service awareness is not bad.
I traveled all the way from Beijing to the Desert Star Hotel just for the experience of staying in the desert. On the day of my check-in, a strong wind picked up around noon, making our cabin creak as if it might blow away. But surprisingly, there was no dust inside the room, just an exhilarating feeling.
The bathroom in the cabin was clean and convenient, with plenty of hot water for showering. The bedding was comfortable, and the room temperature was just right. The hot pot dinner was fantastic, with a rich variety of ingredients. The beef and lamb slices were incredibly tender, and there were so many side dishes, Western pastries, stews, and BBQ options that we couldn't possibly try everything. Breakfast offered a delicious mix of Chinese and Western options with a wide selection. Staying at the Desert Star Hotel was truly a rare experience, living embraced by the stars and the desert. It was novel, comfortable, and delightful; every photo taken was a masterpiece. After 10 PM was prime stargazing time, and I hadn't seen such a sky full of stars in ages!
The hotel's butler was diligent and responsible, sending guidance messages constantly. The most pleasant surprise was the timely stargazing index they provided – it was so useful! Before leaving, we accidentally found a necklace we had lost at the Star Cafe, which was another delightful surprise. The entire desert camp, from the reception and butler communication to the hygiene, cleaning, dining, and entertainment, was well-organized. The staff were friendly and patient, and with the added bonus of the desert and starry night views, it was truly a happy trip! 👍
The hotel facilities and hardware are good, the rooms are spacious, and the breakfast is rich. The only thing that is surprising is the service attitude, especially at the front desk. During the entire check-in, the person was cold and dejected, as if she owed her two buckets of rice. Breakfast The waiter also had no sense of service. When asked if there were fried eggs, the answer was no. The machine was broken, as if it was a matter of course. Western pastries were provided for breakfast, but no knives and forks were provided. I had to spread the bread with my mouth and dig out the jam with chopsticks! As a service industry, I believe this is closely related to the general manager of the hotel. I hope it will attract attention!
Service is not bad, breakfast is very rich, hotel facilities are small details, such as the plug with a razor, no hair dryer plug, no trash can in the bathroom, non-smoking room, sticking with a non-smoking sign, but there are ashtrays and matches in the house, the house is very big and big smell of smoke, Open the window and open the air conditioner. There is a small shaft of paper in the toilet, no spare.

AAnonymous UserThis truly lives up to its reputation as a top desert hotel in China. The design, facilities, renovation quality, and service all show immense effort.
Considering the price, I have two small suggestions: The shower stall would be better if it were fully enclosed. As it is, no matter how careful you are, the floor outside still gets wet. Also, there's no issue with positioning themselves as a family-friendly hotel, but the restaurant and the lounge area near the pool in the morning were a chaotic mess. Multiple children running around with constant screaming and no one supervising them is something that needs to be re-evaluated.
